Just bought these shoes for my son. the Dick's employee stated the shoes will mold to his feet. When does that happen? There is so much space between the top of his foot and the shoe. soccer shoes are supposed to fit your foot. the shoe is the correct length, about a thumb nail between big toe and end of shoe. There is just way too much room on the sides and top of the foot.
Good product for my level of play,High school, and are durable. Good design with the shoe tounge and upper was a good material. Size was a little bigger, about a half size, than other adidas shoes I have in the same size. The side squeezes my foot a little tight but I expect that to go away with more wears. Overall great product.
My son has trouble finding cleats that fit. Adidas makes size 13.5 men's cleats that are a good fit. My son had a pair of Gloros but felt they were too heavy and he didn't like the band that goes around the bottom. These cleats seem lighter and he says they are comfortable.
After wearing the cleats for 4 hours the toe of the left cleat melted. I have only ever bought adidas cleats and am extremely disappointed. This is unacceptable being that I paid a good amount for them only for them to be ruined a few hours after I got them.
The cleats are uncomfortable. After play a full game the sole of my foot felt like I was stepping on clove. Also, the cleat is got so hot and unconfortable that the first time that You wear the cleat it will cut the back of your heel. I want my money back. I been I customers of adidas for years. Personally, I would not be buying this model ever again.
These shoes are very comfortable, especially for having such a firm footbed. They mold to your foot immediately and require no break in time. The one side cut tongue facilitates both of those things along with the upper material. The material is synthetic, but seems to be a good mix of tough and pliable. I would rate these five stars except for two things. The first is the color - you cannot tell on the website, but the blue is sparkly like car paint. Please, please give us a nice normal black. I kept them anyways because they are so comfortable, but I seriously considered returning them. The other thing I could see being a problem is a lack of adjustability. They fit me well, but a wider foot would need one sized in wide because of the tongue. If you are considering them, I recommend trying them because of how great they feel if they fit you.
Always spend a little extra on your feet, your body will thank you for it. The sprint frame is fantastic; my feet and ankles feel secure moving about the field. I have solid grip on every field I've played on this far. One wear and they were broken-in. Hands down, the best boots I've played rugby in. I play flanker or #8, which require tons of movement and defensive play.
In my opinion, these have been a pair of boots that gives quality based on comfort and the touch. The one thing though is the size. It is not perfect, but it is not bad. Other than that, I highly recommend getting a pair of the .2 than the .1 in the fact that there is no big difference. The .2 are $70 cheaper.
So, got this to help appease my son who is a bit particular about fit, but also was really yearning for the cool-sock top-style look usually demanding @$170-200+. These fit the bill with styling and fit/function and price point. Couldn't be much happier with the purchase!
These boots are the best. The quality is amazing, in nearly two year of playing the beautiful game with an amazing team I have gone through an astonishing amount of cleats due to quality. When I switched over to Adidas I was extremely satisfied with the comfort, touch of the ball, and fit. This boot suits me perfectly as a midfielder/winger. In the near future I personally hoper that there will be a blackout colorway of the Ace. Thank you Adidas
I love these cleats. They look sweet, feel amazing on my feet, and have very nice tongue design. My first day of wearing them was at an all-day camp, and I was cool and comfortable with my new cleats(and racking up complements). My only problem is the laces look a little cheap. Wish they didn't have laces, but whatever. I have had Messi's since they came out, and loved every cleat. Thank you adidas!
Once you put them on you feel how it automatically fits to your foot perfectly and it's not like other shoes that feel heavy instead you feel like you're not wearing anything at all but still get the perfect touch while playing in the field.
I liked the idea of the sock because the tongue on my shoes will travel to one side and make it uneven. As soon as I tried them on, I knew they were too narrow for my feet. I am 56 but I don't consider my foot too wide. I don't normally buy wide fit shoes, but these were too narrow. I am returning and looking for another shoe
Honestly of of the best take down models there is. I have had many low end models of many cleats and by far this is the most comfortable indoor shoe I've ever worn. The sock also makes the shoe very comfortable, in the past with take down models I always find the tongue moving around even with the laces pulled very tight. It might not be a big deal to most people, but for myself it is one thing that takes away from the comfort of a shoe. This shoe however I don't experience this issue because it has no tongue instead it has been replaced with the sock collar. Overall this is a great shoe, it is very comfortable and also cheap.
Bought these in 9.5. I'm a veteran player (old guy# and coach, and I have a challenge finding boots that fit my expanding foot. I have some 15.3 turfs #size 10) where they pinch me just a bit in the left forefoot. The 9.5 in this boot is wider in the forefoot and fits comfortably. However where the Prime Mesh forefoot meets the PU mid-foot, gapping and bunching starts causing an un-even fit. I suspect the 16.2 Firm Ground shoe would not do this, as it appears that the Prime Mesh covers both the forefoot and mid-foot areas. The heel also has some gapping, however the ankle-sock helps eliminate slippage. The turf sole for this shoe is very well designed, and provides a stable platform. Not too flat, but not so high that one would have to fear rolling over. I'm going to return these in hopes that adidas brings out 16.2 turf model, however I have no problem recommending this boot. I think for the player who does not have to deal with so many "foot issues" after 30+ years of play will find this a good choice.
