Great to see Adidas carrying the 5.10 legacy forward! The only target they didn’t quite hit is the quality and type of rubber that makes up the sole. The original 5.10’s used the same rubber that climbing shoes are made with - super sticky, soft, and grippy but prone to wear out quickly. The moment I touched them, I could tell Adidas uses a harder, more wear-resistant rubber for the soles now. Good for long life? Sure. But the original appeal of these shoes was you could go from trail to climbing route without changing your shoes. I wouldn’t try climbing a 5.4 in these, let alone a 5.10. Other than that, they’re fantastic - definitely rugged and made to take abuse. Don’t buy these for fashion - they’re functional tools.
