Rated 5 out of 5 by One of the best shoes I've had First of all, a little bit of background. I am a 10K recreational runner, and from time to time I would do up to a 10Mi run. Most of the time I run out on a trail with very few treadmill runs. Also I have some runner knee problems on the left leg and I use orthotics. This condition requires me to use running shoes who offer good support and reduce the impact on my legs while running. Some of the shoes I've tried feel really hard, but these ones feel so comfortable and the materials are top of the line. I took them for several runs and they offer great support and cushioning. I've had no pain or problems at all with them so far! Aside from the comfort, the shoes look and feel great! The materials are very resistant, I've had them for a couple of weeks and they look great (I do clean the dirt after each run). Also, I like to do max interval training, and I've taken these shoes to the gym and the response is just as good! I don't get any chaffing and my feet feel great after taking them off. If you like to do different kinds of drills and are a passionate runner who wouldn't mind some extra comfort while doing so, then you should get this pair of shoes! As a note, you should order half size up for great fit. February 25, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Worth the price. Review of the Adidas Energy Boost. I did not know what to expect when I received these shoes. They were not out yet, so when I opened the box my first reaction was one of surprise when I saw how good these look. I proceeded to try them on, and noticed something unusual. There are only 4 pairs of eyelets for the shoelaces. That seemed a little strange to me, especially for a performance shoe, in which you expect to have a customized fit. As soon as I finished tying the shoelaces I understood why there are only 4. The upper part of the shoe is made of a material that compresses your feet, in a good way. I guess a way to describe how they feel is kind of like a performance running sock, with a major difference. These shoes, despite hugging your feet, are extremely comfortable. I have read online that the most remarkable feature about these shoes is the breakthrough technology of the sole material, and I will get to that in a minute, but to me the upper materials are just as extraordinary. I am very particular with how my shoes fit. In running shoes, I like the fit to be snug but I have to be able to wiggle my toes. What’s amazing about the material they have developed is that it hugs your feet but at the same time you have considerable freedom of movement. I also thought that the material might give in and be less supportive after some use, but that has not happened yet. They are as supportive as the day I first tried them on. And then there is the midsole. Wow. It looks like Styrofoam, but it is obvious that this material is very different from what is used in all the shoes I have worn before. Two characteristics are worth mentioning. First, the cushioning it provides. Whether I was walking or running, it felt like I was on clouds. This made for a very comfortable, forgiving ride. And then there is the recoiling action of the material. When you impact the ground, the shoes rebound as if you were jumping on a trampoline. The combined effect is a very positive one. So those are the positives. The shoe is not perfect, of course. I do not have wide feet, and still the tongue of the shoe let my socks show because it is not wide enough. The sides of the tongue have a zigzagging shape. Because of this, parts of my socks showed through. It is not a lot, but still. One way for this not to be an issue is to wear socks of the same color as the shoes. In my case, the shoes are black, so with black socks this is not a problem. Another thing I would change is the color of the midsole. I have never been a fan of white midsoles, because while they might look good when they are new, I find it works against them after you wear them a few times. I understand why these shoes have a white midsole, though. I am pretty sure it is so that we can see the new material. I just hope they make these with darker-colored soles in the future. So the question to me is, Are these worth the $150 Adidas is asking for? To me, the answer is yes. These are, by far, the best running shoes I have tried. Whether you spend this much on a pair of athletic shoes depends on whether you want to have the very best there is. If you are serious about your running or about how comfortable your sneakers need to be, then yes, these are totally worth it. You are basically paying a $20-30 premium to have the very best. Full disclosure: I was given these shoes by Adidas to try them and write a review. They specifically asked me to be sincere and not to artificially embellish the review. I do not work for Adidas, and actually was quite surprised that they chose me to review these. February 24, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by These Shoes Are Unfair I feel like I'm cheating the system and being allowed to wear a product that gives me an unfair advantage. The first time I put them on I thought I was jumping on tiny trampolines that followed my feet around. The cushioning is unlike any other shoe I've ever worn and that's including shoes that I've put cushioned insoles in. I just hope they stay this bouncy for as long as they claim to. The price, initially seems like way too much for what you think is just another running shoe, but I'll tell you it is more than justified. Worth every penny. A million thumbs up. An outstanding product. Thanks, Adidas. Well done! March 6, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Energy Boost Shoes review The heel of the shoe is cushioned and the shoe becomes more responsive through the mid-sole and stiff in the toe region. You will notice this could potentially be a sock less shoe. The tongue is attached to the sides and is seamless, very nice. Good arch support. I think this would be good for running 10 miles or less. You could run more, but this is my opinion. Adidas got it right with the top cloth and how it wraps around the foot. The toe box does raise some concern as it sorta/barely touched my toes. Again, good for 5/10k stuff but marathons... maybe. Very comfortable. If you are a heel striker and like a low drop shoe, you will love this. March 15, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Exceeded Expectations I have been searching quite a while trying to find a running shoe that was both light and comfortable. Enter the Adidas Energy Boost. This shoe is the perfect mix of weight and comfort. I couldn't believe how much cushion they provided when I first tried them on. I felt like I was bouncing up and down in these shoes. Running in them is fantastic. My legs feel notably less fatigued than usual. In addition they fit like a glove (gave me zero blisters) and took no time at all to break in. I must admit that I never tried running in Adidas before this. I have used Nike, Asics, and Brooks in the past but from now on these Adidas are my go to running shoes. March 17, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best Shoes I've Ever Run In! The title is my review. I'm not going to get all techical here, all I have to say is over the past 21 years I've run in a lot of different running shoes (I have 5 pairs going rght now!