im a lover of the adidas boost technology, this is my 3rd pair & they haven't disappointed. I run most days & wear these trainers to do so, I can't wear them for fitness classes that I teach as not enough support for movement in different directions but there made for running so that's what they're best suited for. The only down side is possibly the "sock" style, I don't find that this suits & fits every foot properly. The look & design is fabulous, I ordered the black ones & they look amazing.
I work in the fitness industry and have always struggled to find a sports bra that does what it's supposed to. My chest is sort of heavy for my fit/thin frame, and nothing keeps the ladies in place (without the dreaded uniboob look). This bra comes *close* to being my favorite, thus far. I am 5'8" 130 lbs. I typically wear a 32C and that is what I bought. It runs true to size, I would say. Perhaps ever-so-slighty "small" if you don't like your bras to be compression-like tight, as I do, especially for running. But If you have a toned back, you should be fine with your normal size. If you're weary of bra bulge/back fat... or if your back is not your favorite feature, maybe size up on the band. As someone recommended to me long ago, ALWAYS BUY YOUR BRAS SO THEY FIT TIGHTLY ON THE LAST (3rd) SET OF HOOKS. Elastic is known to stretch out over time, therefore... when the bra *especially a sports bra* begins to "break-in" and stretch out with wear, movement, washing, drying, abrasion, and well... generally bending and breathing.. it will continue to fit as it should, even if this means you need to move to the 2nd or 1st hooks to keep it fitting snug to your ribcage. But... to each their own. Anyway, this bra fits that way which is AWESOME! If you're buying your bras how you should be and wearing the "right" size to begin with (as many women do not) it will be tight at first... but wear it around and it will conform to your body with time, I promise. In the long (distance) run, it's worth it! My only complaint is that I would prefer the front to not have a princess seam (like the same style but in the D/DD sizes, for example) This would allow the bra to be more versatile and lay better (flatter) under tight fitness apparel. Also it would give your bust a slightly more "rounded" look. But all and all, I can't complain. I may try to order the a 32 or 34 in the D cup style and see if this fits me as well... sometimes I can go either way (32/34/C/D) and each size gives me a different "look". The D cup style appears to offer a little more fabric and coverage, and would be better for layering vs. wearing alone. This 32 C gives me some cleavage, which I personally like. The padding is minimal, more like a lining cup, actually, which is nice... because I have piercings that elicit attention sometimes.. which I don't always like to advertise to the lovely people on the streets of NY. This nicely keeps things, covered and concealed without adding bulk to my bust. Another nice feature is the glue-dot like grips on the inside of the elastic band (the part that touches your skin). I'm not sure they really "do anything" so to speak... but I'm hoping once I start sweating they will reduce chafing and keep the bra in place. Hope this helps.
Really great product, amazing quality, fabric is light and breathable but not see through at all, very durable feeling product, small extras add to the value and quality feel such as ankle zips, and small pocket on the waist band, not to mention hey're both fashionable and practical. I would definitely recommend!
I am so happy with this latest generation! I have several pairs of Adidas Boosts but my favorite has always been the first generation until these came out (The Energy Boosts 2 never felt as cushiony or comfortable to me). I had to splurge on the pre-launch and I'm so glad I did! I couldn't imagine this shoe getting any better from the first generation but the Supers have blown them out of the water as far as cushion and comfort goes - for me anyway. Thank you Adidas! I'm sure I will be buying more once they are on the market again.
These shoes are absolutely fantastic and better than anything I have worn previously. I was slightly worried about the size and as has been previously stated they are slightly (and only very slightly) narrow. The thing is that it doesn't really matter because of the flexibility of the top part of the shoe. It's like wearing a really flexible sock and it moulds to the shape of your foot. I trialled them on a 7 mile run and the cherry on an already delicious cake is the sole. They are springy and bouncy and they provide strength on the hills and comfort on the flats. I cannot recommend them enough!
