I got my Samba's for my 13th birthday back in like 2005 (i'm 23). Samba's are THE UTILITY SNEAKER! Everyday wear, pick-up games, lifting shoes whatever. Surprisingly one of my favorite shoes to commute via bicycle on because of the sole's ruggedness. These shoes have been with me through college, trips through the middle east, and i'm still wearing them today in the gym and around town. Dear Adidas, Thank you. P.S. If we could get some white colour on the gum sole, you'd make one happy boy.
I bought these kicks for my daughter to wear to school in her uniform because they match with anything and they don't get dirty or messed up easily. I buy these for her every once in a while because they're good kicks
These are legit the dopest shoes on the market. Not only are they super comfortable, but they look amazing in addition to the tiro 15 training pants. I couldn't be happier with them, and they fit perfectly. Great job Adidas!
I love these shoes with a pair of decent khaki shorts and casual shirt. To me the guy that doesn't want to wear running shoes these are just right, and to guys that play or have played soccer you will understand what I am saying..
This shoe was worth every dollar and cent. For 60$, I got a shoe that was both stylish and versatile. Even after two months of constant use, my shoes still look virtually brand new, unlike my old shoes which yellowed and wore out after a while. My only complaint was that they were very, very tight when I first wore them, but they got better once I breaked them in enough. Another quality product from a renowned shoe manufacturer.
I am using this shoe for work. i work forty hours a week on concrete and my feet feel fine all day long. i have been using this shoe exclusivity for over four years and bought the current two pair so i have backups. They will last me a couple of years.
Let me start by saying that this is my second pair of Sambas. The first pair was bought in 2002 and I used them for a variety of activities and sports including Tennis and outdoor basketball. That pair was stolen in 2013. Yes, someone stole a pair of 11 year old shoes because they are just that good. When I set out to find a replacement, I was disappointed to see that the updated version had a different insole that placed some awkward cushioning under the medial aspect of the foot. After numerous attempts at finding an alternative, I ended up buying a pair anyway. The good news is that the extra foam that was bothering me was very easy to remove. Was able to peel it off in less than 15 seconds and these babies feel just like my old Sambas.
I'm a big guy. I have a size 14 W foot and I'm over 6 feet tall. I always wanted Sambas but didn't think that they would be wide enough. After talking with an Adidas online specialist and some of my soccer buddies I decided to try them out. I figured the return policy is good so why not. I am NOT going to need the return policy. They fit great right off the bat! Now after a few days, as the leather has broken in, I don't even feel the shoes on my feet. They are incredibly comfortable. I will never get another kind of sneaker. Sambas for life!
Got them in 2010 for regular sneakers to wear with jeans and to school, but ended up wearing them to go hiking, shopping, running, camping, you name it, I probably did it in these shoes. Wore them every day for 4 years before the rubber on the bottom of the shoe finally started to wear out... And then it still took forever for it to be a serious problem during rainy days. Misplaced my pair while traveling (some housekeeper probably threw out my trust sambas sob*) but it's okay because I get to start all over again wih new ones! I buy the kids shoes because my feet are really small- and the quality is wonderful! Thanks Adidas for not skimping on kids shoes and making my favorite pair forever!! (Hint hint)
These Sambas have seen me through adventures from the Appalachian mountains to the far side of the world. They have hiked passes on the Rwenzoris and walked the cobblestones of Sevilla. When the shoelaces literally disintegrated to dust in the heat of South Sudan, I replaced them with construction line, then later with tough outdoor lashing cord. They took a beating in Bangladesh and have walked the streets of Kolkata for a year. Now the journey of these fine shoes is finished. RIP Sambas. #AdventureShoe — in Calcutta, India.
Excellent shoes for those who need versatility from their shoes. I love the treads on the sambas. They provide excellent grip when outdoors, but are also flat, which suits my needs for the style of kung fu that I practice. The black colour matches with everything, and the rubber sole is dark, blending in easily. They look good with shorts & no socks in the summer. And they're good for winter, which important because I live in Canada. I hate boots because they're heavy and bulky. Plus, my other shoes get destroyed by the constant exposure to salt. These shoes have that half inch of rubber along the sole which makes a big difference. The insoles have a bump to provide some arch support, but I find them awkwardly placed. I may cut them out to create a more flat insole.
What more can I say. I recently had to retire my Americano's. I've had those for nearly 4 years. I chose to replace them with the Sambas since they don't make Americano's anymore. It's exactly what I expect from Addidas. Once these babies break in it'll be even more comfier. I have flat/ wide feet and these are just perfect for them. The Suede hold up pretty well in the rain. I recommend these for everyday daily wear.