# and the Boost is by far the best ever. Out of the box I took them out for 8.5 hilly miles at a good clip and I was in heaven. And for all of the rest of the running shoe companies that are knocking out 4mm heel drop shoes left and right #you know who you are) you can stick em! We're talking 10mm! Aside from the cushioning, no seams and perfect fit that alone makes this a great shoe! I'm clearly not a fan of flat running shoes. Buy the Boost! March 31, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Like running on a cloud I had the privilege of trying these shoes before they were released, so after a few weeks of use I can recommend them highly. They're the lightest running shoes I've ever owned and my feet can tell. The best part is that the decreased weight does not come at the expense of comfort and support; the foam soles perform just as well as thicker/heavier soles. Not to mention, the Boost's futuristic new look matches its technological advances. A note on sizing: my 'true' size is 11, but I buy 11.5 to adjust for swelling when I run. I received my trial Boost pair in 11.5, and in normal-thickness socks it felt a bit tight. With thinner socks, however, it fit just right. March 3, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Big man runner This shoe was a game changer for me. I have large feet (size 15) so finding a comfortable lightweight running shoe is very difficult. I fell in love with the fabric upper sock which I found super comfortable and breathable. The toe-box area is very nice. I usually find shoes that are more narrow and as my mileage increases, my toes become numb, but these were much roomier and allowed me to comfortably run more miles. I was a little nervous to switch to these shoes having ran in the Supernova Glide, but they have now been replaced by the Energy Boost. February 27, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Too much drop I love the new sole material and the upper. The shoes were very comfortable. There is quite a bit of drop from heel to toe. I run about 25-30 miles a week and will do a 5k in a zero or near zero drop shoe. I do most of my running in a structured cushioning shoe, but one with less drop from heel to toe. Running 6-8 mile runs in the energy boost I have had some soreness in my knees that I don't have with shoes with less drop I would love a pair with less drop then could see 5 stars. If your current shoe has a fair amount of drop I would gives these a try. If you prefer a zero or low drop shoe, this one is not for you. April 7, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Energy Boost Shoes After having the boost for a while now, and being a loyal consumer since 1993 starting with the Response Trails and working myself into the Supernovas and now the Boost. I Think I can Honestly say that These are the Best shoes I've had that I did not have to Break In as much. All positive things about this shoes. Only One negative: I wish I had waited for the second version. The upper mesh because of the closeness of the toes to toe ratio, I have a hole where my big toe is on my right shoe. The rest of the shoe is in excellent condition but a shoe for this price should not be falling apart. Too expensive for the shoe to be taring. July 12, 2013

Rated 2 out of 5 by Not that impressed I was initially excited to be trying a new running, and thought these shoes would be a step up from by Adidas Glide 4. But, I have so far been disappointed. I believe this shoe is designed for individuals with narrow feet, and who suffer from extreme heel strikes when running. I run mostly on my mid-foot and forefoot, and cannot stand the way this shoe fits when I run. I prefer a bit more structured upper, and not so much looseness. The shoe is so narrow that the shoe feels as though the seams are about to break. I would not recommend this shoe, and believe it has been over-hyped. April 23, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by New runners I was surprised when I opened them..the styrofoam jumps out at you along with the thin bottom layer. I immediately wondered how long will these last. Yes they look cheap. And for $150 or so they were not. On to the fit..they feel like putting your foot in a rubber bootie. If you have ever been diving or snorkeling these shoes are made from the same rubber elastic material. As far as performance they are actually pretty good so far. Again I've run in them for just two weeks now but they feel ok. Support is lacking but overall comfort is there. I don't know that I would buy them again. for the same price. IMO they are more in the $75 price range. April 12, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Fit! I haven't had the chance to run in them yet so I am only reviewing the fit and feel of the shoes so far. I was a little concerned after reading reviews that I might have ordered shoes that would be too small for my feet. As a size 13 its hard to buy shoes here in Japan so ordering is the way to go. Other reviews and the webpage for the shoes even said to order a half size up, but as a13 the next size up is 14. I wasn't comfortable ordering a whole size up for a running shoe. Long story short, perfect size for my size 13 feet. The cushioning is amazing and I am looking forward to my first outdoor run of the spring with these shoes. March 25, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Worth the try I have been an Nike loyalist for many years. I was willing to give these shoes a shot since they were offered to me to demo. I hit the treadmill usually twice a day, I found these to offer good support and some spring to my step. My feet often get fatigued by the end of an hour and I would say that since wearing the shoes that occurs less. Nothing a shoe will cure, but it helped. Definitely order a half size up, I was skeptical but glad I did! Good work on this shoe Adidas. February 24, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Shoe! I am a female who wears men's shoes for the extra width due to the problems with my feet, neuromas and planters fasciitis. Despite having neuroma surgery on both feet, I'm still having pain and burning. I have a hard time changing shoes and finding shoes that work with my issues. I run an average of 15-20 miles per week and these shoes are great! My legs feel like I never even ran when I'm done. I've had some of my best runs of my career with these shoes! I just shaved 1:30 off of my 5K personal best. Amazing! Although my neuroma continues to bother me, my PF seems to be getting better. I did go a full size up to give me a bit more width, since it is a narrower shoe. April 24, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very good shoe These shoes are very nice. Very light weight and comfortable. I ran multiple times with these shoes and did standard weight workouts with them as well to break them in. The light weight and spongy soul make it very easy to run on all terrains. I also used them in the P90X Plyometric workout (jump training) that I do for some extra cardio work and the shoes are very springy for the workouts where you are leaving your feet quite often. The light weight feel for that type of workout makes it feel almost barefoot. I would definitely recommend these shoes to runners. February 22, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by best shoe I have had in a long time Awesome material, you can tell there is technology put in this shoe, great fit and love the spring system that runs under the shoe just wish it was made more for a 200 lbs person like me. 6'1" 230 lbs 12% BF into running , cross training and MMA September 12, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by great shoes 40 year old, 6'1" 195 lbs, running about 20 miles/week. Switched from Supernova glides- finding this shoe to be a great cushion shoe for a neutral runner. Very light and nice comfort. sized the same as my supernova glides and found them to be a little narrower, but still ok/true-to-length. Only