Rated 1 out of 5 by Disappointing Quality & Not As Described I'm disappointed in a couple of things on the Boston Marathon jacket that I just received. The stitching quality is very poor on the back logo and the "BAA 26.2" on the collar is completely missing and was replaced by a small, screened "Boston runs as one" logo. In addition, the zipper is orange and not black and the orange is much brighter than the pictures. The jacket that I received is simply not as advertised. I'm returning it in hopes this was a just a mistake. I'll get another one shipped to see if the quality is different. December 23, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by B.A.A. 26.2 is not on the Collar! I am not here to complain about the colors, like all others, because the color really isn't all that bad. My complaint is that the picture shows the traditional BAA 26.2 on the back collar, but I just got the jacket and that is not on the back of the collar. Instead there is a cheap screen print of the B.A.A. logo and says "Boston Runs as One." Don't get me wrong, I actually love this on the jacket, but not on the back collar where the B.A.A. 26.2 is supposed to be. ADIDAS should have put this on the sleeve, or on the front of the jacket, and why is this not sewed on like the rest of the stuff on the jacket? I'm hoping that I just got a bad jacket because that was a HUGE letdown! I will be sending back to ADIDAS for a new one. December 25, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Disappointing So very disappointed in this year's jacket. What was the thought process here? This is a colour that a slight fraction of any population would truly enjoy. With these colours, the blue trim would have been much, much better as base. As a matter of fact, it appears a women's alternate ("smarter") jacket has been posted. I hope such is considered for a men's option - BUT WITH LOGO ON THE BACK too. That would sell. A patriotic theme would have made the most sense, but that is clearly not happening. Oh well, Adidas and BAA will be disappointed by sales. Ultimately, though, the runners are the losers as this race will not be commemorated about town with the normal jacket enthusiasm. Rated 2 out of 5 by Not exactly what is pictured The jacket does not actually match the picture - the black zipper pictured is actually orange and blends. I did not notice a sizing problem - I ordered a small and it seemed to fit as I would expect - I am 5'5" and about 140 lb. That said, the jacket is very bright orange and it does not look exactly like the picture, so is a little bit of a disappointment for me just because of that. I wasn't a big fan of the design online at first, but I got used to it and ordered it. Now I feel like I have to go through that again. I will keep it for a day before I decide whether or not to keep it. January 2, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Celebration jacket If you want a celebration jacket, here it is, you have no other choice--London Marathon colors. I would recommend this because it is this years celebration jacket. Great running jacket, still not a celebration jacket, not up to the Image Impact Celebration jacket standard--that was a celebration jacket! March 22, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by A Little Disappointed After seeing the jackets the last few years and especially last year I was really looking forward to this years jacket, especially after what happened last year. However, this year's jacket is very disappointing for three reasons: 1. The colors in no way honor what happened last year and will be tough to wear on any day after the race. 2. The 26.2 was removed off the back of the collar and replaced with a screen printed slogan honoring last year which is cool but it's screen printed on which means it will eventually wear off. 3. The quality is just sub-par. I have a Boston Marathon jacket from 2006 that is better quality. April 17, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Same as the London Marathon Jacket?????? I just discovered that Adidas is using the same jacket for the 2014 Boston Marathon and the 2014 London Marathon! Seriously?? It's the same color scheme and all with the stripes, just the logos are different. I thought the jacket was bad before, but now that it's the same as the London jacket, I dislike it even more. No originality for the Boston jacket? Epic failure Adidas. January 21, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by No way In a year in which the Boston Marathon will be more meaningful to a ton of people than ever before, this is awful. Honoring the BAA with a traditional blue and yellow, or even going with red white and blue would have been fitting. Instead, we get what looks like Miami Marlins outerwear. Even the embroidered 26.2 is removed! Terrible. January 8, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by What were they thinking? This is a rather odd design and color scheme for the Boston Marathon--you certainly will get noticed if you wear this in public. Between the bright safety orange and the weird striping across the shoulder and back, the jacket seems out of place in "celebrating" such a classy and prestigious event such as the Boston Marathon. The quality of the jacket is fine, although a back ventilation panel would have been nice. December 30, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fits great Ran Boston for first time in 2013 and HAVE to go back in April, wouldn't miss it for the world. Ordered this jacket last week and received it in three days. Yeah it's bright, but it's not a dinner jacket, it's a running jacket and does a great job for what it is designed to do. I wear a men's medium and it is true to size and fits perfectly, and really like the way it feels when I'm running in it. I wear it with a great deal of pride and if it jumps out at you with the color that is fine. Maybe a way of saying "In your face, you can't stop us or Boston" so yeah look at us we're still running and will always run. Love the Jacket December 25, 2013
