Rated 4 out of 5 by New to minimalist I am flatfooted and a relatively heavy pronator. Ive always found solace in stability and motion control shoes. As a repeat Adistar Salvation user, I was a little standoffish about going to a shoes with such little support. Just on a whim I decided to give the new "barefoot" craze a try. I couldn't have been any happier with the results. Immediately, on the first run, I could feel how the shoes forced my feet to touch down differently. For me, they pushed me to run more on the balls of my feet rather than letting my heal touch first as with regular shoes. Ironically, there is substantially less stress and feeling of impact wearing these shoes with less cushion than from wearing the more traditional type. I'm definitely now a believer in these shoes. Rated 4 out of 5 by Very Good Very good shoe. Beautifully styled. Incredibly light. My only reservation is that the sole is about a 1/4 inch too thin. Hence, the shoe is fine for walking and easy gym workouts, but I'd never run in it or participate in high-intensity activities in this shoe. And that's a bit in contrast to the very purpose Adidas offers for the shoe: namely, running. So I'd give it an A for "looks", and a B for function/support. Your choice to take that as an A- or a B+. I'd say it's a B+. But be aware that although the shoe is beautiful, and the quality appears [after my first week wearing it] to be excellent, the sole is VERY thin. January 30, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Sick shoes Dang I bought these shoes and they are fantastic . I wear these things literally everywhere and also workout in them. They are extremely durable and do not worry about them getting dirty they stay really clean actually. They are my everyday shoes. As far as working out with them they are excellent shoes for running. You literally move like a gazelle in these suckers. You feel like you are gliding December 9, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Amazing Racing Flats These shoes are perfect, I see people say the shoe fits lose but that isn't the case; normally I wear a size 8 and this shoe fits perfect as a size 8 and that's coming from a guy that's very picky about how his shoes fit. I train in these shoes and I race in them as the title says, they are absolutely perfect in both ways; just don't over train at first as you will need to build muscle in new parts of your leg the first few weeks. There's only one downside to these shoes and that is I cant seem to find them in Canada at all so Ive had to order online. November 27, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Purely a running shoe I should preface this review by noting that I bought them for CrossFit and because they look so darn awesome. When I got them, though, I realized they were purely a running shoe, and didn't have the sort of sole that would work for my activities. I've seen others indicate that they wear these for CrossFit and I think that's just crazy, but you can decide for yourself (I personally wear the Adipure 360 Trainers for CrossFit. Similar shoe but with a sole more appropriate for lifting and agility.) If you want a running shoe, I'm sure these are some of the best. But if you want more functionality/versatility in your shoe for activities other than running, perhaps buy another pair to supplement/compliment these. February 9, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by light comfortable speed demon=] just got these shows today ran at the highschool track improved my time by 3 min for 3 miles there amazing shoes feels like im running on air there fit is great just gotta get used to how light they are but overall an amazing shoe August 17, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by Not worth the price I disliked this product because as soon as I opened my box there was a disclaimer saying that the colors are going to wear and run. Also, I ran and walked in these for about 3 weeks before I started the refund process. I started the refund process because the sole of the toe box was wearing and I haven't put 15 miles in them. You can't tell by the picture, but the top is made of a sock-like material. The shoe just seemed cheap. The fit was great, the shoes looked great. Overall, the price is way too much to pay for shoes that lasted me about 3 weeks, before I noticed problems. April 27, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Don't play sports in these shoes On the first day I got these shoes, I ran a few miles, and liked the barefoot feel. They have good padding for forefoot-striking runners. However, after running i played some indoor soccer with friends in my gym, and after the mild game i discovered three rips in the upper, above the socket of my big toe, on each shoe. There was minimal contact during this game so I was perplexed as to why the upper had these tears. BEWARE and wear this product only for running, lest yours tear on the first day like mine. Rated 5 out of 5 by Most comfortable shoes I've ever run in. I'm 36 years old and never really enjoyed running. It always felt too painful and janky on my bones (I'm very skinny). About a year ago, I started learning how to run with a fore-foot strike and I started enjoying running for the first time. After getting used to my stride, I found my normal running shoes (New Balance) clunky and awkward. I bought these Adipure Gazelle as my first minimal shoe and I love them. They are hands-down the most comfortable shoe I own. Not only do I wear them when I run, I bought a 2nd pair that I use for everyday walking around. They are incredible. April 18, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Only the laces aren't great The shoe is extremely comfortable in general, but actually feels amazing when running. That being said, the laces get untied VERY easily if you run with small and quick paces or sprint. I've never had that issue with any other running shoe, it could still be my fault but it just seems like it shouldn't be a problem. I'm sure most people wouldn't consider such an usual shoe in the first place but take it from me they're great. I can't vouch for durability, but in terms of comfort when running these are amazing. Oh and given the flexibility and material (stretches) you could probably get away with 1/2 a size less than usual. I didn't think about it until after using them several weeks but it could help you. Lastly I guess it is a bit sleazy of Adidas to have originally had these shoes (at least in blue, the more "normal" looking version) at 120, and now they're all 100. October 27, 2012

Rated 5 out of 5 by Super comfy The most comfortable shoe I have ever worn. I took some peoples advice and wear them sockless and they feel amazing. I only suggest that you never run off the road in them as they don't do well on uneven surfaces. Im also not completely convinced about how durable they will be. My Kinvaras I had before this did last forever though. