Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome! I'm really glad I bought these. I am not sure why people are saying they run narrow because I have a wide foot, and they fit me just great. Also, the sizing is true to any adidas shoe so whatever size you wear in any other adidas shoe, will be the same size you buy in these. They are also light enough for indoor, NO RUNNING, crossfit WODs. I can go from OH squats, Oly Lifts, to double unders, burpees, etc. I am glad I chose not to buy the reebok, hybrid shoe, the oly lifter. These are a great investment in the improvement of my weightlifting skills! December 20, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Must Have Piece! I seriously do not know how did I lift before I had these shoes and why in the world did I wait such a long time before I bought proper weight lifting shoes?!?!? Well, it must be the price. These shoes aren't cheap but they worth every penny. That being said, I do not recommend these to beginners which needs to spend time learning proper form before they use advanced equipment. Also, these are solely made for weightlifting, NO CrossFit WODs, NO general training at the gym, NO running, Tennis, Soccer, Basketball...you get it... January 7, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Amazing O-Lifting shoes I have a great pair of O-Lifting shoes and didn't need these, however, when I saw them on the Rogue Fitness website, I couldn't resist. I am so glad I got them. They are impeccably made. The materials are great and they are solid. The neoprene under the tongue keeps the foot in place and the power strap locks the foot in tight. The sole maintains contact with the ground and the heel plate is rock solid. Everyone at Aspen CrossFit loves them when they see them. I recommend them to all our athletes. Get them before they sell out!!! You won't be disappointed... February 4, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by best leg shoes ever I do not do super heavy squats. Max around 315lbs to preserve my back but I will occasionally leg press 800+. Most days I will do 500+ reps on the leg press machine and the bottoms of my feat and ankles just ache. These shoes are amazing. The support is perfect and the pain were gone instantly. The muscle isolation is just superb and allow the muscles being worked to go to complete exhaustion without blowing a hip flexer first. lol I never thought that shoes could make that much of a difference, and this may sound like a lot of money, but if you enjoy working out then this is money well spent and you will notice what I have shared on day one. ENJOY!!! February 18, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great lifting shoes! This is my first pair of lifting shoes, so I don't really have anything to compare them too, but the Adipowers are awesome. I got a half size down, so they felt really snug when I first put them on, but after my first day squatting with them they broke in and are extremely comfortable. Definitely helped with my footing/stability on snatches, clean/jerks, and squats. Quite pricey if you are just looking for a squat shoe once a week, but definitely a good investment if you plan on doing any olympic lifting. Just like all adidas shoes, they are a little narrow, so keep that in mind when ordering. All in all a comfortable, well built, badass looking shoe. April 17, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Big Boy Shoes I have been weightlifting for a little over a year and decided it was time to step up to a boy shoe. I started off in a pair of Adidas Powerlift trainers, and they were nice but I knew there was something more to be had. I told myself that once I hit a 200 pound snatch that I'd treat myself to a new pair of shoes. Thankfully that time came almost at the same time as my Tax return. Enter the Adipower's. They are fantastic, I am currently getting in 370 reps per week of snatches/cleans and jerks/squats/pulls in them and they are super comfortable. They took me a night to break in, and now it feels like I've been wearing them for a year. Highly recommended. April 18, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Shoes I previously owned a pair of Do-Wins and since I have relatively narrow feet, never really felt as stable as I thought I should be in oly shoes. I received the shoes in exchange for training a client of mine so I wasn't complaining. I tried out the shoes last night for the first time and loved how they felt through the movement! Definitely worth the investment for those who love olympic lifting! The most solid pair of shoes I have tried on thus far though. Fits snugly (which it should) and when you catch the bar only the very talented at being unbalanced will be able to complain about not feeling planted to the ground. Great shoe if you can afford the cost. January 3, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Adipower in Powerlifting I am a power lifter (not the same as oly lifting) I manly use these for squats and I would like to say that these are some of the most stable shoes I have ever worn for this lift. Once I am set for my lift, I feel as my feet are stuck to the ground. I wore some heeled shoes before that cost roughly around 115$, but