question will be how they hold up over the miles. Only drawback is paying $150 for these- so far they are proving to be quality shoes- but come on adidas- when will we stop the crazy inflation of the prices-it may make me choose other less expensive shoes in the future as this is my limit! Neutral runners looking for cushion shoe- give em a try. October 14, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by A great race shoe I recently purchased the energy boost after reading a review from runners world. I am so glad I looked over the price tag. I have run in these in 5K's, 10K's, & a half marathon as well as over 20 miles of training runs with this shoe. Each time I run I set new PR's from past races. They are very light even at a size 10-1/2 and still have cushioning that keeps down the wear & tear on the legs & knees. You DO have to remember to order up a half size from what you normally wear otherwise it will be too tight in the toe box & the top of the shoe will likely hurt the top of your foot. I am a slight overpronator & this shoes does not affect me. November 19, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by great shoe the idea of a bouncier foam intrigued me. the shoe is expensive but i decided to give it a shot. my initial reaction was that the shoe width feels kind of tight. i didn't want to get a size a half bigger so i went with my normal shoe size. since then, i do feel as if the shoe has broken in a little more and it doesn't bug me as much now. i did a two mile test run in these shoes to see how i'd like them and i think i'm in love. i've been battling shin splints and i always worry about re-injuring myself. i definitely feel like these shoes help with the impact. these shoes are also my go-to shoes for daily wear. it's like walking on clouds. Rated 5 out of 5 by Superior sole is worth the price Have run 100+ miles in these shoes now, including 21 miles today. Extremely impressed with the performance of the soles, would recommend for anyone to ditch their standard gel soles and get a pair of these. Easier on the joints. Wear and tear on soles so far appears minimal. The tops are OK, toe box is sufficiently spacious and material is flexible and comfortable, but my yellow shoes get a band of dirt in front of the first stripe so I'd recommend the darker shoes for that reason. The tongue could use some more padding, I am lacing the shoes a little bit loose as a consequence and that has worked for me. October 9, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Amazing Cushioning in a Lightweight Package My first impression is they look awesome!!! When I first tried them on they fit a little snug, but that seems to be the trend these days. They have a lower toe box which gives them more of a slipper feel. They have a great feel on the road though. Phenomenal cushioning. I do most running on concrete/ashalt and they are super comfortable. They seem to have less stability than the Sequence, which is my go to running shoe. I have been using these though for speedwork and they will work great for racing! February 22, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by A fine shoe Ordered 1/2 size up as recommended. Fit is good. Great feel. Fit like a glove. Super comfortable. I have a foot issue, so I will use Superfeet with these to make the feel a bit better. Put 5 miles on them and my feet (balls) were sore, but that's my physical issue, not the shoe. Happens in all shoes I run in, but less so in better quality shoes such as this. I think it's a great shoe and I'm glad I gave it a shot. Normally I shop only at the local running store to try shoes on first. I look forward to putting more miles on it. First 5K I did in them I knocked 30 seconds off my previous time. I won't attribute that to the shoe...I think. That made me happy. July 6, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Shoe Let me start by saying that it has been a great experience buying from Adidas. I received the shoes a day earlier than what I was expecting them. The shoes are extremely comfortable and I was a little worried about the size but like the website says order a 1/2 size bigger and you will be ok. I run about 6-8 miles a week and so far I find myself just wanting to go run even more. They are extremely comfortable and provide great support. I had a fracture foot about 6 months ago and other shoes make it difficult to run at any larger lengths but no so with these shoes. Overall money well spent. July 14, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Running Shoes I am not an athlete or very frequent runner but I feel that no matter what I want the greatest running shoes and these shoes are amazing. I have tried many other brands of running shoes and Adidas have always been very good to me. I was able to run the 1&1/2 mile for my semi annual fitness test much faster with these. They really do have a springy effect and have plenty of cushion and grip but are lightweight. I am really glad they mentioned to get a 1/2 size up otherwise they would have been too small. They look good too. The only con is the "Energy boost" text on the sole came off really quickly but that's no big deal. A great running shoe, would buy again. April 5, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by An Amazing Running Shoe. I bought these shoes after seeing some of the ads online and once I had a chance to try them on. These shoes do feel amazing. Honestly the are the most comfortable shoes I have owned to date. It does feel kinda different the first time you try them on. I best describe it as walking barefoot on a thick yoga mat. And that's a good thing. You feel the bounce in your run. I highly recommend it. Also, like its recommended, order at least a half-size bigger. These shoes do run a little small. I wear a size 11 but ordered the 11&1/2. Fits great with enough toe room. It is a must buy. I think adidas should look into marketing these shoes also as a great walking shoe. September 1, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by I couldn't be happier! So, I bought these shoes 2 months ago from Adidas's website. I wanted to wait until I did a couple races before reviewing them. As the title says, I could not be happier with the purchase. The day after I unboxed these and took them out for their inaugural run I set a PR for the 5k distance. Since then I've set 3 other PR's in the 1mile, 10k, and half marathon distances ranging from 1-5mins. When I'm running in these it just seems easier and effortless. Also, I don't seem to have as much muscle fatigue after runs. Anyway, that's my personal experience with these shoes. Oh, and about the sizing. I ordered the same size as my last pair of shoes. I didn't go a half size bigger and they fit me great. May 2, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Energy Boost I have been running for over 30 years and have never experienced a shoe quite like the new Adidas Energy Boost. As Adidas has asserted, this shoe is truly revolutionary, a "game changer". Not only do these shoes offer unprecedented and unheralded support and cushioning with great breathability, but the uppers fit my feet like a glove. Furthermore, all this is achieved in an extremely lightweight, yet structurally sound, package. I run between 60 to 70 miles per week and have experimented with everything from Five Fingers to my now ex-favorites-Asics Gel Kinsei 4-and I can honestly and unequivocally say I have never run in a better fitting, more comfortable and more explosive shoe. My only minor criticism is that the tongue of the shoe could have been made a bit wider at the top as the laces initially "cut" into the top of my