NMD Sizing: A Guide to Finding the Right Fit
Turn your shoe style up. Study our NMD size guide to find your perfect fit.
The NMD popped up on the sneaker scene in 2015 and quickly caught the attention of sneaker lovers and enthusiasts. The NMD harmoniously pairs high-tech Primeknit uppers and Boost technologies with aesthetically appealing vintage adidas design cues making it a classic shoe for the city-dweller who likes to walk the extra mile.
While all NMD models fit true to size, check out our NMD size chart below to gain a better understanding on how the different materials and designs of the NMD can make the shoe feel tighter or roomier.
How Is The NMD Supposed To Fit?
Like a dream. The Primeknit uppers gift wearers with support, flexibility, and stability, while the Boost midsole offers nothing but endless amounts of comfort and energy return. No matter what iteration of the NMD you are called to, all NMDs run true to size.
What Size NMDs Do I Need?
NMDs run true to size. If you don’t know your shoe size, read our guide on how to measure your foot. Your measured size should fit comfortably in NMDs.
The Guide: NMD Sizing
NMD_R1

The OG in the NMD universe, the NMD_R1 is the foundation that all other NMD renditions have been built upon.
The Feel: A shoe that blends high-performance running technology with a lifestyle visual aesthetic, the NMD_R1’s soft mesh upper and Boost midsole will give you the best of both worlds—comfort and style. Not to mention the EVA plugs give the shoes that classic NMD look.
The Fit: The NMD_R1 fits true to size.
NMD_R1 Primeblue

A shoe for the metropolitans whose feet are their main mode of transportation, the NMD_R1 Primeblue is a progressive sneaker rooted in running and finished with sustainability.
The Feel: A shoe that adjusts to the shape of your foot perfectly, the NMD_R1 Primeblue has a sock-like feel and fit. The Boost midsole and Primeknit upper offer support and comfort. This shoe is made in part with Primeblue yarn, a high-performance recycled material made in part with Parley Ocean Plastic. adidas collects plastic from beaches and coastal communities before it reaches the water and uses it to create products to help end plastic waste.
The Fit: True to size. The Primeblue’s upper has a more flexible feel in comparison to the NMD_R1, but we recommend sticking to your usual size since the Primeblue adapts to your foot.
NMD_R1 V2

The second generation of the NMD_R1, the NMD_R1 V2 is made for those who want to make a fashion statement while walking around the city or to the snack table at a party.
The Feel: The next iteration of the iconic NMD R1, this shoe is dedicated to keeping your feet cushioned with a responsive Boost midsole. The NMD_R1 V2 was created with a slingback pull tab and heel counter for added stability and support with each step you take. The flexible knit upper will allow you to move with care and confidence and the trendy transparent overlays add a cutting-edge vibe to the shoe.
The Fit: True to size. This silhouette feels slightly more snug due to the overlays in the upper, but it won’t affect your normal sizing choice.
NMD_R1 V3

This shoe gives futuristic fun but with that adidas flare, the NMD_R1 V3 was made for those who love the futuristic aesthetic and elevated levels of comfort.
The Feel: Created with a Boost midsole for added cushioning and comfort, rubber outsoles for extreme grip, and an upper that combines fashion and sustainability, the NMD_R1 V3 makes you eager to start your day and hit the pavement.
The Fit: The NMD_ R1 V3 fits true to size. The upper is stretchy and fits snug for support, but this won’t affect your normal sizing choice.