I would consider the adipowers a few levels above those, so the money is well worth the quality of these shoes. I like to wear a size 8.5 so my feet has a little bit to breathe, but I know that a size 7.5-8 would fit my feet perfectly, so I went with the 7.5 for a snugger fit. There is a toe socket for this shoe, so going with a half size or one size smaller than your regular shoe would be perfect. February 8, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great shoe, but had a KNOT They are great shoes and fit just fine, loved the shoe. However, after careful inspection, I saw that the left shoe had a huge knot on the bottom of the shoe that could be felt when wearing it.. It was extremely obvious on the outside of the shoe as well. I really couldn't believe that Adidas would send out a product like that, which was OBVIOUSLY defective... Regardless, the shoe felt AMAZING so i will be returning them and ordering another pair, will just have to wait about a month for them to ever get here due to the return process... Would I recommend? Yeah, just make sure you really inspect the product. February 22, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great functional shoes These shoes are very well constructed. The hard plastic sole begins at maybe the ball of the foot and graduates to 24mm at the heel for an effective lift of maybe 20mm. The sole's footprint is wider than the foot and wraps the heel (similar to a racing car's seat). This provides tremendous lateral stability and prevents vertical power loss. I have a fairly serious injury and this shoe assists with power lifts by having the most aggressive heel lift amongst all the options (I have a shattered right talus and wouldn't mind 30mm of lift). The shoe feels narrow at first but breaks in after a couple of uses. March 31, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by Great OLY shoe I decided to go all out and get this OLY shoe and I couldn't be happier about it. I ordered the same size that I wear for my sneakers and they fit great. They add such stability to lifts and allow me to get deep without sacrificing form. March 9, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Wide feet For anyone reading this who has wide feet and isn't sure about getting these shoes, just get them! I have pretty wide feet. Generally narrow shoes don't fit me good but these feel fine. You're not going to be walking in them that much anyway. Just putting them on at the gym and choking them tight before a lift. btw I'm also not even an oly lifter. I'm a powerlifter. My lifts have gone up since I started squatting and deadlifting in these shoes. I actually also bench in them. I used to be an up on the toes bencher but I've recently switched to a flat foot and the raised heel improves my leg drive. April 15, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Amazing Weightlifting Shoe Use these shoes for my squats in powerlifting using an outside of shoulder width stance and low bar. These are Extremely well made and solid foundation. I normally wear a 10.5 running shoe with plenty of toe room. I get 10 in cleats and so went with 10 in these as well. They were very snug which is exactly what you want with weightlifting shoes. My feet will not be moving around at all once planted into place. November 30, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Pair of Oly Lifting Shoes So I had just been in some workout shoes until I got these, my first pair of olympic lifting shoes. While I can't compare to other shoes, I have to say that they are very comfortable and feel very solid underneath. I like that the laces have that extra eyelet on the back, as other shoes I looked at didn't (although the laces could be just a smidgen longer). The neoprene sleeve thing (in the tongue) does a nice job of holding your foot in place as well. The shoes aren't overly heavy and have good flexibility when doing jerks. I also feel like the single strap does a good job of locking you, but the pressure distribution is good (i.e., doesn't feel like it's tight in one place). My only quibble would be on color. While I like the firetruck red, it would be nice to have a few options. March 2, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good Shoes I decided to purchase these lifting shoes because I had started to lose flexibility while squatting. I always did squats bare foot but in the last year, my knees had started to get sore. So decided to invest in lifting shoes that provided a slight heel to aid in my lifting. Pros: 1. Great quality. 