Spring At Coachella: The Bad Bunny adidas Campus Experience

At this year’s Coachella, adidas and Bad Bunny transformed the desert into spring to celebrate the release of the adidas x Bad Bunny Campus Wild Moss.

The immersive pop-up experience was brought to life with a stunning floor-to-ceiling floral installation, constructed with 50,000 flowers and 60 different varieties, including imported Spanish moss and 70-year-old Japanese Bonsai trees.

The space’s moss-covered walls and ceiling created the backdrop for a chandelier of exotic flowers, all inspired by the look and feel of Bad Bunny’s latest take on the iconic adidas Campus. Crafted from living flowers, adidas Originals’ and Bad Bunny’s respective logos were prominently featured on the walls of the Coachella pop-up. The installation was made possible by a vertical trellis system to house the living plants, which were watered via a built-in irrigation system.

Meanwhile, fans of Bad Bunny flocked to the activation for their chance to secure a pair of his latest adidas Campus collaboration to express their own unique festival style.

A staple of ‘80s basketball, the adidas Campus is a shoe that has lived many lives. Starting as a performance model for the hardwood, the Campus’ simplistic design was later adopted by skateboarders and hip-hop fans. In Japan, the Campus became a status symbol amongst collectors and lovers of vintage apparel who had a particular fondness for the shoe’s “Collegiate Burgundy” and “Collegiate Navy” colorways.

Now, Bad Bunny is interpreting the Campus through his own unique lens, as the artist leaves his unmistakable imprint on the classic low-top.

For those that missed this year’s one-of-a-kind experience, stay tuned to adidas CONFIRMED for all the latest from Bad Bunny and adidas Originals.