I just bought these and have only worn them for a couple of days. First thing I notice is that they are killing my feet. They are too narrow on the sides, and trust me I am not a wide shoe guy. I get alot of compliments that they look cool but I am not sure it is worth the blisters on the outsides of my feet. If you have super narrow feet, these are your shoe.
This is my second pair of these shoes, and the only reason I got new ones is because my first pair was scratched and scuffed. My first pair are still a perfectly functional pair of shoes, which I wear to work it. These shoes are comfortable, durable, and functional. I have used mine for: soccer, ultimate frisbee, biking, work, and casual wear. These are awesome shoes.
I have been wearing Adidas Samba Classics for years.....every day of the year. I have a walking disability and after many many tests of wearing many many other brands, the Samba Classic is the ONLY shoe I've found that not only gives my foot the support it needs, but is incredibly comfortable. I"ve gotten more compliments on these shoes....from total strangers I might add....than any other piece of clothing I've ever worn. I buy 3 or 4 pair at a time "just in case" something happens ....can't EVER be without my Samba Classics!
WE JUST BOUGHT THE WRONG SIZE.. HE THOUGHT IT WOULD BE OK BUT AFTER USING IT HE REALIZED IT WAS A LITTLE TOO BIG, WHICH MEANS IS TRUE TO THE SIZE. HE WEARS 13 AND I BOUGHT 13.5 JUST IN CASE... TOO BIG :( BUT IT IS A NICE SHOE INDEED.
I only own one pair of shoes at a given time. For the last 5 years they have been the addidas samba classic. I just ordered my 4th pair. The shoe is amazing. Great comfort, a tongue that doesnt get in the way, great from walking to running. The shoe overall is very durable. The only flaw i can see is the back area by the inside of the heel tends to wear out far faster than the rest of the shoe. Still i highly reccomend, and i dont see myself wearing any other shoe, unless i had a fancy job interview or wedding to attend. I still might just wear these :)
This is a very nice looking Samba and I prefer it over the classic. I have had many Sambas in the past and it is a great indoor shoe but unfortunately the right inside heal on this latest order just does not feel right. I have caulked it up to a slight manufacturing defect as the left shoe fits and feels great. I will try them again and I hope my next experience is better.
When I first put on this classic shoe it instantly felt amazing. It feels so good that when you switch to your other shoes, you don't feel the same. If you like comfortable and stylish shoes then buy these.
Basically, these are the comfiest, most reliable, most awesome looking pair of shoes ever! I own two pairs, and I wear them both out casually and to train on the pitch! Even after almost 1 1/2 years of constant use, they still hold together great and still make my feet feel amazing! These are definitely the only shoes I'll buy from now til the day I die!
I have only used these for 1 indoor turf game, so this is a review on initial fit. I tried on the Samba classics at the store and then ordered these. I normally wear a 9.5 US and these in 9.5 fit fine, same fit as Samba classic in my opinion. Most soccer shoes are too tight for my feet but these fit fine, tighter than casual wear shoes but not so tight that it hurt my feet while playing. Good touch and feel for the ball. I had no problems with traction on the turf field (with the black rubber grains).
I've had my Sambas for about four months now and I have little to no qualms with them. I personally wear them almost all of the time, but the only thing that could have been done better (I think) is the width of the shoe. Wearing the shoe pushes the sides of your foot inward and is rather uncomfortable. I thought at first that they just needed to be broken in but four months later, they still smush my foot, making walking or running in them unbearable after a short while. Overall the shoes are really nice and they stand the abuse that a lot of other shoes cannot handle. Definitely recommend if you think that you can handle the width issue. Four stars easily, borderline five.
Actually, I bought a pair of Adidas Millennium shoes in 2006 just to knock around in. Shortly thereafter my bicycle shoes wore out and until I could find a new pair, I started to bicycle in my Adidas Millenniums. (I still use toe clips on my pedals). Well, they worked out so well, that they became my bicycling shoes and lasted for 8 years. I usually ride about 5000 mile per year, so the 2006 pair had about 40,000 miles on them. I was so satisfied that, I just bought my second pair and they fit exactly like the first pair I had. Same shoe, same fit, same great performance.
I love these shoes. They are comfortable, casual, good for work, and they look awesome. Affordable too! I'm buying a pair of white ones soon. Adidas just look good and this classic shoe is no exception. If you are thinking of getting a pair, just do it .... (nike?) Sorry lol
When replacing my old pair (7 years) of Samba Millenniums, I looked at 20 or so other pairs of shoes because these weren't in stock. Unhappy with the choices on the market, I waited for the Sambas to come back into stock. Guess I'm set for another 5+ years. My only complaint (and it's a small one) is that the cushioning isn't very thick.
