I always put comfort first when considering to buy shoes. I have bunions so it's always hard to find light and pretty comfy shoes. Finally, I found a pair of shoes that is lightweight and doesn't look like I am wearing Mcdonald's shoes. These trainer shoes are good value for money too. Thanks for the free shipping so there's no need to worry when you purchased a wrong size.
I'm 5'9" tall, 185 lbs, medium build, and I wear size 10.5 for normal shoes, so I decided to buy 10.5 in these Adipowers. Weightlifting shoes are not meant to provide the cushioning and comfort at the level of flip-flops, Nike Roshes, and whatever other shoes are out there today. These are weightlifting shoes. These fit snug around all sides of my feet, which is better than having a weightlifting shoe that is not snug or leaves too much room. I have slightly wide feet, so sometimes I require the wider version of some shoes if they are available. In terms of width, the 10.5 sized Adipowers fit me just right. Had I gone up a size, to 11, it would definitely be more comfortable, but I would have been left with too much room on all sides to spare, which would not be beneficial for stability and safety reasons. However, tightening the straps and laces excessively sometimes causes me some discomfort during lengthy workouts. This may be because I have to wear in the shoe some more since I've only had them for a month. Then again, tightening any shoe too much cuts of circulation to the foot. Anyway, lengthwise, these Adipowers leave me with about an inch of space in the toe box, which is optimal for the splaying of the feet during movement. Quality-wise, I think the quality of these weightlifting shoes are worth the price you pay for them. They will last years if you don't abuse them, but I've known many friends that have the old red ones and the Adistars, and they've held up nicely over the years. Overall, I would highly recommend this product!
Nice Shoes. In the beginning I wasn't sure on the sizing. I tried on a pair of Adidas running shoes and ordered off of that. First putting them on it was tight and I did not think they were the right size. After lacing them up and strapping in they felt great. They were comfortable and fit perfct. Lifting: Awesome. During squats I felt like my feet were in conrete and stable. Helped me squat a little deeper, it felt comfortable and stable. Would highly recomend.
So comfortable! It feels like I'm walking on a cloud! Very lightweight shoe. Its a great shoe for daily use but not really great for running. That being said, I have problems with over-pronation and need a lot of arch support in my shoes when I'm running and this shoe just wasn't enough for me when it came to higher intensity exercise. The shoes also run a little small, I would recommend ordering a 1/2 size bigger. I ordered a whole size bigger after reading the reviews and wish I would have just went a 1/2 size up.
I have incorporated squats into my leg workout every week but my technique has always suffered. After having reviewed a tutorial on Youtube, I took the plunge and bought the proper footwear for doing squats and the proper waist belt. I haven't looked back. The proper equipment helps to attain the proper technique. These shoes are a necessity to all who aspire to get the best out of their squat.
After reading the reviews, I got a half a size bigger than my original size but had to to return it because it was too big. I returned it and got my original size. Returns are easy and got refunded in a timely manner.
I've only had a few work outs in them but so far they are fitting and working great. No issues with manufacture can be found, no loose threads or mis-aligned parts. I wear a US 11D and these fit me very well. As you expect, these are Very Supportive from heal to ball of foot but do allow comfortable flex at the ball of the foot for OLY lifting.
I have read it runs narrow, and did notice this a bit in the toe box, but not for long. Once I wore it around and tightened the strap around the back of the foot, it no longer felt tight, but rather secure. I use it primarily for squats and overhead press, and it's fantastic. I can walk around the gym fairly comfortably, it's stable and non-compressible, without being too heavy. I haven't tried the Romaleos, but am very satisfied with this shoe.
I love these shoes and the service was great, however, I ordered them in my normal size - 5.5, and they were far too small for me. I then sent them back and ordered half a size bigger and they are still too small. I couldn't face the hassle of returning them for the second time and my feet just about fit into them, so I wear them and they are comfy, however my toes are still touching the end.
After having worn these for about a year I cannot imagine anything else being better. At the very least the bar has been set pretty high. The stability with these shoes when catching weight is second to none.