2. Very stable. The heel provides just the right amount of elevation. Cons: 1. A little too narrow. I have large bunions on both feet. So the snug fit causes my feet to start hurting if I wear these shoes too long. Since I only use them for squats, this is not really an issue for me. April 16, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Amazing shoe for Oly lifts Coming from an older version of the Power Lift trainer, these are much better quality with a lot better features. A little narrow in the toe box but not a problem for me since I have small feet. Highly recommended if serious about oly lifts and powerlifting. May 3, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very impressed For me this was my first pair of lifting shoes and I'm definitely impressed. I needed a shoe to use for crossfit to work on my Oly lifts on off nights. I had a habit of always ending up on my toes. With these shoes I feel locked to the ground. I can feel a noticeable difference and I'm completely satisfied with the results. June 14, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 Phenomenal Shoes I've been weightlifting for ten years and always though WL shoes were a non-essential. Wow, what an immediate difference. It's like being glued to the floor. All the stability stuff people talk about is absolutely true. This is not a subtle difference, people. These shoes are extremely well made and fit me very well without overheating. I recommend them highly to anyone serious about acquiring strength. I usually wear a 10.5 but needed to size down to 10 for proper fit. December 20, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by First time purchase Olympic lifting for CF workouts, but still noticed a huge difference in stability with these shoes. They are tight fitting throughout the entire shoe but not uncomfortable. It literally feels as if your heels are drilled into the ground. Great shoe if you're planning on purchasing a new set of lifting shoes. I wear 10 for just about everything and purchased a 10 for these and they fit well. Any smaller and they would be pretty uncomfortable from what I can tell. December 8, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome Bought these for powerlifting and love them. Great for squatting, forces you to push the ground. Also like them for bench, the heal I find gives me a little lift for my arch. I heard some complaints about deads, but I haven't had any issues with conventional pulls, will still do sumo barefoot though. Make sure to get 1/2 size smaller than your running shoes. All around I love these shoes. In the words of one of the people at my gym "man those kicks are fly." February 26, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 perfect I wear an 11 1/2, and consider my feet a little on the wide side. These shoes fit perfectly and I'm already seeing a dramatic improvement in my form and lift performance. November 28, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great shoes! This pair of shoes has a lot to offer and will make any lifting experience a great one; weather your style is crossfit, olympic, or powerlifting these will surely not disappoint and are well worth the cost. Pros: -Nonslip base, foot feels glued to floor -Mid-foot strap for extra security and tightness -Rock solid, non compacting base -Heel area is strong and fits like a glove, no more rolled ankles -Nonslip neoprene tongue -Allow for better mobility and help encourage better form / depth on squatting movements Cons: -Only one color option, is unique though -laces can run a little short, mildly difficult for those with bigger hands -Toe box can be a tad tight if you have a wide foot....I wear a ~2E and they've expanded just enough for a good fit March 5, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best purchase ever They stole the words from my brain... this really is the best purchase ever! Well, my Stan Smith's are perfect for everyday wear... love those too.. but when it comes time to snatch, clean and jerk, and squat squat squat, these shoes REIGN KING! Easily the most stable I have ever been with a barbell. That alone inspires confidence, which, in turn, makes you lift that much better. I have wanted these shoes for a long long time and when I finally had the money to get them, there was no hesitation. Sizing was true and the same 10.5 that has fit me perfectly for as long as I have been wearing adidas shoes (over half my life). Yes, they are slightly narrow but nothing I can't handle. That extra bit of narrowness locks the foot in place. The tongue does not move a millimeter. I wear them with the uppermost lace hole unlaced, with it laced it restricts my ankle flexibility. This did not effect the overall wear of the shoe, though. I can not express just how great this shoe is! I use them ONLY for lifting... no crossfit upside down nonsense for these bad-boys. Save that for other shoes... these are pure-breds and belong on the platform performing oly lifts. Thanks for the great shoe! November 13, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Awesome shoes Awesome shoes. Great quality. Used for Olympic and power lifts for rep maxed in crossfit wods. Shoe should be purchased for serious lifters. And for people who bar narrow feet. Wide feet beware! I wear a size 6 in the Adidas sambas and ordered the same size only to find out it didn't fit. So I ordered a 1/2 size up. It's perfectly! December 14, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Outstanding! These weightlifting shoes are by far the best I have purchased. Has helped me in increasing my weight in squatting and gives very good support with the higher than the norm heal. Helps you form tipping forward while trying to keep your chest up in the lift. Use for CrossFit when lifting. Very popular at "the Box". January 26, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best money I've spent on the sport I am