Having the right sports bra lets you focus on your performance, so you can compete in comfort. adidas carries sports bras with different levels of support, so you can find the bra that is best suited for your activity. Check out the quick guide below to get an idea of what level of support you need.
What does sports bra support mean?
• Low support sports bras are great for low impact workouts like Pilates, Yoga and general conditioning.
• Medium support sports bras are designed for workouts like circuit training, hiking and spin classes.
• High support sports bras are perfect for high impact sports like running, aerobics and mountain biking.
Another sports bra feature to keep in mind is how the back is cut:
• Racer back sports bras feature a Y shape in the back that provides increased airflow and keeps you cool.
• Criss-cross sports bras can provide extra support and allow for extra adjustment to how the bra fits.
• Strappy sports bras are similar to tank tops and help keep you comfortable during low impact activities.
At adidas.com, every sports bra is designed to support your needs as an athlete. We hope these tips will be useful while buying your next sports bra online with adidas.com.
This is now my new favourite spots bra! I read the reviews and decided to go a size smaller than I would on clothing and it's Def right. The fit is firm which gives an amazing hold, I ran 10miles totally secure and in completely comfort as it has no fasteners. I love it. Lush colour too.
I wear a medium and am a 34d it fits me perfectly and gives me the support I need without giving me a flat chest like the majority of my sports bras. I would agree if you have smaller boobs it's unlikely to be for you. I wiggle it over my hips to get it on which is sooo much easier than over the head . I think a hook and eye system would make it easier to get on and fit more people with slimmer backs.
Great colours. However like other reviewers I found that although the item was tight to put on, once on, I had a 'gap' in the bust area-no matter how much I 'adjusted' things! So unsure if this is a good fit for me or not. Feel that 8-10 and 12-14 sizings are 'in-between' for me.
I bought another! It's a very structured sports bra that lifts and separates while providing good support. I have used it for running and skiing without any issues. For reference, I am 5'6" 150 lbs and typically wear a 32C. A medium fit well without being overly constricting.
I put this one on and instantly fell in love. 1. It looks great. 2. It is supportive. The original supernova was not good for me at all. This one has molded cups and keeps its shape. The only problem is the tag is irritating, but that is an easy fix. I recommend this bra. I can go back to the three stripes crew all day.
As described, this one is highly supportive. It certainly keep your thing in place and allow you to entirely enjoy your workout without adjusting anything. One minus thing is when you put it in, it's quite hard as this is unlike normal bra where you have a hook at the back. In choosing size, pleasemake sure you grt the right size and do go bigger because it is quite tight. It's supposed to be tight. My recommendation for those who have cup C and around 83cm-86cm. Please go for size S.
Size Medium - Fits perfect around under-bust, but cup size is too big ( i am usually a 34b). If I chose smaller size then the cup size would fit but under-bust would be too tight. Adidas have not taken into account that their customers may have a muscular physique therefore need to tailor their clothes to fit. Smaller breasts doesn't necessarily mean smaller under bust, we train, we have back muscles you know.
Finally a great training bra that I can run in too! Being a 36DD, it's hard to find the right support, but this high support bra will keep you going for miles. I ordered size Large - it is the perfect fit, supportive, and cute!
Lifts and separates but doesn't control bounce. Could be better with a hook/eye clasp in the back to control compression. Does cut into front arm a bit as well. For reference I am 5' 7", 195 Ibs, and wear a 36DDD. I usually wear a L or XL in other brands.
I purchased two of these bras in August 2015 and LOVE them, but since then they redesigned the bra. Now the band isn't tight enough, and the breast area doesn't provide enough give, so I feel completely smashed without enough support under the bust.
As a marathon runner, I train 6 days a week so my sports bras have to stand up to a lot of wear. I'm small-chested, so it is hard to find a product that does not chafe underneath my breasts and along the sides. I've worn this bra for about a week of training and am happy to report that is provides both support and comfort without restricting movement. And the best part of all is no chafing! I'll be buying more of this style.
Absoutely love this sports bra! I've tried other brands and found them very uncomfortable and tight around the shoulders, but no such complaints with this one :) I am a UK size 10 and the size small fits me perfectly, the material is soft and not at all irritating, and doesn't feel too hot and heavy either which is great when you're working up a sweat. It offers just the right amount of support for my workouts - I usually do resistance in the gym, yoga, or running - however if you have a bigger chest or do something a bit more bouncy you might want extra support (I'm a 32C usually). I initially bought this bra in the flash orange colour, really gorgeous, and have just bought another one in black. Great value for money as well. Would definitely recommend!