This is my 4th pair of boost sneakers. I have worn out 2 pairs of Energy Boosts( 1 and 2) and have one in my closet, still in the box. I bought the Ultras when they were offered at introduction a couple of weeks ago. I have worn them to work out in and run in at the gym. The extra "boost" is nice, but the overall shoe is somewhat larger than the Energy Boost 1 and 2. I like the original fit better. Glad I have an new pair of the "old" design in my closet! I hope Adidas brings back the Boost 2's in more colors and sizes.
I tried these out in a test run . I normally wear a size 8.5 in the adios boost. So I picked out and 8.5. They were EXTREMELY comfy when I first put them on. The beginning of the run was good but the shoes felt loose in the front. Halfway through the run my mid foot started to hurt. I think maybe it's just adjusting to the shoe though because it didn't hurt afterwards. When I got back to the store I tried on size 8 thinking they might fit nicer but they were sooooo narrow that it hurt just standing there. I love the shoe but don't think it fits quite right. If there was a size 8 1/4 it would be perfect! Maybe I'll try men's sizes to get some width.
These shoes are more than great!! I am a true size 8, so first I ordered 8,5 as I thought it might run big. But I was wrong, these shoes run true to size. Adidas is awesome with their return policy. I tried wearing pure boost to work for my 8 hour shift and my feet didn't hurt for the first time. Every step is like walking on the cloud - soft and nice. Some reviewer stated that these shoes look and made cheap, I do not agree, they look nice for me and anyways it doesn't matter since they provide comfort.
This top is very light and slightly see through material. I felt that this should be put in product description! Nice fit for me in medium size. The material is comfortable- light and very stretchy, but does snag very easily.
I love the feel of the upper, so soft and comfortable like a slipper. The cushioning is great as well. I definitely feel more than the Energy Boost. My only disappointment ( as mentioned by others) is that the sole shows wear early. I have about 30 miles on mine and already some of the nubs have worn down. For a running shoe in this price range I would not have expected this. The cushioning many last 100s of miles but I doubt the sole will.
I wear a 34D or 32DD in other bras...imagine my surprise when after trying on multiple sizes I found the best fit in this bra to be a 36B! In addition to being supportive this bra is very good looking. In fact, I've started wearing it in the pool for swimming lessons with my kids. There is no cleavage/spillage/risk of showing too much - yet, I still look supported and sporty. I also wear this bra when exercising...I am a personal trainer and fitness instructor. My workouts are intense and high impact...this bra can withstand it all. PLEASE make it in more colors!!
As a 34DD I can tell you it's very difficult to find a bra in my size that keeps everything in place, especially while running. I must've bought $100 worth of sports bras that don't even fit me properly in the past few months alone, just trying to find one that works, but I happened to buy this while it was on sale. I ended up buying 3 more the day after. For my fellow large-breasted ladies, this is the bra for you.
I run about 30 km a week, because I feel like I have to, not because I really really love it. These shoes have made my running sooo much easier. They are super light weight and petite, but they provide amazing boost and cushioning anyways. They do have a dropped heel (the heel is lower than the front) which took some getting used to, but I feel it has given me better running technique and stronger calfs as I now tend to land on the front portion of my foot and not necessarily straight on the heel.
I have been a fan of Boost since the very first pairs were launched. I heard about them on Marathon Talk podcast and Haile was promoting them. I have since purchased in excess of 10 pairs and have converted 5 people to wearing them. The Ultra Boost are the best yet! They combine the best features of the first Boost and upped their game. The wider toe box and light weight upper plus the extra Boosting is th reason I'll be wearing these at Boston.
I am a believer! I've been running on the regular Glide Boosts for about a year now, but decided to train for a marathon (in Chicago!) this winter, so I knew I needed something that would keep me warm during the cold weather. I came across these and knew I had to have them. I wore these today on a 4 mile run through 2-4 inches of untouched snow, air temp 10 degrees, windchill below 0, and they kept my feet completely dry and toasty warm. I wore them with a pair of thin wool socks and they were perfect. I heartily recommend these to anyone crazy enough to brave the elements and run in the cold midwestern (or anywhere) winters!