woman size 6 1/2 shoe so I got a size 5 in the men's adipowers and they fit perfectly. These are my first pair of weightlifting shoes and I am so happy I made this investment. Not only do they look amazing but you can feel a huge difference in your squat. Sleek and supportive. I love these! Highly recommend! February 13, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by pricey but best If you are looking for the best, this is it. Feels as if the ground is holding my feet in a vice grip. My Squat is more stable and I have reached a new PR. They are a little narrow, but you have to break them in. Anyways, this are not running shoes, you want them tight so you can plant a stable stance. January 2, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great investment ! I do competive lifting in high school and Jr Usa lifting out of season. i was looking t buy the best shoe that will help me improve my form in clean&jerk along with my snatch. with the stability and comfort of these shoes my technique improved drastically. Also, using these for back/front squatting is also a must! I refuse to squat without these on my feet. so overall, i highly reccomend these oly shoes if you are serious about weightlifting. ive had them for a bout 3 months now and they a very durable thus far. April 7, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Pleased with the result I bought these for my wife and myself. We were excited to try these as we had heard much positive about them. When we first put them on they were pretty stiff and very snug. I have wide feet and that was a concern of mine. We now have worn them for two weeks and they still have a solid support but have adjusted to our feet. We were nervous at first but are now pleased about our purchase and in fact, we both just PR'ed in our back squat last Monday. Of course we give some credit to our new shoes! Happy lifting. April 10, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by THE weightlifting shoe I'd tried cheaper ones, but I'll tell you, these shoes are the JAM. Weightlifting shoes, you're often told, need to be sized smaller than your normal shoe size or whatever - not at all. The size was the size. Snug, but then again weightlifting shoes are supposed to be that way, and supposed to be broken in. I am a split cleaner, split snatcher and split snatcher - and though your feet are anchored like magnets through your pulls, you can still move them rapidly if you move to a split, like I do. Toes a bit stiff, but they're still new. They will break in beautifully. IMMEDIATELY added kgs to my lifts just by having them on. And the strap is industrial grade, unlike other shoes I've tried. VERY recommended for Olympic weightlifting. NOTE: my info to the right - why can you only say "conditioning for another sport?" I do weightlifting TO DO weightlifting. It IS a sport. December 4, 2012

Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome buy I had the old grey/black/red adidas before this, I ordered the same size and they fit perfectly. Much more stable feeling and more comfortable. I would say order the same size as prior adidas WL models or your dress shoe, I buy 11's in running shoes and 9.5's here. February 22, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very happy! I am very satisfied with these Adipower shoes. As a powerlifter, stability and confidence are king when doing squats. The stability and confidence that these shoes give cannot be explained without trying them. I have wide feet. I strongly recommend trying on a pair of adidas in a sporting goods store prior to buying. My friend recommended this and it worked great. They do fit true to size and feel very solid (snug by design). I have no doubt that these shoes will last for a very long time. The fire engine red also makes for a very loud statement in your gym. These shoes mean business. My weight lifting partner and I both have these shoes and we are the only ones in our gym that have them. I have used them 3 times for squatting and my confidence and strength have clearly improved. I also use them when I do push press. I really noticed a difference on this exercise as well. While the price is somewhat prohibitive, they are well worth the money. My only comment is that optional colors would be nice. The red is good, but blue or yellow would allow for some further individuality. December 20, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love this shoes I'm a crossfiter and was looking at a shoe that would help me with some difficult movements, like snatch and overhead squat. This shoes are perfect! I love them February 1, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by New Adidas Shoes This is my 6th pair of lifting shoes over my 30 yrs of competitive lifting in PL and OL. This is the first time, I have put on a pair of shoes that felt right on the first time wearing them. Heel is great, feel supportive, and will switch over to use them over the next few weeks, while getting ready for Masters Weightlifting Nationals. Good Job adidas!! Hope to wear them on the World stage at the Masters World Games in Turino Italy in AUG 2013!!! February 17, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 Great Shoes! I'm fairly