Rated 3 out of 5 by Decent Lifestyle Shoe The Good: Very durable. Rather comfortable. Moderate arch support. Lower profile feels very stable with no ankle roll. Stays white with a bleach-based bathroom cleanser and toothbrush. The Bad: Suede overlay gets dirty fast. Rest of shoe is synthetic, including the tongue which squeaks loudly with every step, and this does not go away after time. Not a performance shoe in any way. It's heavy and stiff, and slows you down considerably in sports. Toe box is tight when new, but loosens over time. Bottom Line: Recommended if you want a soccer-themed lifestyle shoe that will hold up for years to come and don't mind shoes that squeak. May 31, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Can't Complain This is the second time I've purchased this shoe, and the first pair just eventually wore down the heel from use. It's a comfortable shoe, fits well, and does a great job if you use it for soccer as well. I have a strange need to always be prepared for a soccer ball in case it rolls my way, despite living in NYC. Few things I've noticed with these shoes though. 1) the laces need to be double knotted or they untie. 2) the tongue always slides a bit to the side, never stays perfectly on top. 3) the heel of my last pair unglued and the rubber sole could be pulled off a bit from the back. 4) if you wear low cut socks, breaking them in will hurt your heel. The back of the shoe really tore me a few blisters while I broke them in. September 16, 2011
Rated 3 out of 5 by decent shoe adidas says this is an indoor soccer shoe but it really is not. for one, it is way to heavy, and two, the material isnt the best for soccer. otherwise, this shoe is pretty much good for everything else, it is really comfortable, classy, and breathable. overall though, stick with the original sambas July 31, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Classic shoe for the modern game The updated version of the Samba does away with the cumbersome tongue but otherwise retains the classic design of the original shoe. The leather isn't as soft as what you get from top of the line outdoor cleats (or expensive indoor ones), but it stretches and molds to your foot just fine after a few wears. The biggest concern with these shoes is the weight. They weigh in at about a pound, so they're definitely heavy. What you get in return is a boot offering excellent protection as well as stability. These offer a solid touch on the ball, and allow you to attain a stronger strike due to the added weight. Many of the lighter indoor designs I've seen are starting to incorporate mesh into the shoe; this is fine if you want to sprint the entire time, but that material does nothing to replicate the touch you get from the leather in these shoes. Overall, the classic design has stood the test of time and remains a good option for indoor play; the price tag only makes it a better bargain for the money. February 8, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Careful with sizing. First pair was too small, returned and ordered larger size (I am worried they are too small as well, but I already wore them). Trying to break them in, but the heels are tearing me up. I wear an 11 1/2 and 12 in most shoes, the 12 were too small and the 12 1/2 are still tight. You may want to order 1 full or 1 1/2 size up. Rated 5 out of 5 by Samba Millennium These shoes just seem indestructible. I have had these shoes for quite some time and they are in great condition. The construction of the shoe is quality. These shoes are tough, comfortable and look great. I do not wear these for soccer, but I like them as everyday comfortable shoes! September 11, 2011
Rated 3 out of 5 by painful great looking shoes however, very painful break in period. blisters not on my heal but on achilles tendon. After several times of wearing the shoes, getting better but still uncomfortable. I have formal shoes more comfortable than these. Also laces are satin like and don't always stay tied. Rated 5 out of 5 by Often imitated - never duplicated Extremely pleased with the style and comfort. The suede leather does wear off quickly, but by then the shoes themselves are as comfortable as bedroom slippers and they still retain the classic style. September 9, 2011