foot. This, however, was easily corrected by utilizing the additional uppermost eyelet provided at the top of the shoe. As a matter of fact, I was so impressed by this shoe that after running in it for only 3 days and 30 miles, I purchased another pair. These are going to be an extremely tough act for Adidas' competitors to follow. Ausgezeichnet! March 8, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love this shoe I've always been a recreational runner but over the past couple of years I've been running longer distances, including my first full marathon. As a result, I've been through a lot of different shoes and The Boost is already one of my favorites. I'm not a heel striker, so the additional cushioning this shoe has there doesn't really help me, but you can still feel a difference in the midsole. I love the techfit upper although it takes a little getting used to because it feels tight compared to a regular shoe. It's not uncomfortable but I will probably try a half size bigger next time. I have them in Red and I also think it's the best looking shoe out there right now. Let's be honest - that matters too. April 30, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great shoe... for running straight I loved the fit of the shoe and the comfort it provided immediately. But when I had to lace them up tighter for running, they cut into the top of my foot pretty annoyingly. It could be because I have bony feet, but I can't tie them up very tight for them to be comfortable since there's not much material making up the top/front of the shoe. Very breathable though, so that's a benefit. But since I can't tie them up tight, I have to make sure I don't make any quick lateral movements when running (i.e. sharp turns) or my foot slides around in them. I think they are ideal for wearing around as comfortable shoes, especially if you know you're going to do a lot of walking or standing, or if you're going to run fairly straight, ha. I still love them now that I know their limitations. October 25, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by By far, the best pair of shoes I have ever run in. These shoes are incredible. They run kinda small, so you should definitely order a half size up in your normal adidas shoe size. But overall, they are awesome. I could actually feel my energy returning to me. I'm serious. And once you break them in, I'm sure they fit better and are easier to put on your feet then. 2 thumbs way up to these incredible running shoes (y) (y) :). February 22, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Shoe Migrated from Supernova to Adizero Bostons to Boost. These shoes are awesome. Larger sub 2 half marathoner making the leap to full marathons this summer. Have run 81 ish miles so far and love them--did an 18 miler over the weekend--took Sunday off and logged another 8 miles on Monday. No problems and I think the softer ride is helping clear up some nagging issues (nothing major just the aches and pains of reluctant aging)! Very happy so far and probably going to buy a second pair to start alternating shoes with runs. You will enjoy! June 5, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 The best shoe I have ran on I never write reviews, but this shoe is amazing. Mile after mile I throw on it, my legs speed and endurance just go further. The shoe is tight but not when your running, it's seems to mold to your foot and disappear. Great job Adidas on this shoe. March 8, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by The Most Effective Trainer I've ever owned I am a loyal adidas wearer for all my running trainers, and even this surpassed all expectations. A look at the profile would suggest that the rise of this shoe would make it uncomfortable or provide too much forward slant, but that is quickly dispelled. The cushioning is immediately felt but the most effective and noticeable thing is the way that your foot and arch are cradled by the midsole, as if it is adapting to your individual foot subtleties. The shape becomes even more evident and you walk or take your first strides in the Boost. The propulsion is natural and makes each stride lively and sharp. There is never a moment when the foot feels to fall flat or dead in the shoe. This will keep legs fresh and healthier in the long term. I do a lot of plyometrics, hurdle hops and jumping — the energy return in unmatched and the impact is reduced to laughable proportions. The fit is very exact, snug and sure. For a more traditional fit, definitely go up a half size. I have stockpiled (4) pair of these. Why wait if you find what works for you? October 21, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best Running shoe ever? To start... The shoe fits like a dream! Perfect fit! The techfit design is very nice. It's Light weight makes you feel like your running on a cloud. For real! The comfort of this shoe is unbeatable. Now to be perfectly honest... After about 10 miles of running in these shoes, I can't feel the "boost". When i herd about this shoe i was expecting Nickelodeon moon shoes. But i'm disappointed with the lack of bounce the shoe has. More truth! I work for Adidas and was NOT asked to issue a review. The shoe rocks! Not only is it the best running shoe i ever tried. But it's hands down the most comfortable shoe i ever owned. Great design,Great feel,Light weight,Perfect fit! Worth $150? Buy them and decide for yourself! October 2, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Wonder Shoe.... ... when you find the right size. I normally wear a 12, but had to go a half size up, as recommended. These shoes are the best I've ever had. I ran in the Supernova Sequence for about 3 years, and they began to feel clunky. This was most likely due to weight loss and change in my running form. I found it difficult to find a shoe that wasn't clunky but would provide me with support when my running form suffered. This shoe gives me a nice feel for the ground, yet at the same time protects me from colliding with it. It's a perfect combination. I can't believe the difference I feel with these shoes. Truly amazing. June 29, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Shoe - Durable - Comfortable - Feels Awesome The shoe fits great for me. These shoes accommodated my wide foot very nicely. No bad internal edges or sloppy sewing to deal with. All quality construction inside and out. I could run in these with no socks and not have a comfort issue. I run a lot on hard surfaces ( asphalt) and the cushioning on these shoes did a superb job of absorbing shock without loosing the feel of the road. I found the shoe felt neither heavy for particularity light to wear. The shoe is durable. It wears very well. Overall, its a pretty terrific shoe. Addidas delivers here. Not cheap but you get everything you pay for with this shoe. November 15, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great running shoe I am a soccer player, so I need to run a lot, so I practiced in some really basic trainers from another brand. First, I really liked it, but I saw that the cushioning on the trainer was really compressing, and I'm below average weight. So I saw some good reviews on the Boost, and I bought it. I ran a 5k, and it was so awesome. I was bouncing up and down, and way better at shock absorption that the previous trainer had. Way better than EVA foam, Boost is the way to go. It's the future of running. July 14, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Shoe But... It lacks in arch support. This shoe targets my mid calf. I've had two incidents in this shoe that have forced me to take a few days off. I don't blame the shoe. I just think it targets different muscles than