The cleat is built to be light as possible and created for a profit margin. I've always been an Adidas cleat guy but they broke not even a month after buying. The stud plate started to peel away after the first use but the stud just broke clean off before the cleat plate had a chance to rip off. The 5 Star 4.0's were known to have this same problem and clearly it wasn't addressed.
My son plays varsity football and had his first game the other night and had a phenominal game at middle line backer. After the game I told him he was on fire tonight! He said it was because of his new Adidas cleats because they felt so light on his feet. He also said "I was ballin' tonight Dad". Thanks Adidas for making a great set cleats.
I purchased these cleats for my son and not only does he stand out on the field, he says that he can the support which enables him to go faster, do better lateral moves and be a better more dominant player.
The first couple times out these babies have really performed. besides a little blood on the achilles (what cleats dont need to be broken in?) these things are great. great action into the ground and great transfer. My last cleat was the Adizero first generation, and they lasted me 4.5 years. here's to hoping these take after their great-great-great-great ancestors.
These cleats definitely look good, but I have had them for two months and they are still not broken in. I wear them at least three times a week and do a good bit of running in them but they still will not break in. After about five to ten minutes of running my feet start to ache badly like new cleats will, but these aren't new anymore and they still hurt my feet.
The cleats look great, and become really comfortable after you break them in some, but I've had problems with both pairs of uncaged cleats I had. Both pairs began to have the cleat separate from the shoe after a few summer practices. The shoes look great but I was hoping for some better quality.
Very good traction, extremely light, top of the line cleats, amazing value, a bit uncomfortable, but it pays off because of the way the shoe handles, the color is spot on, the metallic does not wear off, GREAT SHOE, better then C1Ns!
Just got shoes in today. They run pretty small and narrow. I am returning for a half size bigger to see if that helps. Not a fan of the super thin shoe laces either. Really have to focus to tie them. Good thing the shoes look super badass and are decently comfortable and super light
Flashy and has style.. I am a senior in highschool and I play a mix of tight end and slot receiver. Comfortable and light, feels like nothing is on. Yes a little break in time is needed they do hurt your feet for the first day or two. Besides that these cleats are great. and the price range for the quality is unbeatable.
I purchased these originally to train over the summer for football, but they look so good that I couldn't pack them away. I use them for lacrosse and they've been great. I had all black adidas zeros for this past football season and i loved them. I have used my new cleats for 4 games and 3 practices so far, and they just broke in. The first few times I wore them they were really stiff, which is to be expected, but it took a long time compared to other cleats I've had in the past. They are comfortable but I would suggest going half a size larger than you usually are. I've gotten so many compliments on them, and I love how they look. All in all, this is a great product.
I bought these for spring ball and basically everyone was asking where i got them they have a unique look and they seem to be able to take the beating I've been given them the past few months. They'll prolly make it through season. If you usually get cleats a size up for a wider foot box don't do it with these cause then you won't enjoy the great lock the cleat has on your ankle and arches. the traction is great too. They make great practice cleats if you play on grass especially.
These cleats are soo good and i love them. They fit your feet perfectly and you can make amazing cuts if you play a skill position. I had trouble deciding between these and the uncaged but i chose these over those. They should make a gold chrome version with the paradise kevlar.
Speechless. Very comfortable and very recommendable never felt more free running with these cleats. I recommend these if you are a skill positioned player a lot! I appreciate it adidas thank you! Ill make sure to come back and buy more football items!
Great purchase overall like always no doubt. However, I am concerned that when I receive my amazing cleats they will tear on the bottom like it always does, don't know if the problem was fixed but it's worth a shot.
The lightest cleat I've ever used. Fits like a glove. Stay true to size for the best feel. The construction is thinner. May not be long lasting. But has all the features you need in the lightest cleat on the market.
The shoe is really nice. It fits a little bit small. I wear a size 8.5 but I ordered a 9 and it's like a perfect fit. Runs but small. Haven't played in them yet. Biggest problem is the lacing. It's a struggle to lace them. Got rope burn from the laces from the force applied to pulled them. Other then that, great shoe!
So the 5.0 is my favorite cleat so far I have ever. Its fit is perfect for my foot, and fits like a glove. The cushion is by far the best in the 5.0 than any other cleat in the adizero line. With a cushioned sock like the cushioned crew socks, you can survive long periods of time without your foot getting fatigue. Ventilation on the 5.0 is quite good, with the new tongue in the cleat the my feet can really truly breath. The traction is great. With the kevlar for extra strength, and different style studs to aid me in moving in different directions, pushing off, and sharp stoping. The quality and design are also very amazing. The quality of the materials and build of the cleat is amazing, my cleat kept clean and was very easy to wash even playing in mud and rough grass. My cleat also has no damage to the materials, I had no rips, the cleat did not stretch, and the frame and studs had no damage to them. The design was truly spectacular to me. Everything just popped and stood out on the cleat with the metallic hits. Overall I think the Adizero 5.0 gets a 5 out of 5 stars, the fit gets 4.8, the quality and design get a 5, the ventilation gets a 4.5, the traction gets a 5, and the cushion gets a 4.8.
I use these cleats for rugby and they're amazing. They give great support and have your feet on lockdown. Laces are the prefect length. They do not receive any discoloration on turf but stain easily in mud. Super easy to clean. I have the black ones and they are the best looking pair. 10/10 would cop another pair if I needed too.
I bought these cleats at the beginning of my high school football season they fit nice and they are very comfy but my one problem is that they are not durable at all. I play offensive guard and by the middle of my season one of my molded cleats snapped off of the bottom of the cleat so I had to replace the cleats also the stitching in the sides is becoming to rip. I am very disappointed in adidas for these low quality cleats
