Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Lifting Shoe For the last 6 months, I've been borrowing a pair of the older Adidas Powerlift shoes from my coach for lifts at the gym (cleans, snatch, front/back squats, presses). It was time to get my own. I went with the Powerlift 2.0 based on the reviews of others and the price was right for my budget. The biggest thing I noticed right away doing squats was the solid footing it gave me. I really liked the feel and felt like I was able to press though the heels effectively. I wear a size 11 in everyday shoes, but ordered a 11 1/2 in the Powerlift shoes and they fit well. I wold definitely recommend these shoes to anyone looking for a good lifting shoe. December 30, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 Very Satisfied Just as you would expect from Adidas, this shoe is very comfortable. After going from running shoes to these I feel WAY more stable doing squats and deads. The fit is just right and I have somewhat wide feet. I really feel grounded when doing squats now. The heel wedge height feels just right. Since I work out at home on rubber flooring these babies will never leave the house and should last a long time as they feel to be very well constructed. By the way, I bought the red, white, and blue color scheme and they look great! If I did go to a gym I'm sure they'd be noticed :) May 30, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Lifting Shoe This is my first lifting shoe. I'm mostly squatting, dead lifting, and olympic lifting. We are in a strength cycle at the Crossfit Box I go to. The shoes run true to size, my foot is perfectly between an 8 and 8.5 so an 8 is too small and 8.5 just a tad bit too big. Either way though, they fit great and really have a solid platform to lift in. They definitely take some time getting used to as I lifted in five fingers before this. As any lifting shoe, they angle your foot so your heel is slightly higher than your toes. Getting used to this was hard, but I just pushed through and squatted a ton and now it feels very natural to lift in these. February 21, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Squat Shoes! I checked these shoes out after looking at the adipowers. Definitely got what I wanted out of it for half the price! ( $100 vs $200) I am able to hit my depth on squats easier in my opinion. In addition, I feel my trunk is staying upright instead of leaning forward during heavier sets. So for the reason I bought them, very satisfied. ( before I wore chucks ) As for how it fits, my foot is between a 10 1/2 and an 11. My feet are WIDE. I went with the size 11 and it fits very well. No discomfort whatsoever after wearing for an entire workout. Very stable and by how it feels and looks, quality wise, these seem they will last a long time. July 17, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great shoes to squat in I was looking for good Oly lifting shoes. These are a good starters for the price. I like the fact that they stabilize my feet a lot when I squat and then I can focus more on the power. I have tried doing Oly lifting in them and it helps there too. Gives me great stability. However I haven't been very confident about doing the split jerk in them. Its just that Im used to doing that in very flexible shoes. Also, I got one size smaller and they were too tight but then I was too excited and worked out in them anyways. Now that they've been broken into, This size feels perfect very snug and sturdy. I don't feel that its too tight anymore. March 23, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Outstanding Performance I purchased two pair of the Powerlift 2.0 for myself and son a couple weeks ago. The order was promptly received and well packaged. The shoes arrived in perfect condition, and all that we expected. We have worn our shoes now for five workouts so far and love them. These are a perfect shoe for squats and general workout use. We purchased the shoes based on our dress shoe size and they fit perfectly. My shoes felt a little snug when I first wore them and thought I should have increased the shoe by a half size. My foot is a bit wide, his more narrow. However, the shoe will conform to your foot within a couple workouts so don't be concerned. I would highly recommend these shoes to anyone that trains seriously. November 7, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Squat low sweet chariots Was skeptical at first but undoubtedly an awesome shoe for squatting. The flat sole and hard cuff on the shoe provide much appreciated stabilization for the knees under heavier loads. The grip is awesome, theres no moving them after you plant your feet. All around great shoe. My only complaint is that the picture shown doesn't accurately portray the shoe. The picture shows them having a solid red strap (I got the blk/red ones) but they actually have a pattern like the blue model. June 2, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Amazing shoe This was my first pair of oly style lifting shoes and I instantly felt a huge difference in stability on my squats. With these I am able to hit atg depth with no problem. These things look amazing in person too. I got the blue ones and let me tell you they look way better in person, pictures dont do it justice. I personally like these 2.0 versions way better, cooler colors and style I think. I have a little bit wider feet than normal but these feel true to size and are nice and snug, not tight but really snug. May 31, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Shoe I have weight lifted/trained for the last 3 years using a minimal sole shoe, rotating from Vibram 5 Fingers to Reebok Nanos depending on my workout. I had used both of the shoes to do Olympic lifting. I purchased these shoes for the sole purpose of olympic lifts and squats, and these do not disappoint. My feet feels very secure during each rep, not to mention that I feel as if I can get lower on my squats and catch positions with these. I highly recommend these shoes for weightlifting, however, they do feel heavy and have very little traction on the bottom, so don't think these will be great with running and/or intervals. Rated 5 out of 5 by Love them. So, olympic power-lifitng is somewhat new to me. I've been a trainer for a long time and have been into cross training for years. Trying these shoes out for my olympic power-lifting was a great idea. I've heard good things and once I saw the black, red & white ones, I had to have them. I even felt much more stable doing air squats as I was warming up. Today I PR'd my cleans and I'm very happy overall with this shoe. I hope they last the test of time and I'll definitely be back for more when the time comes. May 6, 2014
