Rated 5 out of 5 by My fave! I run about 5 days out of the week, slowly increasing my mileage (I'm at 4 miles a day, at about an 8:30 pace) and these shoes are great in stability and comfort. I used to have Climacool running shoes, which have relatively very little support. I started having really painful IT band issues & realized I have overpronation issues because of my knees having the tendency to bend inward more than normal, which made me look into these shoes! Since wearing these shoes (and doing IT band stretches and foam rolling) I've had zero IT band irritation. It took about a day or two to get used to the slightly different running gait the shoes gave me (a good thing) but I feel like I could run for miles on miles. The first time I wore them I actually felt like they were propelling me forward. As for look, I was kind of worried about the chunky look of the outside white sole that faces inward, but the gray curves that run through it break it up nicely, so it actually doesn't look chunky at all! I'm not really a fan of the bright neon shoe laces, so I'm planning on changing those out with purple ones, but other than that these shoes are hot! November 3, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by First Reaction My go-to everyday 3-5 mile shoe is the Nike LunarGlide. Support (so they claim) and very soft ride. I felt as though I needed more support for upcoming weekend long runs when the mileage climbs past 5-6 and I remembered that I used to wear Sequence 2 and 3 so I was eager to try the revamped 6. I ran seven miles with some walk breaks in mile 7 due to the humid Florida climate but I had no issues with achy knees etc. The cushioning is not as soft in the heel as the LunarGlides but it isn't supposed to be and it felt just fine. I could definitely tell that this is a cushioned shoe. I will follow up as mileage grows. I am a mild overpronator, averaging 15 miles a week but bought the shoes in anticipation of longer weekend runs on the horizon. August 5, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Not sure about recent changes I've bought the Supernova Sequence for 4 years for the superior comfort and support they provide. An excellent shoe! This time the shoes are quite different, much lighter, more flexible, and sitting lower on the ankle. I'm not sure yet how these changes are affecting my stride; will need more workouts to know for sure. The shoe is still comfortable, but with less support, my right foot tends to twist and yesterday this was causing pain. Not sure yet if I can wear this shoe. Normally would give 5 stars, but due to recent changes, giving 4 stars this time. Note on size: with running shoes, I go up a size for a little extra toe room. April 30, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by A new design and fit? I have been using this running shoe for years. Every time I re-order it is a "no brainer." I get the same size, same style. However, I am returning them because the have changed the overall fit. They are narrow and lack arch support. I will have to return to the running store to get a re-fit. I have searching for an older model online because these are my favorite. Very bummed. November 19, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by great shoes I love Adidas brand. They are great shoes, very comfortable, durable, trendy. This latest pair is the new addition to my collection. I bought the Supernova Sequence 6 Shoes in Glow. On the picture, it looked more like yellow, so I was expecting a yellow pair. I was a little disappointed when I saw this neon glow color. It was completely my fault, and there was nothing wrong with my order. I did make peace with the new color, and many people complemented on it already. So now, I'm very. happy with the color choice. My shoe size is 8.5. I ordered an 8.5, good size, good fit. I would highly recommend. April 8, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Supernova Sequence 6 The sides of the shoe / laces are not as high / supportive to the upper foot as previous versions of the Sequence shoe. Does not feel as "supportive" to the entire foot. January 6, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by upset have worn supernova or response for 15 years. I run 30 to 50 miles per week. This shoe is killing my feet. The plastic shoelace guides and the flat laces cause the shoe to slip and not be stable. I switched out the laces, and it helped some, but not completely. Also the shoe doesn't go up on the heel as high, which also makes it less stable. I am tying my laces so tight, it is causing pain on the top of my feet. I am also getting plantar facsitis. I know its the shoe, because as soon as I started wearing them I started having the problem. There has also been material taken from the upper to make them more breathable, but that also takes the stability away. I don't know what shoe to buy now. Tried on the Supernova glide. They feel good, but same lace problem. April 28, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Wish they had NOT redesigned these!!! I agree with some of the other reviews on this board. I was originally fitted with these shoes at a run shop several years back, and I absolutely loved them. I just kept going back and buying the same ones, because I knew that I could count on them. Something changed this time around. They redesigned these, and my feet have never hurt so bad. It feels like there is no support, either in the arch of my foot or the ball of my foot. I am SO disappointed. I feel I need to look for an alternative. December 31, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by NOT MiCoach compatible The description says that these shoes are micoach compatible. However they are not. They were the only ones that had all the technology I needed AND the micoach. So I thought. RETURN! April 15, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great shoe I needed a new shoe for the upcoming half marathon. I've always preferred Adidas, and have run my last three halves in the Bounce, which I loved. When I was unable to get another Bounce, I was impressed with the stats on the Supernova Sequence. From the first run, I've been impressed with the perfect fit, comfort in stride (I'm a heal striker), and relief I am feeling on my knees. One word describes this shoe- Awesome, May 10, 2014