new to weightlifting and my coach suggested that I get a pair of quality weightlifting shoes. These looked pretty good so I had some shipped from the US to Australia (they aren't available in Australia). They fit great, and feel good on. They certainly make it feel like I've got a good stable connection with the floor. I train with them once or twice a week. They are well constructed and are certainly eyecatching. April 23, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by 1st pair of Weightlifting Shoes- Very Impressed! High Quality, well made, sturdy pair of lifting shoes. Initially they weren't that comfortable, but after the 3rd or 4th time breaking them in, they feel great. They feel solid and I can definitely feel the difference when squatting, snatching and other Olympic lifts. I wasn't happy about only being able to try them on after purchasing them because no store carries them locally. Overall I'm a happy camper. May 10, 2013

Rated 1 out of 5 by Shoe is too narrow! Get a wider width! I don't understand why this shoe isn't available in a wider width. It seems like a quality shoe and I like the design however when I received my order it was much too narrow. I'm surprised that other options aren't available. I would not expect a one width fits all from such a large company. February 28, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Solid and stable Just purchased so I'm not sure how they'll hold up in the long run, but the feel great, look great and make a difference...particularly when catching the clean and snatch. Foot stabilization is totally taken care of by the shoe. That being said, it might be a good idea to save them for competition and max lifts so as to train yourself to stabilize the foot on your own. Very comfortable. Great fit. February 13, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very Well Designed They run small, so I ordered a full size larger than my usual. They were still snug because I have very wide feet--4E. Very quickly, though, they stretched to fit comfortably. I'm left with a very solid pair of shoes with tight heel, strong arch support, and snug lace/strap adjustment. I liked the old Adistar model a lot, but this is better on almost every dimension. December 12, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by great but narrow Great shoe, but like many other reviews (and as I feared) they are not for wider feet. I can tell they are very well made and hoped that they would let loose a bit and fit me better but after 2 weeks I decided to pass them on. Going to go with a different shoe. It's a shame because I really like the Adidas brand but these are really small in the arch and the toe bed. February 18, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by adipower weightligting shoes Very nice shoes.. superb durability.. Could have made them more cushioned but just insert a soft shoe sole from walmart...lol. If you have wide feet, I recommend getting them 1/2 inch bigger because they are kind of narrow from the front.. not really a con,, but I wished they could have made the sole a bit more comfortable for those who have sensitive knees... May 12, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great for deadlifting/Squats I'm a pretty serious weightlifter/bodybuilder and these make squatting easy by giving you a solid grounding! Get them if you are serious about working out. March 13, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Simply amazing They look so good there so stable and tough, durable what more can you ask for. Everything Adidas makes is just perfect every time. December 13, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good Shoe! Took a workout to break them in, like the taller heel more stable in the snatch and clean. Not made for walking or doing other sports, made for lifting, I put them on at the gym because the fit is made for just squating and setting up for the classic lifts. Size is right on, if you are a 10 get a 10, 9.5 then 9.5. Good looking shoe and people notice it. May 16, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by The Ferrari of weightlifting shoe. I just want to talk about the sizing, I ordered two pair of these shoes, I got a size 9 and 8 1/2, I took them to the gym, I squat on both shoes and decided to keep the 8 1/2, I'm a naturally 9, all my regular shoes is 9, I just like the feeling of how snug the 81/2 on my feet. And this shoes is probably the best weightlifting shoe money can buy. February 10, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Lifting Shoe Great oly shoe. Would 100% recommend sizing to a snug fit, same as you would were your typical athletic shoe. This shoe is specifically designed for Oly lifting only, and you will not be running or doing any lateral movement in them. That said, for stationary lifts (squats, dead-lifts, snatch, clean, and jerks) want to have a snug fit. April 29, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent for squats Shoes arrived quick. I ordered 1/2 size smaller because of other reviews. I don't advise it and I have a wide foot. Besides that, if your powerlifting believe me that foot is going nowhere. Once you set your feet it's like their in concrete. That's what you want. Plenty