This shoe is interesting. It looks great in pictures but in reality, the material on the toe box - that reverse-studded neoprene - looks cheap in person. This shoe's sole is very comfortable BUT it is a bit narrow for a size 9 (what I normally wear). It also has terrible breathability. Upon closer inspection, some of the the dimples on the polyester are actual perforations but the majority are not. This shoe becomes an oven very quickly. The material on the back of the shoe (the white) is very nice. Overall, shoe is disappointing since it looks and feels worse than what I'd expect from adidas.
Let me begin by saying I love these shoes. I've had them for a week and have used them every day for high bar squats. I have poor ankle mobility due to an old fractured tibia that still has a plate and screws in place, yet the heel lift in the AdiPowers help me keep an upright posture which in turn has eliminated my low back pain. I have gone from a wide hip dominant low bar squat to a narrower stance high bar squat that is more quad dominant. I'm not big on style but they look and fit great! The Velcro strap sets very secure and the tongue doesn't slide down the inside. I wear only for squats so I can't say if they help or are comfortable for other lifts.
AQ4596 (Grey/Multi) looks more navy irl than what's pictured here on the website. The silver toned mesh and iridescent details make these pure Boost X trainers mermaid-esque. My toes get caught on the front seam if I'm not wearing socks.. So I wear socks and that seems to solve the problem, although as a result I am noticing I am beginning to form a habit of actively planting my toes with each step and squat which is important.
Narrow fit but comfortable stride. I usually wear a 9.5 US in Adidas Originals but my Ultra boost were a bit too big in 9.5 so I chose 9 in these but they were pretty tight and my toe was too close for comfort to the tip of shoe. I have returned them for a 9.5 and fit is much better. They synthetic materials look cool juxtaposed together. I am going to do some HIT workouts and see how they stand up.
I had to use men's sizing because I am a large women's size that most don't carry (12). I ordered a 10.5 and an 11. I went with the smaller size, they are a little big but the 10s would have been too small. Quality is excellent. I use these for squats only and they are perfect, my feet don't budge when I squat. Best purchase ever.
By far my most FAVORITE shoes to train in. So comfortable but just the right amount of structure and support. Best weight training shoes that I own. I would recommend this shoe to everyone! This shoe converted me to Adidas. I have been wearing these shoes religiously for about a month now with weight training 5-6 times a week and still no wear. At first I was hesitant to switch brands- but I am without a doubt so happy that I made the changed. This will for sure be my choice shoe when it comes to working out now. (:
This is my second pair of these lifters. Adidas has always fit my foot well and I have never had quality issues. And I love that I was able to get these customized with my name on the heel. Even with the customization they arrived in s week !!
This is a great looking shoe and comfortable, although I have flatfoot I think my toes receive a little bit of pressure when I walk.. Thats normal I guess. Only con I see is that the outsole material doesn't look sturdy for everyday walk on the streets and in rough surfaces but good for gym floors so I think outsole wont last more than a year...
Very comfortable! Got a lot of compliments while wearing these. When I first tried them on waliing our treadmill on an incline, I was surprised that I no longer have pain on my heels, knees, nor shins! My husband complained that I was walking too fast downtown San Francisco, and he had to chase after me. I am in love with these shoes. Also got the Ultra Boost ST for running, and I love them too. They are true to their name as they do give you a boost to go that extra mile!
I've always use flat shoes to squat and decided to get these powerlifting shoes since now I'm starting to squat heavier. It's a great investment if you're looking to make gainz. Make sure to buy half a size down then your regular size.
Uncomfortable. Tongue is not padded all the way up and you feel the instep strap pressing against your foot when the ankle is fully flexed. The tongue is made from a plastic mesh and has neoprene padding underneath. The neoprene padding does not extend all the way up the tongue. So there is no padding where the edge of the instep strap meets the top of your foot. The lace system is lousy. Aside from the tongue and laces it does the job but I'm not satisfied with the $$ i spent.
I fell in love with this shoe as soon as I put it on.The comfort and feel of this shoes incredible. I feel like I have the energy to workout and train for days. My workouts consist of running and bootcamps. The only drawback to this shoe is that it lacks support during lateral movements. I have to really slow down with lateral movements because the shoe gives which causes your foot and ankle to roll which could cause an injury. I anticipated this with the running shoes but expected more from the trainer but it is still a great shoe.