I was so excited to receive these trainers as the reviews are so good on them. Once I got them, however, after a day of wearing them aroud the house I got blisters on my heels. I have never got blisters from running trainers before, especially soft comfy ones like these! Overall they are cool but didn't work out for me
My husband really likes these shoes. He was weightlifting with his crossfit sneakers and he says that they make a big, big difference. He definitely recommends them and says that he would buy another pair in a different color
These are perfect flip flops. I purchased a pair for my mom & two pair for myself as I'm hard on my flip flops & they usually don't make it through to the next summer. These have practically been stapled to my feet since their arrival & believe everyone could benefit from a pair.
Lovely style and very comfortable but sizing is totally wrong. I always take a UK 4 or sometimes a 3 and never take a larger size. These thongs are tiny and my foot hangs an inch off the back. Very disappointing after having paid for postage. Will have to return for another size.
First pair of lifting shoes. Fit true to size. Very comfortable. Sturdy in heel especially noticeable when squatting, also in military/push press yet enough flex to walk around gym without issue. No real grounds for comparison but very happy overall with shoe.
Just received these and I'm glad I ordered my regular size and didn't size up. I am a true 6.5 and the 6.5 fit perfectly, if even a bit roomy in the toe. I have a narrow foot so maybe that's why. But the length is perfect - a size 7 would have been too long. Super comfy. Love them.
I haven't bought Adidas in a long time and saw these featured in one of my fitness magazines, so thought I'd give it a try. I purchased a 10 and 10 1/2. I couldn't even get the 10 on my foot so I'm glad the 10 1/2 fit. It's a bit snug but not too snug. I fear that the 11 would be a little to big and cause blisters...I've made that mistake with a sneaker before and it's not pretty. These shoes look fantastic and have and great side-to-side support for training, box jumps and dancing
Overall, the heel adds a great benefit. Pro: - good style -big heal - solid sole and nice strap Con: - laces don't pull tight enough - I have wide feet, went a half size up. Still not wide enough -gel layer on tongue tore within first week; not sure what the purpose of that layer even is
I just got a pair of these for my birthday and LOVE them. They are so comfortable and feel like you are walking on a cloud. The only thing is that while looking at which pair I wanted I saw reviews saying to get half a size bigger so listening to everyone else I did that and they are half a size too big! But with free returns it's no problem!!
Judging the size of these shoes before lifting in them will only make you paranoid you bought a small shoe. At home I thought I should have gotten a .5 to 1 size larger. However, in the gym and lifting they were extremely secure and confident. Very happy with them.
If you're at all serious about your squatting, these shoes are what you need. Feels amazing, allows for a very smooth movement. Only issue I had is that they're slightly more narrow than they appear in the photos. I expect them to expand a little with time, as with most shoes. If you're on the fence with these, you can feel comfortable taking the plunge.
my buddy has had these shoes for awhile now and recommended them for squating. As someone with low ankle mobility this really helped me get low in my squat while still maintaining control. I bought it for like 93$ with tax so you can't really get a better deal then that.
It's my first pair of lifting shoes. Always lifted with Chuck or barefoot. I am a recreational lifter, performing Starting strength style training in my home gym. Very impressed of the difference these shoes make in stability and support. I first thought these shoes will be overkill for my usage but pull the trigger on the purchase when they got on sale. I should have bought these shoes a while ago! I ordered the same size as my running shoes as other reviews said they were narrow. This size is perfect for me... no real confort but it was expected for these type of shoes and their purpose. These are weight-lifting shoes only. Don't assume you can perform other activities with them. Even walking take a while to get used to them.
Best gym trainers I've ever brought! I usually stick to Nike trainers but saw these and thought why not! I'm so glad! I'm now addicted to them and want another pair already! They're so comfy and I've had so many compliments on them! People keep saying how great they look! They have a great support and I feel like I have great control of my movements in them! Great trainers and worth the price!
Bought these shoes as my first weightlifting shoe. Thought I had made a good pick considering they felt great when I trained. Problem is literally one month after I started wearing them, the plastic part in the heel of one of the shoes got a crack in it. Overall, had potential to be a great weightlifting shoe, but apparently the quality just isn't there. Disappointed.
