I first ordered a size 9 to replace a pair that were worn out. The shoe is tighter and narrower. I returned it for a 9.5 and it's better. Very comfortable, but not perfect. Let's see how they wear. I mostly use them to referee or coach. The only bummer is I lost my big friends discount during the return.
The cleats are absolutely wonderful. The upper is soft, and the three stripes on the sides hug your feet nice and tight. One of the things I loved was the studs, they allow me to change direction in any way with a lot of confidence. The collar is also at a very good height. The NSG is also a plus, as the little-raised dots give a great sensation. My only complain is that the yellow shoes get dirty on turf quickly, which I should have avoided by buying a different colour. Overall, you cannot find a boot of this caliber for this price anywhere else.
This product is one of the best i have form Adidas, i am a big Adidas fan and i have always approved of their shoes but the one disappointing part of the 16.2 is the laces, the first time i used it the laces just ripped of out of now where. it was very surprising because i have not had that issue with Adidas before, i am hoping its a glitch.
I love the touch on the ball with these boots. I will say they are a little tight on the top of the foot, but I'm sure it will loosen up over time. It actually means I don't have to tie my shoes as tightly as possible for once which is nice. The boots are very comfortable and are worth every penny.
Boots are great really like the primknit but the sizing is a litte large, and since the primeknit collar does not go all way up your ankle, I had some heel slippage which causes some pretty bad blisters on my heel. Also the break in period in general is pretty rough, as there were a couple spots on the toe that pinched and caused some blisters.
I like this product because it's comfortable, I tried it at an indoor soccer game wood floor and it was perfect I haven't tried it yet on a synthetic grass but I think it'll be the same. If not I'll be back here to edit my review. I recommend it
These cleats look great they just need better support. They have super thin uncomfortable inserts. These cleats are super expensive and to have to go spend an additional $30 or more on some decent inserts isn't ideal.
i recommend going a full size down for a tight feel. the laces are really long but i got shorter ones no big deal. you get a great touch on the ball and can rip shots. after broken in their really comfortable. they seem to be a little heavy on your feet at first but thats because of the great quality leather. you get used to the weight though and don't mind after a while. overall great boot. i will never buy a different cleat.
First of all these cleats are so dope (looks). Second they have a quality upper. The only drawbacks are the sizing and lockdown.. I personally tie my shoes and cleats pretty tight but the lace bite at the top is quite sharp and even with said tightness there was some lack of lock down. I felt when I was sprinting that there was some space between my door arch and the sole plate which just scares me when I putold these to serious use.
I love these. Ever since I started soccer I've been buying adidas cleats because I can always rely on them. And this time they've outdone themselves. I'm a striker and these cleats make it so easy to manuever around defenders and such. They're very lightweight, and very easy to put on. Very comfortable too. The quality is just perfect, you know theyre not gonna rip. I would definitely recommend these to my friends
Excellent shoes for hard, dry outdoor surfaces ... Better than cleats because the gripping sole is more uniform across the foot. Absolutely "no break in" shoe ... I haven't had them long enough to see how the quality holds up.
I never have played soccer, nor will I probably, but these shoes are very comfortable as they are light and fit very well to the foot. they also can take a serious beating be it running, hiking, getting dunked in water, tennis, and just about anything else you care to test them at. My last pair was about 2 years old, and the main reason I got new ones was because I had finally managed to wear down the back of the sole to the point at which the while base under it was showing. Support wise these shoes are pretty decent, however, I would imagine older people or simply those with flat feet might want to look into custom inserts, as these are certianly not running shoes. over the last 6 years I have owned about 5 pairs of these shoes, first the classic ones and the last two have been the millennium ones. All of them held up far longer than most shoes. the leather might look bad after a year and a half of rough use, but the shoes remain solid and I find after about a year or so they really start to mould to ones feet and get even more comfortable. I think another great aspect is the fact that these shoes are not flashy, yet they do not look like plain black shoes. on a side tangent, I wish this box to write reviews in were larger, all this scrolling is a pain. *ignore the what is my soccer level thing, as mentioned I do not play soccer.
Excellent shoe design. A little more substantial than the Classic design. Appearance is over done with too many logos, ice., the toe logo and the gold color addition give it a tacky look. Give it the Classic motif.... it looks more professional.
I really liked them for the 10 days I had them. Easily my favorite boot ive worn and first pair I have bought. Sadly only had them for 10 days until they were stolen from my house and now waiting until my size is in to possibly order again but with a college budget we will see. Loved them.
They are so amazingly comfortable. The only thing is that they hold a bit of moisture in them, so put some newspaper inside when you are done playing so they don't stink. Other than that possible one of the best boots I've ever purchased.
Durability - After only two 2-hour practice sessions and one 90-minute game, separation from the soleplate and toe-box is already occurring. $200 is a steep price to pay for something that doesn't last. Comfort - The toe box area was too narrow and my feet started hurting after about 60 minutes.
Too bad there are not six stars on the rating. These cannot be beat. It's the only pair my son wears. He is a kicker in football and these last for two seasons easy. He has a wider foot than most and these fit perfect. There is a reason they have continued to be manufactured for 30-40 years.
My son said they are very comfortable. He usually buys a half size larger as his feet are wise but this shoe he was able to get his true size. We were told they do not stretch much so we are waiting to see. He has only played 1 game in them so far but it is the first time he has ever said, " I like my new cleats mom. " so that means a lot.
They may have been my favorite pair of cleats i have ever worn. I loved the fit and speed and fell of the cleat. They are stylish and have very good ball control. The problem is I have had them for about 4-6 months and I recently noticed that my $200 pair of cleats are ripping. The whole front of the right boot is tearing and is now unplayable in. Now I have to buy a whole new pair and it will not be this one due to the bad quality. If they had held up they would have been my best boots ever. I always thought of adidas products to be good quality. Too Bad.
Shoes look and feel amazing. Only problem is they were an entire size too big. I got the size I normally wear and there was almost an entire half-inch of space between my toe and the front of the shoe. Order a half size smaller and these are perfect.
After wearing the cleats for 4 hours the toe of the left cleat melted. I have only ever bought adidas cleats and am extremely disappointed. This is unacceptable being that I paid a good amount for them only for them to be ruined a few hours after I got them.
I was looking for something classic and different, and I found it. The shoe does run big, so do as adidas recommend. After a couple plays the shoe widen. I had to go a size down just because it will widen and I have narrow feet.
Everything was good, it looks amazing but when I tried them on feet it was something else. Something bad, they are too uncomfortable, I did not keep the receipt because everything I buy from adidas is great,so I can't get my money back due to this. The shoe might be comfortable, and maybe I got a defaulted product.
This is truly worth the money because you are getting the most comfortable soccer cleats ever built in history. It is still made in Germany so quality is guaranteed. The cleats has an archaic sizing scale so you should go down 1 full US size to get the right fitting length. This is one of few soccer cleats that you don't need to worry about the width once you got the length right. The high quality kangaroo leather will stretch to fit your foot. They are a bit heavy based on modern day standard mainly because it is made in 100% kangaroo leather. Its durability edges most of the cleats in the market.
Always spend a little extra on your feet, your body will thank you for it. The sprint frame is fantastic; my feet and ankles feel secure moving about the field. I have solid grip on every field I've played on this far. One wear and they were broken-in. Hands down, the best boots I've played rugby in. I play flanker or #8, which require tons of movement and defensive play.
