Rated 4 out of 5 by NOT overly cushioned In short: the Boost Seq7 runs like a lighter weight motion control shoe. Very secure and not very cushioned. I've run in the Seq7 4 times since getting them 2 weeks ago. I also run in pairs of Seq6 and Seq5. The Seq7 is the lightest, and best fitting, but LEAST cushioned of these. Adidas has dropped the weight big-time from the Seq5 and fixed the sloppy/loose heel issue with the Seq6 but the switch from Adiprene+ to Boost makes the shoe LESS cushioned underfoot. As a larger runner, I was hoping for just the opposite. June 11, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Sequence Upgrade!! I've read some of the so-so reviews about this shoe. Some people were expecting a more cushier shoe, similar to the Energy Boosts. I would argue that the Boost Sequence 7's are the quintessential stability shoe. They are durable, light (for a stability shoe), breathable, and have great cushioning. Yes, great cushioning. The stability mechanism in the Sequence 7's are great for overpronators and promotes a great stride, the more you're out there on the road, the more you notice the Sequence 7's great cushioning. Your feet feels refreshed! If you're looking for a great shoe that highlights the Boost superior cushioning, THEN PURCHASE THE ADISTAR BOOSTS. If you're looking for a stability workhorse trainer, similar to the neutral Supernova Boost Glide 6's, then these shoes are the ones to get. I love them for my 10 mile and up runs. The Sequence 7's are officially a part of my running shoe stable. These are the best Sequences since the Sequence 5's, which are my all time faves. July 20, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Decent I thought the boost foam would soften up a shoe a bit more. It's still a pretty stiff, clunky shoe like past versions. Stability is still there, but the bounce is not anything like the other Boost shoes. I have a narrowish, but medium width foot, but this shoe fits pretty snug through the midfoot. The upper isn't as comfortable as it could be. The plastic eyelets are a little harsh. Seems durable though... The laces are really long. All-in-all, I am glad the the shoe is a bit lighter and it does feel smoother than previous versions, but just still feels too clunky to me. I had higher hopes for the shoe since I loved the Energy Boost, but need something with stability. Probably not a shoe I'll buy again. July 8, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Boo I am really disappointed in the color offerings of all of the recent shoes Adidas has been putting out... I like BRIGHT shoes. These are all so boring. And why are colors so gender specific- i have to wear mens shoes becasue womens shoes are ALWAYS too narrow and I don't want pink. But all colors should be offered for all shoes regardless of the pink/purple is for girls... blue is for boys nonsense. Its 2014. Get with it. July 24, 2014
