micoach is all you need to get the results you want.
Having tried a selection of twelve raincoats from a variety of brands, this one far outclassed the others. The fit is perfect, I am 6'3" and the medium was spot on. The waterproofing is 100% only without the internal sweating issues you get with other jackets. It's super breathable. And even better, the zips front and back mean flexibility, which means it's comfortable for cycling as much as walking. Solid.
If you think back to the athletes of the mid-20th century, people like Owens or Ali, this is the type of jacket they would wear while training. Early fall morning’s would find them doing roadwork with a towel wrapped around their necks and tucked into a cotton, snap-up jacket like this one. They didn’t have all the synthetic fabrics with hollow core fibres, neoprene collars and whatever else, and they got through their training just as well. I think it’s pretty bold, and pretty awesome that Adidas resurrected that old school training apparel for their Performance line and not as casual wear for the Originals range of products. (I’m sure they would’ve sold more if this was branded with the trefoil instead of the performance step logo but I ultimately prefer that this old school look is wedded with the new school logo.) Anyways, I love this thing. It fits great, it’s heavier weight sweater material, like a mid-to-heavy weight hoodie with thermal-like waffle panel inserts under the arms—NOT like a wool varsity jacket material--and warm enough for moderate weather and mornings. I’m 5’10”/177cm and 170lbs/77kg with a lean upper body; the small fits me like a jacket, meaning I can wear shirts and less bulky sweatshirts underneath it if need be. Thanks.
The biggest offset would be that the material where it has contact with other things, even other soft material, it frays a little (the lower back and under forearms). It is warm and very light. The slim-fit sizing is great, except the opening for the wrists is a little large and loose. I also hate how when I sit down with it zipped-up, the front gets bunched and protrudes out quite a bit. Otherwise, all positive.
This jacket is a favourite item in my wardrobe. If I had one complaint it would be that it's too nice to work out in, in my opinion, though it would be excellent for that propose. The mesh-like material that covers the back is great at venting the right amount of body heat. The jacket feels perfect in most temperate weather. It has a nice soft heathered lining, as well. Most importantly, of course, is that it looks great: simple; classy; discreet; a great fit, not too big not too slim (I'm ca. 5'10"/179cm, 175lbs/79.5kg and wear a small, as I like my clothes on the closer-fitting side.)