the Glide 4 did. They are light and they look great. Not bulky. I would recommend a slower warm up pace first time out. Feel the shoe out. My normal pace is right around seven min/mi, so my first time out I was a bit anxious thinking I would be impervious to injury in this shoe. Not the case. I'm saying this as a constructive feedback. I love the shoe. April 10, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by amazing what this shoe can do for you It's night and day between using any other running shoe and the adidas boost! The torsion system is always a great choice and the reason I buy adidas to run. But this sole is amazing. I wont lie when I first opened the box I was dissapointed with the look of the sole it looked like cheap styrofoam and I wasn't impressed but don't judge this book by its cover the actual feel and texture sold me real quick. It's a great shoe to look forward to running in first thing in the morning. I can't wait to log some serious miles on these. It feels like you can keep running past your personal best with these shoes. My feet are a bit wider but this true fit material accomodates very nicely. April 14, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome Be sure to order a 1/2 size up (not sure why Adidas did this as now I have to wonder whether to order a size 9 or a 9 1/2 for their other shoes). Besides the size issue, these shoes are like wearing slippers when running...when I first started running it was like running on clouds, bouncing up and down on air bubbles. Shoe fits really well, no slippage at the heel, width is perfect. Not sure I wear these shoes out in the rain because of the mesh fabric (socks/feet would get wet) so will keep my Asics shoes as my back up for rainy / muddy days. Overall great shoe and like the electricity/white color scheme. July 14, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Game Changer, Can't Wait for Trail Version This is the most cushioned AND responsive shoe I've ever worn. I test shoes all of the time & I've run over 70 miles in these, including a 1:35 half marathon. I would recommend them to anybody. I even bought some for my lady. The Techfit forefoot on the upper is super comfortable with or without socks, but can get dirty pretty easily. It's also not great for cross-training. The heel cushioning is ridiculous, but I would prefer a little less slope and a little more forefoot cushioning. Finally, Adi, please bring on the traction [sorry, TraXion] because these are pretty much just for the road/track. May 14, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Not sure what the hype and price is about This isn't a bad shoe, but I don't understand the hype or the high price. It felt heavy and gave very little feel of the ground--sort of numb. Also the soles of my feet during a 14 mile run felt sore after about 10 or so miles. I always buy running shoes 1/2 size larger than my street shoe, and this fit fine, even with orthotics. I'd suggest to simply get the same size as one's regular running shoe. I'd prefer a lighter, more responsive running shoe. For my tastes, I would not get this shoe. March 23, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by LOVE these shoes! I have never tried an Adidas shoe for running before because I didn't believe Adidas would have a good running shoe. My local running store suggested I try these and I ABSOLUTELY love them. More than any other brand I have tried, I LOVE these. My feet feel great after a long run, and the best part is that they have single handedly taken care of my knee tendinitis issues. I love the stretch on the tops of the shoes, I don't feel too constricted inside the shoe and the soles of the shoe are just the right amount of support. I am a believer of these shoes and will be buying more. Hooked on Adidas now! February 14, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Blown away! I honestly was somewhat skeptical when I first purchased these shoes... I mean after all, I had fallen in love with the Adizero Tempo's so could I really love another shoe just as much? More so could these shoes really live up to all the hype? Well Im here to say YES on both accounts! These shoes are simply incredible! Read through the other reviews and see for yourself! These are one of the best out there!!! Also, I was a little hesitant to order a 1/2 size larger as reccomended, but again... I did as suggested, and they are a perfect fit! I can't wait to put some more miles on these bad boys!!! Rated 4 out of 5 by Amazing Comfortable Shoe I highly recommend the Adidas Energy Boosts to any long distance runner out there. Comfortable for your foot with the best cushion out there. It almost feels like with every step you take, the shoe rebounds energy back to you! Remember to order a half size bigger than your original shoe size with this running shoe. It would almost feel as if it was specially made for you! November 15, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect "Boost" to my run!!! I've been an Adidas fan for the last 10 years but my purchase of the Energy Boost Shoe took things to a whole new level. I purchased the shoes December 2013 and have since run 2 full marathons and put at least 300 miles on the shoes in training. I have really been able to tell the difference in the technology and would recommend them to everyone. Even with 300+ miles the shoes still look and feel great! I'm actually debating on either purchasing these same exact shoes or upgrading the latest and greatest Boost. Either way I feel confident they'll be great! Thank you Adidas!!! Well done!!! March 16, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by like em I bought the hype, and bought the shoes. I am a long time adidas customer, but I always like to try new things for some variety. First race after buying these was a fast(for me) half marathon, probably more due to the cold weather than the shoes :-) I have run 2 marathons with them since, and no PR's. I guess it will take more training than magic shoes, but I like them well enough. These are a bit wide, I wish the fit was snugger, like my Supernovas, Bostons, or favorite M10s. HEY ADIDAS- PLEASE USE THE BOOST TECHNOLOGY ON THE MARATHON 10s, and count me in for 3 pair right off the bat!!! June 14, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Not for the wide of feet No way around it, I tried 2 different pairs in two different sizes and I simply cannot wear this. They are just too darn tight on my feet. The one run I got in resulted in barely being able to walk the next day due to running in tight shoes. For me it was far less about the length and all about the width. My feet are just shy of being rated wide, so a tight shoe like this, that doesn't offer a wide version, will not work for me. May be a great shoe, but until they offer a wide size, I won't be able to try them. April 4, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Slowjogger The first time I put on the shoes they were comfortable. My first two runs about the forty minute mark the bottoms with the boost would get really warm but as the third and fourth time went by the shoes fit more to my feet. My only complaint is that they were a bit narrow as I have wide feet but overall were comfortable during my runs. These running shoes were better then the last two pairs that I have bought so that is good, it seems to keep getting harder and harder for me to find a good pair of running shoes. February 22, 2013

Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Cushion! I bought a pair of these Boosts back in September, and they are still going strong! These shoes have a narrow toe box, so if you're looking for a wider toe box get the Boost supernova glides. I love these for walking and running shorter distances. I'm a big guy so the Boost foam is great for my knees! March 16, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good shoe This shoe has worked wonders on my shin splints. As soon as I started running i could feel the boost working and absorbing impact. Just being able to get my shin splints to go away has helped my times. I wear a size 13 and it feels true to size for that size. Pros: comfortable perfect weight fits very well Cons: When running on gravel roads I can feel the rocks more with boost. So I would NOT get these if you live on a gravel road. Needs more support around the back I also dont think there is enough tread on the bottom of the shoe ( this would probably help with the rock problem) June 15, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Pretty sweet When I got these in the mail the first thing I noticed was that the boost foam looks an aweful lot like packing styrafoam! But once I started running the difference from my old shoes was noticable immediately. I was going from regular basketball shoes (I know, it's all I had) to these. Ended up running an extra couple miles! I'm still only running on a treadmill though, I could see a stick puncturing right through that foam if you like running trails. They are perfect for longdistances on treadmills and even have a tracker chip compartment that I didn't realize until I got them! May 24, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good cushioning w/"snug" fit... The shoe is lightweight, and the cushioning is quite good, which is just what I was looking for. I was worried it would be too soft and unstable, but it is not. I typically take a size 12 in a running shoe, but I do wear an 11.5 in some models. After much debate, I decided to try the Energy Boosts in size 12, being open-minded about a "non-traditional" fit...I find there is plenty of room for my big toes, but my little toes sometimes feel "squished". I don't know if it is because the shoe runs narrow...or it is simply a matter of me getting used to the shoe's "snug" fit... February 6, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best shoes ever! I walk at least 3.2 miles a day/5 days a week. I was having an incredible amount of pain in my right foot, went to a Podiatrist and was diagnosed with Morton's Neuroma. I had a cortisone shot, but the pain never completely went away. Then I tried the Energy Boost shoes on-they felt great, but they were more money than I typically spent on shoes in the past. I left the store after trying on the shoes, but returned later the same day, because I couldn't stop thinking about them. I have 3 pairs now (2 extra pairs), and my foot has healed-no pain at all. Take care of your feet-they can't be replaced. The Energy Boost shoes are the best shoes that I have ever had. I did not buy a bigger size-I tried on an 8 1/2 and a 9 and the 8 1/2, which is my regular shoe size, felt the best-they fit snug, but I like that. December 12, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by The BEST Running Shoes....EVER!!! WOW!!! The Boost running shoes are incredible. As a Soldier, I am required to remain fit and Boost has taken me to a new level. These shoes are so lite and comfortable. My running time was reduced due to the Boost technology. I would and will recommend Boost to everyone. Want to enhance your workout? Your run? BUY BOOST!! Rated 1 out of 5 by Bruising the top of my foot Was very excited to purchase and wear these shoes for an upcoming marathon. However, my right shoe is very uncomfortable at the top of my foot near the top of my laces. It feels like it is bruising the top of my foot. Running in the shoe hurts. I’ve even tried loosening the laces to the point where the shoe is almost too loose, still hurts my right foot. The left shoe fits great. I’ve never experienced a discrepancy like this. At this point I’ll have to switch back to my old pair of shoes for my upcoming marathon. I purchased 1/2 size up as advised. September 17, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Insane Product!! At first I wasn't sure if this product was worth the price. After reading the reviews I felt optimistic so I decided to give these shoes a try. When I received the product, which took only 1 day, I was psyched. These shoes fit me great because I went a .5 size up which I recommend you doing too. The shoe also felt very snug and secure which I liked. I absolutely LOVE the "techfit" upper. It is secure, snug, stretchy and comfortable all at the same time. The new Boost technology adidas has found is amazing. The boost is sooo comfortable. It is very squishy but really does return the energy in your run. I got the black color way, which I recommend, and it is very versatile. You can wear these shoes just about anywhere with just about anything. The only concern I have is with the traction. I feel as if the bottoms with wear out quickly even though adidas uses the adiwear technology on the shoe. The adiwear is good but I don't think it is put in all the places where it should be. Either if your a runner or a casual person you should get this shoe. Bottom line is that this shoe IS worth the money so go buy it right now. April 13, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best running shoe I've owned I run 1-2 times a week. I mainly run to stay in shape for soccer and just to feel good. 3-6 miles each time I go out. These shoes are perfect. Light: there's very little weight to these. I came from an Asics GT which feels at least twice as heavy. Cushion: There's no doubt that these shoes are the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. Period. I want to wear them all the time, but they're not exactly a fashion statement I want to make. Breathability: The upper is light, and lets plenty of air in and out. I run on a granite trail in Austin, TX so I need these to stay cool I've only had these for about 20 miles, but they're still like new. The lacing is really simple and effective. I have no complaints. Buy them. June 17, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Wasn't sure at first, but........ After first receiving my boost's in the mail I tried them on. I have to say I was nervous about the fit. I ordered them a half size up, but they felt like I should have ordered a full size up. I wore them for a few days just walking around to see if they would stretch out a bit. They did! Went for my first run in them, and they were GREAT! I previously have been running in the glide 5's. I still love those shoes, but I'm starting to love my boost's a bit more. As a chef I am on my feet all night. The extra comfort is very much appreciated, because I run long distances. November 21, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by Great, but.... I run 20-25 miles/week and training for a half marathon. Amazing shoe. Great response and easy ride. My runs have been faster per mile since using them. It is MEANT to fit tighter than other shoes since energy is lost when your foot moves within your shoes while running. The tech-fit holds to foot tight like a sock to prevent movement and wasted energy. The ONLY thought I have is lowering the drop from 10mm to 6mm or even 8mm. Other than that.... I'm liking these kicks! December 18, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Decent running shoe I purchased these shoes as a long distance runner who requires a lot of cushioning and support. Initially, the fit was very tight, almost to the point of being uncomfortable. Over weeks, my feet slowly adjusted to them but I was certainly not used to the tightness of the running shoe - after