Grant Holloway knows that greatness is a process — and he has the records to prove it, ranking among the fastest hurdlers in the world. Having led an illustrious collegiate and professional career, Holloway stands as a decorated world champion hurdler in both the 110 m and 60 m events, of which he has been the current world record holder since 2024.
Growing up in Chesapeake, Virginia, Holloway competed at an elite level not only in hurdling, running, and jumping, but was also a four-star wide receiver for his high school’s football team. He ultimately decided to focus on track and field and laced up his running gear with the dream of someday representing the United States on the world’s largest stage.
While in college, Holloway dominated the 60 m indoor hurdle events, winning national titles four times and even breaking a forty-year-old record in the 110 m hurdles when he was just 21 years old. His versatility also included competing in flat races, relays, and long jump. Holloway later turned professional in 2019 and joined the Brand with the 3-Stripes that same year; with Grant Holloway, adidas saw someone with a tenacity shared by the world’s most elite athletes.
Since then, he has competed internationally in both 60 m and 110 m hurdles, including fulfilling his dream of running for the United States at the world’s largest sporting event, which he did in 2021 and 2024 — ultimately making it to the podium eleven times and placing first in all but one event.
As much as Holloway has achieved and earned, he also takes to heart the importance of giving back; he allocates 20% of his income as donations to churches, homeless shelters, and freshman students at his alma mater. He’s also used video game streaming as a means of fundraising for his local churches.
