The Agravic Speed 2 has arguably lost in the shuffle and overshadowed by other options in the increasingly crowded trail running segment. I could not find much online buzz about this model. Most of the popular running shoe review and influencer sites have overlooked this model. But based on a deep level chat with Google Gemini the AI greenlit the Agravic Speed 2 as a viable option for my unique foot shape and biomechanics. One foot of mine has a propensity to supinate and both feet are thin, with low instep and arches. The AI's analysis of this shoe was spot on.
The fit is perfect. My feet are not steered into supination. The foot bed accommodates low arches. It's super comfortable. There's a mild forefoot rocker and a heel bevel but the geometry leans traditional. It's about 0.95oz lighter than my current trail shoe. The 3/4mm lugs are exactly what I was after. This lower lug depth and the closed in spacing of the lugs yield a very smooth and comfortable transition when I have run on pavement. The lugs provide very good traction on packed dirt and rocky terrain but I only run on flat trails. The serrated laces are a nice touch. The foot hold from the 6-7 lace eyelit system is decent. The tongue has a reflective element for low light safety, which was an unexpected feature.
The heel cup is a just a tad too wide but my feet are lower volume than most people. With mid weight socks I don't experience any heel slip. I also wore light weight socks on one run and there was no problem. The only real negative I can think of is debris intrusion. On my first run the sandy trails were very dry and dusty. I noticed that some finse sand was able to filter through the forefoot mesh and deposit inside the shoe. It wasn't a deal breaker. Just something that I'm not accustomed too with my other shoes. But the flip side is that the breathability is excellent for a trail shoe. When I went for run a day after a heavy downpour the trails were less dusty and no sand got inside the shoe. So this issue weather dependent.
To sum things up, this is the best trail shoe that I have ever run in.

Who needs carbon anyway?

One of the best shoes I’ve worn in quite some time. I’ve used it racing trail distance from 10km to 42km and it’s performed well in both. It’s incredibly light weight, and the rocker propels you along very well. Slightly less cushioned under foot than a lot of the shoes out there, it doesn’t need it. It’s fast, light and agile. Bear in mind the upper, it’s quite fragile, I put a pretty big tear through it, having only put around 200km on the shoe, just from kicking a stick. Otherwise an epic shoe and will definitely buy it again, over any sort of plated racing trail shoe.

Just more stable than the older model.
The upper is much more flexible and secure than the older model. Overall the shoe is more stable!