so many weeks, it seemed they contoured to the shape of my feet. What I REALLY like about these shoes is they offer excellent support and are very light. I can feel the bounce in the step, but I think all of the reviews and advertisements overestimate their performance. At $150, I think they are a decent purchase and I do not regret buying them. However, I likely would have opted not to purchase them if I had tried them on in a store instead of ordering them online - the initial fit is just way too tight even at the correct size. Rated 5 out of 5 by Boost Energy Shoes - New Energy to Run I was selected by Adidas to test the Boost running shoes for 3 weeks before their official release on the market. My Background - I run and cycle to stay in shape and try and workout 3 to 5 times per week. I am currently training for my first Half Ironman (first tri as well) and the timing of testing the Boost shoes was perfect with the workout schedule I am currently on. I normally wear the Adidas Supernova Glide running shoe (Size 10.5). I ordered size 11 Boost shoes (as directed by Adidas) and they fit perfectly. I have run about 40 miles (all on a treadmill) with the Energy Boost shoes and absolutely love them. Here are some of my early thoughts: Out of the box reaction - I will admit I was very excited to find out that Adidas selected me (a normal runner, father of 4, etc.) to test a new design of running shoes. With that being said, I am sometimes slow to change or adjust to new things so I am a good test case for a new shoe. When I opened the box the shoes definitely grabbed my attention. I immediately noticed the following: 1) Sock like upper (later discovered it is called "techfit"# 2# More rounded sole shape when looking at the profile of the shoe 3# Unusual looking foam sole of the shoe. It looked like someone packed together small foam pieces and did not look like a solid piece of foam I am used to seeing on a shoe #later discovered this is what makes them "energy boost" and I am a believer#. Please don't take my comment to mean the shoe looks like it will come apart, mine still look brand new and I have run 40 miles on them. I did immediately alert my wife to my good fortune of receiving a pair of shoes that I was selected to test #much to her non-excitement but she humored me#. Her reaction was similar to mine, this shoe was different than what we are used to and she did not like the black design at first #about 2 days later she changed her mind and now thinks they look nice but commented I should order the red pair next time#. It took about 2 miles on my first run to adjust to the feel of the shoe. The sole/foam bottom does have a slightly different feel and shape when you first put them on. After my first run I have never looked back at my old shoes. I am not sure if it is the new design of the shoe or a mental "state" but I feel the shoe offers a different response when running. They feel very natural when running and after 6 mile runs my feet feel the same as when I started. The techfit upper is also a nice change in a running shoe. It feels like it hugs your foot and seems to breathe pretty well #I have not run outside or in warm weather to really comment on if the shoe holds heat in but my initial feedback is the shoe is equivalent to my previous shoes#. Over all I am very happy with the Energy Boost shoe and have a few minor negative comments. For some reason the running sock I wear #Drymax# are difficult to slide into the shoe against the techfit material. I realize this is a minor inconvenience but every time I put them on I notice the resistance. Second, the price is a little more than I like to pay for a running shoe. I normally find the Supernova Glide shoes for $85 - $100 by purchasing the model from last year. I am hopeful Adidas will continue to support my running through the successful completion of my first Half Ironman #hint hint# and I would love to wear the Energy Boost and tell my story #prefer red shoe for next order!#. I will continue to run in these shoes for my training and post any updates or modifications over the life of my first pair of Energy Boost shoes. If Adidas does elect to support my cause, I will be very grateful and a great supporter, if not, I will probably order the red pair for my next shoe to successfully finish my first Half Ironman in Adidas! Rated 5 out of 5 Great Shoe! I must admit that I was pretty skeptical about this shoe - the foam and "energy boost" seemed kind of gimmicky to me. Blown away! These serve as GREAT padding for hard surface runs but are also comparably light to my other shoes. I love them. In my first run with them I beat my 5K PR by 15 seconds in 86 degrees and 60% humidity and my legs felt great. I just now have a long run in and there is none of the leg aches that are typical for me. This is my first adidas shoe, but will definitely not be my last! If I might add one suggestion to Adidas, it would be to create an identical shoe with a ultra breathable mesh. Under 80 degrees they are cool and perfect, but in runs over this temperature I do get some sweat buildup. July 18, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Lunaglides just got Energy Boosted Great new shoe. Love the feel and the ventilation in the toe. July 17, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Boost review As far as the cushion and comfort on this shoe, I have only worn a few others that come close. The downside of the shoe is the upper, not because of the tight fit but because of the breath ability. If you sweat, run in a humid environment be prepared to have wet feet. I have had quite a few runs in the shoes and love then feel. However at the weekend had a 16 mile long run in humid conditions and my socks felt as if I had run through a river. I will now be more selective when I run in these. If socks had gotten any wetter would certainly have caused blisters August 21, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best time ever with these shoes. I wasn't sure about the shoes after reading all the hype on them., but I can now say it's all true. I ran my usual 5.25 route this morning and I cut 4 minutes off my fastest time. it could of just been the excitement of a new pair of shoes or my new Stinger honey energy gel, but I say it was the shoes. They are pricey, but work. I always buy Adidas because I like the snug fit they usually have in the forefoot. All the other brands seem to be too big and slooppy in the forefoot to me. GREAT job Adidas!!! Now if you would only make some mountain biking shoes. October 27, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Bought for walking I have been having pain in the ball of my feet. I don't really run anymore but do a lot of walking, 20 miles a week. These shoes feel good. I've only worn them three times. I normally wear a 12 shoe and 13 running shoe for room in the toe cage. However these are the only 13's I've ever worn that are snug. So you may want to try them on at a store. I bought them straight from Adidas. I called the local running store and the woman said she would wear them. The first time I wore them my feet felt a little numb. I loosened the laces and all was well. I did run a little in them and they felt really good, so maybe running is in my future. (I ran marathons 13 years ago. There's a reason Clydesdales should not run, so says my knees. ) February 8, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by happily surprised I recieved these the day before a 5k race. I was Leary of believing the hype, but these really live up to it. The boost is very soft and responsive. There a little nice to it without being too bouncy. I ordered a half size bigger