of support. Expensive but worth it. Wish they were black. May 2, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by awesome shoes I've been doing crossfit for about 7 months now, and have started to get more serious about it recently so i decided to get lifting shoes. This is my first pair and boy are they pretty. the first time i put them on i felt like my feet were bolted to the ground. I immediately PR'd my deadlift by 10lbs, these shoes are awesome! Rated 5 out of 5 Nice Oly shoes Weightlifting for about 1 yr. started off in Do-wins which weren't bad. Decided to step up the training and purchased the adipowers. They are solid, well made, and a good fit. They feel 10 times more solid and stable than my Do-Wins. Definitely would recommend these if you are weightlifting on a regular basis! November 22, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Second pair of oly shoes, in love These are my second pair of oly shoes. My first pair were the power perfects 2, the adipowers hav a lot more arch support and I love the tight fit of the shoes make me feel more stable on the catch of the clean and snatch. I absolutely love these shoes, I bought them half size smaller and they fit perfectly. February 4, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Shoes Being a personal trainer, I knew the benefits of weightlifting shoes. However, when I put them on, I felt like a different person. I was able to squat more and actually look forward to working out now as opposed to before. Performing Olympic lifts have become much easier and efficient than before. May 10, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best training shoes i have had yet! the width on the shoe is abit narrow, but its allright, cus it helps you to get your foot locked in! any1 who squats/deadlifts/OHP alot should get themselves this pair of shoes! On size i just took my regular size in converse Allstars and took the same size on the Adipowers = Perfect fit! February 22, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Amazing This shoe fits like a glove. Although I haven't PR'd in them yet I know that I will. Construction is great, really helped me hold my form on squats. Rated 5 out of 5 by Great purchase Its very atypical for me to write a review on a product but the Adipowers are such an amazing shoe I had no choice. The shoe is remarkably solid and very well made. I am normally a size 14 and went with a 13 and they fit amazingly well. March 4, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Simply the best weightlifting shoe on the market The title says it all. This shoe provides the perfect heel lift and amazing support. A must have for any serious weightlifter. The only negative is for those with a wide foot. These shoes definitely tend to be on the narrow side. February 10, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great purchase! Went from lifting barefoot and now I'm never going back. My depth on squat has increased, as well as my clean/snatch form. If your like me and want to take a step to the next level, don't hesitate to buy. Well worth the money! April 11, 2012

Rated 5 out of 5 by Adipower Weightlifting Shoes a little tight in the width with anything but the thinnest sock. otherwise, a bomber shoe--was looking for a little more support for the olympic lifts. May 16, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Amazing shoes I have used a few different types of Oly shoes and these are by far the best. You are locked in place and so stable for your lifts, they are amazing. February 17, 2013

Rated 3 out of 5 by If it was only synthetic This shoe is an amazing weightlifting shoe. My only complaint is that they do not make a non-leather version of it. I hope one day they do. March 29, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by As Advertised The shoes are well made and provide a much better, stable foundation for the deadlift. The shoes are good for an additional 50 pounds. December 27, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Calling All Olympic Lifters No, i'm not an employee, no i'm not sponsored. I'm writing this for serious lifters out there. Shoe sizing: It fits true to your regular shoe size. I wear size 9 nike running shoes, and I ordered a size 9 pair, and they fit perfectly. NOTE: It'll be more than tight when you first wear it, let it break in for a couple of workouts. Quality: The shoe really provides a lot of stability and helps you stay upright if you're front or back squatting, cleaning or snatching. For the olympic lifts, it helps you stay more upright, allowing you to transfer your power more vertically, more efficiently. If you're doing deep back squats, the heel will help you stay upright - this doesn't mean you shouldnt skimp out on flexibility issues though! I used to do olympic lifts in sneakers, and my feet took a beating, there wasn't much shock absorption, but with the Adipower, you dont have to worry about bruising up your feet. Overall: Great stability, meant for olympic lifts and squatting. *CAN* be used for deadlifting (personal preference). I *FEEL* like if taken care of, these shoes will last for a years. You can really tell the quality when you feel them in person. April 17, 2013
