Goodbye Summer. A celebration of Home of Classics

Follow along all summer. Details below.

Welcome to Goodbye Summer. A project from the community, for the community.

adidas, Finally Offline and Gusto35 are happy to introduce Goodbye Summer, a community film initiative designed to bring local creatives together through a shared passion for exploring their surroundings, documenting authentic experiences, and elevating their talents with individuality at the forefront. Lead by local creators which we will be showcasing on this page throughout the summer.

To further illustrate how summer brings out the best in those with a natural drive to collaborate, Goodbye Summer provided rolls of film from 6/28 to 7/7 at our 5th Avenue and Spring Street Store locations to the ever-evolving creative communities of New York City. To celebrate our #HomeofClassics collection embodying the spirit of being not cherished but worn, Goodbye Summer embodies a parallel purpose, encouraging participants to get their shoes dirty while practicing their craft and leaving their mark on the future.

If you weren’t able to get a film, you can still participate in the project by taking photos on your phone or other device of choice and digitally upload them to Instagram between June 28th, 2019 and midnight on August 9th 2019. You must include the following hashtags in the copy of your post- #HOMEOFCLASSICS, #GOODBYESUMMER, #YESADIDAS* and tag @adidasNYC.

After creating classic memories and capturing moments that best represent the vibrant energy of summer, participants who received a film will be guided to return their completed rolls of film to the 5th Avenue and Spring Street adidas stores until 8/9. They will then be sent to Gusto35 for processing and development.

In celebration of the spirited self-expression and limitless inspiration the summer cultivates, Goodbye Summer will culminate at the end of the beloved season in a community art event showcasing photography that encompasses all the tones of summer and serves as collective fuel for the benevolent year ahead. Details to come.
