Rated 2 out of 5Â by Jazwyn Not Impressed I needed to replace my 3 year-old Climacool running shoes which I loved. They kept the pads of my feet and heels cool while power walking on my treadmill for an hour. So, I bought the Climacool Aerate medium width as I've always worn medium width in shoes. They were tight and caused the balls of my feet to burn so much that I returned them. After chatting with a company representative, I purchased the same shoes in the wide width thinking that would take care of the problem. To a small extent.....yes. However, for reasons I can't understand, the width across the shoes from the base of the big toe to the base of the little toe is still somewhat tight. This is causing a mild burning on the pads of my feet while power walking. My old Climacool shoes fit perfectly the very first time and I've enjoyed them immensely. Now, I've tried the "new" version both in medium and wide widths and they're just not nearly as comfortable. To say the least, I am very disappointed and can't understand why Adidas would redesign this shoe to be so much more narrow and tight. If it wasn't for the fact that I need that ventilation in the underside of the shoes' soles for breathe-ability, I would purchase running shoes from another company. Unfortunately, other companies don't offer running shoes with ventilation throughout the entire underside of the soles. To sum it up, I am just not impressed with this new version of Climacool.
