Great shoes. Noticed much better stability in my squats. Works well for all compounds. Granted my squats are still quite low compared to lots of vets, when I reach much higher weights I may move away from these shoes.
I've only used these a few times since I got but I must say already they've made my squats better. I love the shoes. Definitely a must have. I have to get used to keeping them on longer but for now I only use it for legs workout and deadlifts. Maybe I'll get used to it
First pair of lifting shoes and these are great. A little strange to get used to at first but once you tell yourself they are just for lifting they are true quality. Not ideal for anything else but lifting.
These shoes are a must for beginners and intermediates who squat or do strength/bodybuilding training regularly. Added 10kg to my squat instantly with better form and now my flexibility in my lower body is exponentially better. Highly recommended.
These shoes are everything is hoped for and more. I'd wanted them for ages and just never got round to actually purchasing them. There incredible, straight away when using them, I noticed a massive difference. Adidas's Find Your True Fit I have to say, is incredible and got my true fit for the products I purchased spot on.
Excellent weight distribution through the foot when olympic lifting, lighter than the previous model. Extremely happy with my purchase and would recommend for anyone who wants to improve their lifting capabilities.
Bit of a delay in delivery but delighted when they arrived. Fit perfectly and very comfortable. Provided great stability when squating and feel they gave me a solid base in everything I do at the gym.
I'm originally a UK size 8. I bought a size 8 but it was too small and tight. I bought a size 8.5 but it was still too small and tight. I'm now waiting on a size 9 to be delivered. Hopefully they will fit. I do have broad feet so perhaps that may be the reason to the discomfort, however I do have size 8 adidas gazelles which fit perfectly.
I pondered what shoes I wanted to buy for a fairly long time. these seemed to be a god middle ground between price/performance and I liked how they looked. Pros: -comfy nice and tight along the outer/upper side of your foot making feel really secure. -really solid grip on the floor -I personally really liked how they looked cons: the ONLY issue and this was the deal breaker with these shoes is when I was doing some 270lb+ squats (200lb body weight) they were squishing under my feet. my girlfriend thought my heels were coming off the floor it was bending so much. if you're lifting lighter these are really nice shoes and I like them. but If I can't squat in them what's the point.
I believed all the other reviews that said to size down at least a half size and in some reviews they said a full size. A lot of people seem to think that these shoes are sized like men's and that is why people are sizing down but that's wrong. They are NOT men's sizes. I am normally an 8 or 8 1/2. I didn't know what to do since I'm different sizes in different brands or shoe types and the reviews were very convincing to go down. I ended up buying a 7 1/2. I could barely get my foot in the shoe, they were really small and tight. I own some Adidas trainers and they are 8 1/2, I should have just disregarded all the reviews and gotten the same size as my trainers. I'm going to try that and will leave another review when they come and I've tried them out.
I absolutely love these shoes! I have been doing powerlifting and these shoes are by far the best I have bought!! Wasn't sure about the size by reading the reviews, I usually take a 7, so that's what I went with and they fit great. I'm so glad I decided to make the purchase!!
The shoes came up very small in 6.5, I had to order half a size bigger from Adidas speciality sports, which came up bigger than expected but usable. Very high quality, and attractive. Be careful about sizing. Free returns is a bonus. But if you used a voucher you'll end up sending more to get a pair in the right size, unless you're willing to wait two weeks for the return to be approved and phone up to ask for a new voucher before buying a new pair in your size (no direct exchanges are possible). As I needed to use the shoes asap I ended up getting back less money on the first pair than I spent on the second.
First pair of lifting shoes. Fit true to size. Very comfortable. Sturdy in heel especially noticeable when squatting, also in military/push press yet enough flex to walk around gym without issue. No real grounds for comparison but very happy overall with shoe.
If you're at all serious about your squatting, these shoes are what you need. Feels amazing, allows for a very smooth movement. Only issue I had is that they're slightly more narrow than they appear in the photos. I expect them to expand a little with time, as with most shoes. If you're on the fence with these, you can feel comfortable taking the plunge.
I own adidas running shoes that are size 7 women. However, i followed the advice of the reviewers and order a size down. 6.5. That was a mistake. The shoe was too small. However, the quality of the shoe seemed sturdy and the heel seemed stable. But I could not try them on. The color of the shoe was not my taste. I returned them. I am frustrated by the fact there are no color options for women and the men sizing on weightlifting shoes are too big. The adidas websites lowest size for men is a 7, which is a size 8ish for women. Thus, i ended up buying from another brand because of lack of color, and sizing. I hope adidas will offer more colors in women selection and sizing options in the men selection.
Really pleased with my new lifters!! Delivered within 3 days as well which was great! Sizing comes up slightly big so if I were to get another pair I would definitely go half a size smaller. Very comfy and a pleasure to train in!! Highly recommend!!
These shoes are a little stiff/tight around the toes...not much flexibility. But that's because their purpose is to stabilize your feet when lifting weights which they do excellently. Also they don't breath very well so my feet start to get hot towards the end of my workout. But they eliminated the pains I was having in the sides of my foot so its worth it to me.
I love these shoes! Man I can tell about an 80% difference in the way my squats feel! My first squat with them I drove through the floor and did reps with a heavier weight than usual! Definitely gonna help me with that gain train!
I wear specialty athletic shoes. These do not fit like basic running shoes so don't compare to your runners. If you wear sport specific athletic shoes (I play collegiate volleyball) and buy sport specific shoes choose the same size. I went a size down per reviews and they were too small.
I've been squatting in new balances for the past 3 months and let me tell you the huge difference these shoes made for me. The stability I feel on my walk out alone makes them worth it but also they just feel so stable and solid when your going A.T.G. Also the raised heel helps me a lot bc I have ankle mobility issues I've been working on but I don't have to go as wide as I normally do anymore bc my heels not coming off the ground anymore with this shoe. Overall I guess I love them and would definatly recommend them to others o think I'm gonna get the more expensive lifting show by adidas bc of how much I love these cheaper versions.
I've been powerlifting for a few years and these shoes were recommended to help with easing some pain and making my lifts a little better. It's just been a month, but so far they've done both things. As mentioned in other reviews, they do seem to run large. I'm a 6.5 in running sneaks but a 5.5 in these. When I had to return my first pair because they were too big, it was a breeze, so no worries there.
Adidas do make a narrower show but weight lifting shoes should be tight so your feet don't move around in the shoe. These are not for cardio these are for squatting. Only get these if you know you're gonna be squatting regularly. These helped so much I didn't even have to warm up to squat to depth it just came naturally and easily and since I'm not worry about keeping my balance or going to depth I can focus on moving the weight. If you're having trouble finding your size on here try ordering from another store.
Seem like great shoes, however they were a big bigger than I expected. I am normally a size 6 in most stores, so I ordered a 5.5 to be safe and it was still big. I returned and bought a smaller size. They seem quite comfortable and good quality though.
A friend of mine recommended this shoe to me and I'm so glad I purchased them! This is my first pair of lifting shoes and I was worried they were going to be uncomfortable but they offer a ton of support! I highly recommend. However - its male sizing so be careful when ordering !! I'm typically an 8.5-9 and I purchased the 7.5 and they're perfect.
This really takes my squat to the next level, I can lower myself to parallel or below without coming up with my butt first and it just ends up feeling like all of my legs are getting more work out of it.