than normal. The only con is they're a little tight on top of the arches, but in their defense I do have high arches and after a few minutes I forget about it. I believe they'll break in very quickly. One I noticed that I haven't read in the reviews is the noise, or lack of any noise when they hit the pavement. I was listening the other runner's pounding the pavement, but mine were virtually silent. I look forward to running a good enjoyable 10 mile run after this week when I'm not on call for my job. Rated 5 out of 5 by The Best Running Shoe I purchased (2) pairs of the "Energy Boost" based on reviews, and research in looking for a high-quality running shoe for my summer runs. I always run in Adidas because of the excellent fit it provided for myself in the previous Adidas that I've purchased. The "Energy Boost" is the Best running shoe that I've had to date. It provides a snug fit-- comfort--and lightweight I was looking for when doing research. Once I took my first run and realized the comfort the foam technology provided--in keeping me less fatigue, and not as sore a couple days after runs, I was more inclined to wake up to prepare myself for 5k/10k races this summer and fall. I enjoy running and look forward to purchasing a couple more pair. - Great job Adidas! August 25, 2013

Rated 4 out of 5 by Good shoe Love the cushion feel of the shoe. Every time foot hits pavement the shoe seems to "spring" back up, so you really do feel a boost. Worst part of the shoe is the fit. Website says buy 1/2 inch bigger than normal size. I normally wear a size 12'' shoe, but 12.5'' was not an option, so I stuck with 12". Have a few small blisters on the top of my feet after wearing these shoes....Hope that with more use the tightness of the fit will improve. March 11, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best running shoes I ever had. I've run since I was 20. The past few years, I couldn't run more than 3 miles before my feet started hurting. Nothing would help. About a year ago, I gave up running and switched to a spinning bike. I got a pair of Energy Boost last April and I'm flying down the sidewalk again! No more foot pain at all. I do my 5 miles without any discomfort. I really like the way your foot rolls through and the impact is distributed evenly over the entire foot. Boost gave me my running back. I'm running faster now than I have in 10 years, 8 1/2 minutes a mile or better. September 4, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Not a Runner Ok, I bought these shoes because I needed new sneakers. I do a lot of cross training, boot camp, and other things like that. I am not a runner, and in fact try to avoid running if at all possible. These shoes have helped to make running enjoyable. I won't say that I like running now, but these shoes have made my experience running many many times better. I am less sore after a 3-mile run, I don't hurt while I run, and I feel like I'm being propelled a bit more than I was before. I have used these in my boot camp, and they perform perfectly. I love how low my toes are to the floor - perfect for doubleunders - and when doing sideways drills my foot doesn't slip. I'm sold and will continue to watch this style for future developments. Rated 5 out of 5 by AWESOME!, AWESOME!, did i say Awesome ? Been tracking these sneaks for a couple of months and was gun shy due to the price and the fact that the color i want keep getting sold out because i guess everyone is my size (9). Tried them on at different places and i just had to pull the trigger. These shoes extended my run, lessened knee and shin fatigue tremendously, which meant that i could push myself farther. After my first run, my synopsis is that i would pay twice the amount for the result i got. I like the extended eye lace on the shoe and it came in handy when i tightened my right shoe for my run. Toe box seemed different at the start due to a bit of internal play in the shoe but became apparent as a great design during the run. Conclusion: Two thumbs up, straight up ! : ) July 5, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Designer flaw, Designer flaw, Perfect in every way except for the shoe tongue is narrow, dose NOT cover enough side to side under the shoe lace, socks are showing. March 12, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by The Future Of Running Shoes When I first received these running shoes, I didn't know what to think. I opened the box and thought, these are different. I immediately notice how light and different the make of the shoe was. I have worn tech fit before on my body, but to see it on a shoe was a interesting concept. This could be revolutionary or catastrophic. I was quickly convinced this was revolutionary. The shoe molds to your foot just like tech fit clothing does to your body. It gives you that snug feel and makes your foot feel safe. When I went on my first run I quickly understood the technology behind it. My legs were not as tired and I felt as though I was running on a lot more support and cushion then previous running shoes I have had. One month later they are still performing to their highest quality. I look forward to continue using them. I recommend getting the shoe size you would normally get. It says to order a half a size up, but I am a 9.5 and got a 9.5 and they fit perfectly. At first they will be tight, but they stretch out a little as you wear them and run in them. I highly recommend these running shoes. Adidas got it right with their new Energy Boost Technology. February 27, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Size all the reviews said to go up a half size,,,found them true to size so had to return for a smaller size (wear 8 1/2 ordered 9) April 7, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Purchase Order 1/2 a size up. When I first ordered these shoes, I ordered my true size (11.5). When they arrived I tried them on and they felt a bit tight. The elastic material they're made of hugs the top of your feet giving them a tight fit. So I highly recommend ordering 1/2 a size up to get a more comfortable fit. I exchanged my 11.5 for a 12 and they fit perfectly. The shoe's material hugs your feet giving them a relaxed, yet firm hold which makes running in them very comfortable. When I run in them they feel like they have tiny springs at the bottom of the shoe giving you small bursts of speed. They feel great when running, they're comfortable , nice looking, and they perform quite well. Highly recommend, just remember to order 1/2 size larger! July 22, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best running shoes ever! Energy Boost rocks! I'm just into my 2nd year of running- and have gone through many different shoes- and I must say- after running in the Adidas Boost for about 2 weeks- they are amazing! I go for comfort (I'm in my fifties)- and I run about 14 miles a week- these are crazy comfortable! Great support as well! They are a little snug- I took a few runs to get used to this. I got the red ones- they also look very cool! March 10, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by I LOVE THESE SHOES I have been running in adidas shoes for about 30 years and these are my favorites (although I have fond memories of the Marathon 80 racing flat). The uppers are fantastic. A design breakthrough! (they need to put this upper on a racing flat) And although I'm a solid midfoot striker who doesn't need a lot of cushioning in the heel (and generally like firmer midsoles), I love the feel of the Boost midsole. I've already bought two pairs, and I don't run as much anymore, but I love wearing them. They look cool and I get compliments at the gym. July 8, 2013