Cannot live without a sports bra, have had few so far this is very good - simple and comfortable does the job. have had others with twisted straps, all sorts of other bells and whistles but this one I like the most!!!
Really great bra! works as a high support for smaller-built girls too. fits perfectly - tight but not constricting. Keeps you dry through solid workouts thanks to climacool. Comfy and flattering. washes and dries well, doesn't lose its shape or elasticity. The only way to improve would be to add in some slight padding, but it's not a biggie. Recommend :)
The support is better than I expected. It's a bit tight, though. Color-wise, I picked orange and it's brighter than on-screen. It's nice, though if you like orange, especially if you have olive or darker skin like me.
Nice looking sports bra. Got the orange in an XS and the colour is really nice and bright. The fit is a little loose for me not tight enough and not enough compression so it's a bra I only wear for light exercise but it's still a great bra that I'd definitely buy again
Really love the colour, it's much more vivid & prettier then the image shown for this bra on Adidas website. It's a great bra but not really for high intensity workouts/exercise as it doesn't have enough support & compression which is a shame as it's a nice bra. I found it not tight enough in the shoulders & also around the body so that's why it's not suitable for high intensity workouts but other then that it's a great bra for every day wear or low impact activities.
The write up implies that you could wear this for running, but I wouldn't be comfortable doing that (at least not without a proper sports bra or compression top over top). Great for cycling though and dries super quickly! Looks great, really comfortable.
Bought to go under a running vest. Usually I wear crop tops rather than sports bras, but this one offered no real support. Ended up having to wear another top underneath this one for running. On the plus side the orange is a nice shade and the material is lovely. Expect to wear a sports bra or another top underneath if doing any high impact exercising.
I tried this on in a store and the medium fit me perfectly, but I needed white and they didn't have it in my size, so I ordered it on line. The fit is acceptable, but a little tight, it cuts into my shoulders a bit.
I usually wear a 34 B and got a medium, a perfect fit. I don't like padding in my sports bras and tend to go for compression, so this is great if you're like me. Even on the hottest florida days or longest runs, this keeps me cool.
I've only given this product 2 stars because the moisture wicking feature isn't really benefiting the bra and here's why: The interior of the cups are lined with a mesh, then a pad, and then the third and final layer is your moisture wicking material. I've read that this mesh is "breathable." If that's what you're after - great! My goal with the purchase was not to aerate but instead, to take the sweat away from my body. The "gap" between the two cups is also made of the mesh. Again, this did not take the sweat away from that area. The racerback portion of the bra (the back) is also made of mesh. The sweat hung around there as we'll. Lastly, the area that did have moisture wicking material with skin contact was the band at the bottom. For the front, I initially thought this would be a nice place to remove sweat from. But then I realized that the first layer (closest to my body) was the moisture wicking fabric, the second the elastic band, and the third another layer of moisture wicking fabric. The effect was that the first layer absorbed sweat, but the fabric was unable to evaporate the sweat because the elastic band was trapping the moisture in there. That being said, the bra was very comfortable and kept everything in it's place. No chafing. Although counterproductive to moisture wicking, I appreciated the pads while cooling off after my workout so that the gym wasn't privy to my headlights. If you want a comfortable bra, you've found it! If you want one to help keep moisture away from that area, I highly recommend going to a sports shop and looking at the construction of a bra before looking for it online. Lesson learned.
Great material, very comfortable and provides sufficient support. I am a size 32C and ordered both Small and Medium and Medium was way too big but Small was perfect. I think this bra would not suit anyone with larger cup size than C as it would not provide enough support. I will definitely be ordering more colours.
This bra is very comfortable to move in. It fits a tiny bit loose and, for me, that makes for a more comfortable workout (I am mostly running and doing yoga). The cut for the arms is a bit wider than some so i am not getting the tightness or chafing that sometimes happens there for me. It's a great bra and I'm glad I purchased it!
I bought a Large, I am 34C it gave me great support, I could jump in it and the support felt as strong as my maximum support. Only thing is I wear a 1X or 2X in tops so it was a little tight to pass my hands and get in it but once I did it was great.