Hands down these shoes are divine!! DIVINE!! These adidas are the best shoes iv ever purchased, when they arrived they looked even better than the pictures online. I wore them to work that same day I picked them up and I got many compliments with the unique textile, and synthetic materials on the outside of the shoe. It has a Lace-up closure makes it super easy to put on and take off. The fabric on my toes makes it Breathable, it's a thin lining that offers a great in shoe feel. There's also Sock-like arch that trully supports and feel like the shoes are hugging the foot. Molded foam insole. Super light weight like a feather, the padding on the soles were comfortable didn't even need to buy inner soles. The quality of the shoes are perfect and worth what I paid. I am thinking about buying another pair but for my husband. They are stylish, classy, yet they are the perfect fit and true to its size. Everyone at work had nikes I used to wear them but now I know I'm an adidas girl. Adidas always has the coolest styles!Thank you for adidas for coming up with an amazing shoe! It's unlike any other!!!
A few other people mentioned running small, but I felt they were more than 1/2 size too small. I wear a 13, regular in all my other shoes and they fit fine. I got a 14 in the ZG Trainer and it is still a little too small. The length is about right, but with the narrow width I wish I could have ordered a 14.5 or 15. Overall comfort is excellent and shoe quality seems really good. Adidas just needs to figure out sizing and these would be 5 star.
I'm in love with this shoe, but it's sadly too small (by 1/2 size at least), and doesn't come in an 11 which is bizarre and unfortunate. If it came in an 11 or even 11.5, I'd buy more than 1. Super comfortable, lightweight shoe, and the black is sleek and stylish. (And if this one comes in your size, I'd recommend it over just the regular Pure Boost X, I found the design here is more comfortable and stylish)
I have high arches and these are the first shoe that I don't have to wear orthotics with. They put compression on the arch that feels amazing! Like an orthotic, you do need to wear them for short amounts of time at first and work your way up. I also love that they are made with scuba type fabric. Really comfortable and easy to wipe off. I already bought a second pair in another color!
The shoes are great for indoor gym types of workouts, you can still feel the boost technology not as much as the ultra boost but just enough to allow you to move quickly. The only this I wish they had was additional selections of colors.
First ever weightlifting shoe and it definitely makes a difference. Great all-round shoe, expect it to last a while. I take womens size 7 in a normal shoe so I bought mens size 5 and that was spot on - people say to go 1 to 1.5 sizes smaller but that would've been too big for me.
Nice Shoes. In the beginning I wasn't sure on the sizing. I tried on a pair of Adidas running shoes and ordered off of that. First putting them on it was tight and I did not think they were the right size. After lacing them up and strapping in they felt great. They were comfortable and fit perfct. Lifting: Awesome. During squats I felt like my feet were in conrete and stable. Helped me squat a little deeper, it felt comfortable and stable. Would highly recomend.
So comfortable! It feels like I'm walking on a cloud! Very lightweight shoe. Its a great shoe for daily use but not really great for running. That being said, I have problems with over-pronation and need a lot of arch support in my shoes when I'm running and this shoe just wasn't enough for me when it came to higher intensity exercise. The shoes also run a little small, I would recommend ordering a 1/2 size bigger. I ordered a whole size bigger after reading the reviews and wish I would have just went a 1/2 size up.
So I have been training in running shoes for years. This is my first pair of trainers and I love them. I am a trainer and member at Title Boxing Club and they really help with lateral movement and stability. The boost material is great and the soles are super sticky. I understand the need for the straps on the sides, but after a couple hours of hard training, they did dig the sides of my feet a bit. One to two hour sessions are fine, but if you wear them for more than that or for casual wear you may find a little discomfort. Not sure if they are worth the 40 buck upgrade from the regular ZG trainers but, that being said, they look great, are super bouncy, help with movement and speed. Great job Adidas
I bought these thinking they would be alright for my gym workouts and light running. I bought these thinking the fit would be there, as the usual quality of shoe I've come to expect however what I got was something else. These kick butt! Seriously! I have not taken them off! The fir is snug so if you have wide feet, buyer beware. The side supports are perfectly cinching so I get good movement. No slippage. The neoprene had me nervous but it paid off because it fits my foot perfectly! Well done to the bad boys of Adidas on this one!
I've only had a few work outs in them but so far they are fitting and working great. No issues with manufacture can be found, no loose threads or mis-aligned parts. I wear a US 11D and these fit me very well. As you expect, these are Very Supportive from heal to ball of foot but do allow comfortable flex at the ball of the foot for OLY lifting.
After having worn these for about a year I cannot imagine anything else being better. At the very least the bar has been set pretty high. The stability with these shoes when catching weight is second to none.
My husband really likes these shoes. He was weightlifting with his crossfit sneakers and he says that they make a big, big difference. He definitely recommends them and says that he would buy another pair in a different color
