In a career characterized by perseverance and resilience, track and field star Anna Hall overcame injuries and obstacles to represent the United States on the world’s largest stage. In the process, she became the current record holder for the North American indoor pentathlon, as well as one of the highest-scoring heptathlon athletes of all time.
A native of the Colorado suburb of Greenwood Village, just outside of Denver, Hall grew up with four sisters, two of whom played tennis and ran track in college. She started to run track at age 7, competing in the high jump and 1500 m — before eventually playing several sports, including soccer, lacrosse, swimming, and skiing. In part, this was taking after her father, who was a three-sport athlete in college, having played football and basketball as well as competing in the decathlon.

Hall joined the Brand with the 3-Stripes in 2022, the same year she turned pro. With Anna Hall, adidas found a star whose tenacity and resolve for overcoming obstacles paved her path to greatness: While competing in a 100 m hurdles event the summer of 2021, Hall broke a bone in her left foot after colliding with a barrier. It required surgery, leaving her unable to walk until later that year. She also sustained a knee injury in early 2024 that required even more surgery.
However, in both cases, Hall persevered on the path back to recovery, eventually achieving personal bests, shattering collegiate records and claiming titles in pentathlons and heptathlons — including the North American pentathlon record with 5,004 points, putting her in an elite group of female athletes with more than 5,000 points in the event. Anna Hall and adidas found a common ground in several beliefs, including chasing progress and trusting the process.
