I've been wearing this shoe for squash and racquetball and it's a top quality shoe for many reasons: -The stability features provide a great platform for multi-directional movement. Starting with the uppers of the shoe, the adidas three-stripe logo and Energysling provide a highly functional mid-foot wrap that secures the foot so there is no sliding within the shoe. The rigid plastic heel cup on the outside of the shoe is really important during aggressive movements because it locks your heel into place so that your foot doesn't roll at impact during a lunge. The best thing about the Top Grip outsole is the addition of the three pivot points. It allows a better transfer of power and change of direction in your movements to each corner of the court. -The cushioning is firm and responsive. In my experience, this provides more durable cushioning and a better connection to the ground. Despite the notable lack of softness in the midsole you won't feel the hard lunging either. -The general fit of the shoe is very good. I have a narrow foot, especially through the heel and mid-foot, and this shoe manages to fit my oddly shaped foot. A wider toe-box gives the forefoot a little more room to spread. The shoe's inner lining is really nice too- breathable with minimal seams so you won't have any areas that rub and create blisters or hotspots on your foot. My one complaint would be that the ankle collar is a little too tight out of the box. It pinches near the last eyelet and takes about a week of wearing to loosen up.
