Being a sneaker mogul, my wife wanted to purchase a pair of sneakers for my birthday. Obviously, I settled on the Somoa Sneaker. I came across them in Footlocker. The next day we went to the Mall to purchase them. Five stores later no luck. I was looking for the White and Colegiate Blue Trim. We returned home, went on line, 3 sites later, ball dropping from Footlocker because they were outta stock. My wife suggested, why not try the Addidas online service.
Problem solved. My sneakers arrived and they are Sweet. Message for the Masses. Addidas is Move. The On-line service, selection etc, will meet the bar. I'm a lifer with Addidas period.

Most people don't know how to describe this shoe. Don't just buy it because its a Samoa shoe or because there is an ADIDAS LOGO/SIGN on it ...no that's just bad shopping.'' feeling good'' this shoe once not twice but once you put them on that feeling good moment comes back running at you, that feeling when you know your shoes fits, that feeling good moment that even though your 1,000pounds over weight you can still run around the world 3 times ... why? why? why? Adidas, what did you make this shoes with..... seriously this shoe is awesome i recommend it to everyone.. it can wear with anything, it can even wear without clothes and still look good .....and the reason for that is the shoes is perfect .....i'm about to buy one rite now .....

I agree with the review above that mentions the grain. It is a disappointment that the picture does not accurately represent the leather. I still like the shoes, but the image is not accurate. The leather is much smoother and there are no texture details as shown.

I ran in a pair of Addidas SX 72's in 1975. They were the number one running shoe in their time. I used a pair of Addidas Country (green stripes) for casual wear. These Samoa's bring me back to that era. They fit perfectly. I have narrow shoe needs and these are ideally suited to it. The shoe looks very good in a casual setting (jeans) and seems to provide adequate support in taking long walks and driving.
Great buy and the price was pefect for filing a slight need in the shoe inventory.

While it appears to be a handsome shoe, I bought this shoe for my five year old son as he picked them out for the beginning of the school year in late August. By mid November, the shoe inserts have worn out while the shoe soles are still good. Usually parents are stymied by kids outgrowing their shoes before the soles are worn. Never have I seen the inner shoe become worn before the outer. I am having difficulty finding replacement inserts and our son cannot wear the shoe anymore. I would not buy this shoe again.

I bought the Samoa shoe in royal blue. They shipped and arrived quickly. I wear size 10.5, but because they have a narrow look to them, I ordered size 11. It's a good thing I did. They do run quite narrow and the size 11 shoes are snug. In fact 11.5 might not have been a bad fit. I like the new retro appeal they have especially with my track suits and jeans. I'm glad that I bought them.

I'm a respiratory therapy student and I bought these to wear during my 12 hour days during my clinical rotation. I've worn adidas before and they're very comfy. I hope these work out as well. They do run a bit narrow, but that works out well for me as my feet run a bit narrow as well.

The first time I wore this pair of shoes made me think twice. This pair of shoes hurt my feet but after days of wearing them, the pain has subsided. I wear this Samoa shoes everyday. It feels and looks great. I get a lot of compliments wearing them. I highly recommend this shoes.

I love the styling of this shoe, but the design needs an update, badly. Apparently shoe design has come a very long way since the 80's. There are some quality control problems, since I bought two pairs of these shoes in the same size but different colors, and one pair fits and the other is too tight. I bought three pairs of shoes all told and they all run pretty small. I'm a size 10.5, maybe a little bigger, so normally I buy size 11 and usually have a bit more room than I'd prefer. I'm probably going to have to return 2 of the 3 because they're just too narrow. The length is right for me, which means they're about a half size small in terms of length because I'm a 10.5, really. But the width is just wrong. I don't have especially wide feet but I had to really work the laces on the one pair to get them to fit me, and whatever I do I can't get the other two pairs to fit.
Very tight in the toes, and very narrow shoes. It's a shame, because other than the sizing issues, I love the style.
Also, I can't really call these proper athletic shoes. They feel like they'll fly right off if I tried to run in them. On the other hand, that may just be because of how loose I had to keep the laces just to get them on.
Buy these a full size bigger than what you normally wear and you'll be okay, if you don't mind going boat length.

The samoa fitted comfortable when I tried them on and the attraction was the color and the way the shoe was design in my eyes that made me want a pair. I like them because they stand out from the rest of the model from adidas, which gives the samoa a distinctive and exotic look from my eyes. I am going to purchase some more and will recommend this shoe to friends and family as well.

They were a bit squeaky at first, but after breaking them in and wearing them around school, they're one of the best pairs of shoes I've purchased. I've gotten lots of compliments and many are surprised at the low price tag. A great investment and I'm sure ill be coming back for another pair soon.

Coming from a young adult, these particular pair of Adidas are nice. The color (Cardinal) is sweet! The shoes dont come with as much texture as the picture shows, but when you get them in your hands you really cant be upset. The quality of the shoes are great. Nice buy!

I recently purchased the cardinal/white firebird jacket. Couldn't find the pants anywhere, looked at every site available. The only size they have is 1x and I'm a 3x. Then tried to get the cardinal/white samoas and they only had a size 4 in the whole world, I was like wow. I'm very disappointed that I couldn't put my outfit together for my family reunion, that is in a couple of days now. Since I purchased the jacket, which was not my first color of choice, they was out of navy blue of course, I'm now stuck with a cardinal/white firebird jacket with NO pants and I had to settle with the all white samoas, which I didn't want at all.
Thx Adidas for having the products in stock like NIKE. I can find Jordans faster then Adidas products. Tried to put this outfit together for 2 months and still no luck. Disappointed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I use the Samoa for that early jeans and button up lunch or dinner on a beautiful weekend. They provide a level of comfort and relaxed professionalism that allows you to utilize them in a relaxed business outing. If you ask me, the Samoa is the perfect peel off the suit, and go straight to the yacht for an early evening sunset getaway.

Ordered a pair of white Samoas and after one day wearing them, the threading started coming out on the front top portion of my left shoe...trust me, I take good care of my shoes... This was a quality issue. I did order a new pair and Adidas refunded my money on the first pair no problem.
If they didnt look so fresh, id say pass... But... Gotta have em.

i had to go to the adidas outlet store to exchange 5 times because each time it was a different issue with the way they fit. with the last pair the left shoe is so loose and the right side fits ok. they look great in the box. quality control is bad. i expected more from adidas.

As good of a price as I've found online (including discount retailers), free shipping, top quality shoe, came as expected. As with internet shopping, knowing your size is half the battle. Fast deilvery. you can't beat the black on black, which for whatever reason is tough to find with any decent shoe these days.

The legacy design is great. I am using these boots when I referee soccer matches. The fact that they are all black makes a difference. They are comfortable and work well on the natural turf. Waiting to see how they handle synthetic turf.
Only negative is that they are a bit narrow.

I haven't worn Samoa's in a while. I got the solid black color for every day office and shop wear. They're a bit stiffer than what you would normally wear for true athletic use. I also found the inner sole had a bit different feel to it, which took a little getting used to.

Great fit and comfort. The only part of the shoe I'm not crazy about is the extra thick toe guard. The shoe would have possessed the full classic look with less rubber and more suede in the front toe area.
