Finally! I have spent over $1,000 dollars on running shoes this year -- trying to find a fit that works for me ... and doesn't wear out within a month. I run 20-25 miles per week and two half marathons per year. I have narrow heels and a wide forefoot. This foot shape coupled with custom inserts make it difficult to find a shoe that does not slip in the heel. Also, I am a heavy heel-striker and with the new "blown rubber" outsoles on many running shoes I seem to go through shoes every other month. The heel of the Boost Response fits snugly and the tech fit upper hugs my foot without pinching or rubbing anywhere. I bought a pair of the original yellow Energy Boost shoes, but they did not have enough support. The Response has support through the mid-foot and makes these perfect for those who need it. So far, I'm in love with these shoes. However, I cannot comment on how long they will last as I've only had them for a week and a half. I noticed the newer model of the Response does not have the tech fit upper -- please Adidas don't discontinue the tech fit upper! July 23, 2014
A Delightful Surprise! I ordered these shoes on a whim after clomping around in a pair I ordered for my husband. Wow, I could not be more happy with a pair of running shoes, especially for $100. Adidas keeps knocking it out of the park with Boost sneakers; I don't know which is the more superior feature of this Response Boost: the tech fit upper or the Boost sole. The tech fit upper allows the shoe to mold any foot without being too tight (provided your shoe is the correct size) and the Boost sole really does add a little pep to your step. I also wear Energy Boost and feel that this shoe has a little more stability. It also has a little more padding through the tongue. I purchased the navy blue and silver pair and love the colors, which will transition well into fall and running in tights as opposed to shorts. With that being said, I see another pair in my future with a new color having been added to the website since I last visited. I have a long, narrow foot (a women's size 12) and find that the Response fits perfectly. Thank you, Adidas, for offering options for women with feet my size. Through marathon training I'll be alternating between my Response Boost and Energy Boost, both two of the best shoes on the market. August 6, 2014
