Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent I was planning on buying the GSG9.2 boots based on great reviews, but really didn't want the tall. I had checked a couple of weeks ago (Early May, 2012), and noticed the desert boots, but at the time they were only in tan. I needed black because I am in law enforcement. I checked again at the end of May and saw they now came in black as well. I received them fast and have been using them for several days now. They are by far the most comfortable boot I have ever worn, and that's seven years in the army and 12 years in law enforcement talking. I usually wear inserts, but with these boots I didn't need to. Being in the military I am all too familiar with all different kinds of boots, these take the cake. I originally bought the black ones for my civilian job as private security but after wearing these boots I recently just ordered the tan ones so I can be comfortable even on duty with the military! I would highly recommend these boots to anyone and everyone. October 26, 2012

Service: 1-The service employee on the phone stated "Can I AXE you a question?" I told him I didn't understand and I did not have an axe. He again stated "Can I axe you a question?". I told him I did not purchase an AXE. 2 - The shoe was one size smaller than ordered, but the box read the correct size. Right box, wrong shoe size. Had to re-order. January 1, 2013

I bought these boots primarily for motorcycle riding but I've barely taken them off since they arrived!! I have a wide foot and usually wear a 12.5, but that size was a little small for me, so I had to return them for a 13, which fit beautifully. I definitely recommend these boots!! January 6, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Boots are great Boots are great, very comfortable. Only complaint is one of the lace loops got torn after a week and a half. Still very comfortable. The tan boots just like these that I had bought are more of a high yellow not tan. Originally I bought the tan ones to wear for drills with the military until I arrived at drill and realized just how much they were out of regulation. If you love boots I will highly recommend these black boots! November 22, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Waited too long to get these boots I work in corrections and I'm on my feet pretty much all day long. The 9.7s soft leather made the break in period relatively short. Slipping them on at first was difficult (Due to Break In) but it is nothing to concern yourself with... The sole is like a running shoe with great traction especiallly when wet. You'll love the light weight of these boots as well.... April 9, 2013

I am a correctional officer and I spend all day on my feet, these shoes are light and provide great support to my feet as I walk or run. Rated 5 out of 5 by I ordered two sizes one for myself and one for my son. Mine fit great, very comfortable and they feel like a tennis shoe. My son wears a 14.5 so we tried the 14, the largest size they come in, fail! He couldn't get his foot in. The boot is to narrow for his large foot. Oh well, I love mine! May 10, 2013

Rated 4 out of 5 by best tactical assault boot, ever! I wore a pair of the original GSG9's while in the military - spec/ops; late 70's - early 80's. The GSG9's were light, comfortable and quality-made boots...the tread design used on the outsole was revolutionary. At the time, the GSG9's were the first and only boot in this style on the market. The only other boot worthy of consideration were the Viet Nam era jungle boots. I currently work in law enforcement and recently, purchased the second generation GSG9's and have found that they're truly better than the originals. Still comfortable...still light weight... ...everything that was good in the original boot and then some! Perfectly suited for patrol or swat. The GSG9's are a simple boot with no frills. The money is in the quality workmanship, design and materials. Adidas has always "lead the way" in custom assault boots... I rated these boots with 4 stars because, to me, very little that's manmade is ever perfect. Adidas tends to make a narrower shoe/boot and I have a wide foot. Until they're properly broken-in the GSG9's are a little tight on me. Neets foot oil in large amounts helps to soften the leather and helps to get my feet past the break-in stage. recommendation: Adidas could get around the sizing issue by opening a U.S. factory with U.S. sizing instead of european sizing.
