It looks like plastic. I chose the medium size because another item I bought the large was huge. This short is tight in the medium size. Adidas should have a sizes pattern. sad. Now I can not return the shorts because it was on sale. I swore that the medium size would be perfect based on the other item I bought.

These are a perfect length if your confident in the usual 3inch short. Perfect to wear under shorts or dress (for netball) covers that area that tubs perfectly, light and breathable, with a high waist
