i have been athletic since i was a kid, ended up playing rugby for my high school team. during a game, i had the lovely experience of blowing my knee out. being only 17 at the time, the doctors were really nervous about operating because i was still growing. i have had to wear a knee brace ever since, untill 3 days ago. i found these shoes over a year ago, and had been debating on buying them, but i went ahead and spent the money. i have NOT had to wear a knee brace since i bought the shoes. i walk with ease, no pain. a very natural feeling mechanic's when walking and running. i have always bought Adidas, and i will continue for the rest of my life.

This my third pair of Adipure Lace Trainers, and I am a huge fan. I purchased the first version of the lace trainers, and now I have the new 1.1 version. Much improvement over the previous model. I like the tie up strings versus the old draws string. The new shoes has better contruction but maintained the flexiblity that I like from the previous model. I did find that the Injinly toes sock make the shoe more comfortable. I would go bare foot in the previous model, where as the new model didn't feel as good without the toe socks. Once I put on socks, they were awesome.

I've had a chance to go through a few workouts with the new lace trainers, and there are many improvements over the previous model.
First, the shoe is more flexible across the foot and has more material devoted to the sole. So there is a better 'barefoot' feel to the new model. Since I use these for strength training/everyday use, they are definitely more comfortable, yet sturdier. I do not run in these shoes.
Second, the thicker sole makes this model a bit more waterproof. The other version was a thinner sole and if you went out in the rain, or stepped in a puddle, the water would seep in. This model restricts that more, but not fully.
The fit is not too snug, but the laces help tighten up the shoe. I am an 11.5 US, but I wear a 12 and it feels fine. I think you can go actual size/half size bigger and be ok with either. I also wear Injinji toe socks with the shoes.
The laces are way too long and I double knot them, but it's not a huge issue.
Overall this is the best 'toe shoe' from Adidas that I have gotten. Each new version seems to have addressed any issue from the previous ones. If you like barefoot trainers, go with these.

product looks great, however, when you put your fingers inside the 'barefoot shoe' it is too tight and the sew hurts (at least for this one), I have ordered one, sent back (thought could be a factory defect, or poor quality control) so order another one... Exact same problem.
shoe suppose to be comfortable and this one it is not, regrettably.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Boston Irish Brawler Adipure Lace Trainer Most comfortable shoes ever
I feel like I am running with no sneakers on like I do at the Gym. They are so comfortable and very light and flexible. The sneakers have increase the muscle in my feet and legs in-turn they greatly improve my balance and agility. great traction, lightweight, fits true to size, good arch support, very comfortable, good cushioning, and I would recommend.

I wear these shoes when I weight lift, on my squat and deadlift days , and I have to say they are amazing, I don't know how but they allow me to lift heavier, which is awesome, I love them.

These shoes did not work for me because of the shape of my foot. I recommend trying these on in a store before purchasing.
