Rated 2 out of 5 by want to love them, but maybe they don't love me Love the fit and feel of the Adistar Boost! These shoes want to run- not jog, run. That may be my problem, these shoes try to propel you forward. After about 2.5 miles my feet start to ache, after about 3.5 miles my feet start going numb. The shoes seem to want me to run at least at an 8.5min/mi pace; I usually run around 10min/mi when I run beyond a 5K distance. I really want to love these shoes, but if i don't run at the pace the shoes want, my feet hurt, if I do run at their pace, I can't run any significant distance. I was hoping to work my way up to a half marathon with these, but maybe these shoes are better suited to faster runners. July 18, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by My second pair of Adistar Boost Shoes Excellent shoes. I just purchased a new pair of the same shoe, which I will use - like the last pair - to trail run in the mountains as well as walk through the streets of Manhattan. Downsides: The white boost material under the heal started to break down over time on my old pair, and the Adistar colored foam under the heal wore away as well. I also wish the tongue had a loop through which to string the laces. the tongue occasionally rotates to the outside. Upsides: Excellent cushioning - protects the knees. Good fit. Can be used for moderate, but not muddy, trail running. December 22, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Amazingly comfortable I am a big fan of shoes. Not a runner though. I use such type of shoes for regular usages(college, office, leisure). Looks: Its very nice and subtle. Nothing flashy and looks exactly like as in the image. Feel: Very smooth and soft. I ordered 1/2 inch greater than my usual shoe size. Fits me great. I have a slim leg and it fits very nice. Feels cozy and after 12 hours of wearing the shoe, I still feel like not removing it. The material of the shoes is stretchy. Hence, you feel cozy inside since it hugs your feet very nicely and does't hurt at the same time. Height: It adds 1 inch height overall. Overall: Great shoes, great looks. April 30, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by The Overall Best Boost Runner!! I own most of the Boosts lineup for runners (except Adios, and Sequence 7's). I'm a big guy (6'6" 235 lbs), and these Adistar Boosts are the overall best Boost shoe for the common runner. I used my different Boosts for different applications (speedier runs), but when I review a shoe, it is for the purpose for informing the average runner that is trying to get in shape. These shoes are a workhorse! Yeah, they're heavier, so if you're a fast runner get the Energy Boosts, Boost Glides or Adios Boosts. These shoes by far have the most technology in them (that's why they're so pricey). These shoes have the cushion of the Energy Boosts with a stability mechanism similar to the Sequence 5s. They have the Techfit material, but they are not as snug as the Energy Boosts. A good amount of toe splay. These shoes are the best for walking and long distance runs (if you're not too concerned with time). If you know the correct application of the Adistar Boosts (for slower runners), then they are the most comfortable running shoes on the market. I use them for walking and for 5 mile and up runs. These replaced my all time favorite Supernova Sequence 5s! June 17, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Different but awesome! A snug interesting fit. I prefer to lace it looser than with shoes with a more traditional upper. It took a couple runs but they're now my go to "long-easy" run shoes. Very comfortable. A very nice trainer. They seem to me to be a truer fit than the original Boost. April 12, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Poor shoe for the price I was very disappointed with this shoe. It was extremely narrow (not sure which human foot this was made for) and the sides of my feet stretched the lining. The sole of the shoe looked like it was made out of styrofoam and the lining of the sole was so thin it appeared that it would wear through to the 'styrofoam' in a matter of weeks. I would have expected to pick up these shoes at Payless shoes, not Adidas. Needless to say they were shipped back and I will not likely be returning to Adidas for my running shoes. April 4, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fantastic cushioning I immediately felt more comfortable on long runs with my first pair of these. I really like the contact with ground too - it feels very natural and un-structured. I now alternate with a second pair of the same shoe, I can't tell the difference between the shoes with 1100km and the shoes with 250km while running. My only concern is the rubber pad/sole is quite thin and it started wearing through at the very front/toe end of the shoe after 600km. In saying that though it doesn't make any difference while running. March 21, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Adidas Almost Got It Right These shoes seem great when first tried but there are a couple design flaws which need to be fixed. First: The inside of the shoe has a raised ridge around the entire perimeter of the shoe. If you take the insole out it is VERY noticeable. This causes your big toes to continually slide around even with the insole blisters. Second: The durability of the bottom of the shoe is way too soft and will break down too soon for the price of this shoe. These issues fixed and Adidas will have an awesome contender! April 23, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Most comfortable shoes I've ever owned I'm creeping up on 80, a little overweight, with lifelong severe pronation, chronically sore feet, and a gimpy left knee. These shoes are the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. They're feather-light; stabilize my feet better than anything else; and accommodate my Powerstep Pinnacle Max insert perfectly. In the week that I've had these, I've walked farther than I've walked in a couple of years, with less fatigue and almost no pain in hips or knees. And when I get home, I don't even take the shoes off. May 7, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Second Adistar Boost I liked it so much I went and bought a second pair after about 450 miles of Marathon training. The upper takes a little getting used to, it fits like a glove in the toe box, but my feet sometimes feel like they are swimming in more conventional uppers. November 23, 2013
