Unless your male 'anatomy' is smaller than most you will find these shorts incredibly restrictive. The waist size is normal but they won't work for you if your 'anatomy' is normal or larger, if you get my meaning

The shorts look nice. I like the 5 inch length, especially for stretching work. Mobility is good. I might have more to say about the coolness features next summer, but so far the shorts are very comfortable. The liner is soft and unobtrusive in feel. The small pocket is an important addition, but be warned it is small -- handles one or two credit card size cards and a key ( but not a key chain or anything else). Stripes are white unlike pale green shown in image.

These shorts are so wonderful I have purchased three more pair! I cant begin to say how much I LOVE THEM! They are the perfect step down from my 3" split shorts I wear to compete. Long shorts tend to bother me while running, and I dont need the 3" when I am just traing, so these are absolutely perfect! They are also incredibly light weight and breathable for all those hot days out on the road!

Overall, I like the short. However, must agree with another reviewer that the mesh lining tends to compress "your package". And while the legs are amply roomy, the front is not.
Material is thin -- but previous pairs that were thin have managed to last several years.
Price was just OK -- you might find 'em cheaper elsewhere.

It's come to the point that I'd expect nothing less than excellent performance shorts from Adidas. This is my 3rd order and, just like the previous, they're are perfect for running and volleyball: lightweight and non-restricting. Looking forward to #4.
