The SL 72 shoes were first introduced by adidas in 1972 as part of the SL (Super Light) range of running shoes. The SL 72 was designed as a lightweight racing shoe, and this modern version honors that sporting heritage. They feature a lightweight nylon upper with soft suede overlays and a low-profile rubber outsole. The distinctive, retro-style SL 72 logo on the side is a nod to the original.
This is a good looking shoe. I wanted an all black one but this was the closest I could get (I got the black with dark grey accents).
I average to a women's size 6.5 and since most reviews said these run *very* big, I ordered a women's size 5 and glad I did. They are a teensy bit snug in length, but I think a 5.5 would have been too big. My foot is average width and these seem a bit wide, but nothing I can't work with.

Runs at least a half size too big.
Cloud White / Core Black / Grey One
The size is completely off for women. It's at least half a size too big and possibly a full size. I can no longer exchange them for the correct size because it's past 30 days. That's what I get for being proactive and buying a birthday gift early.
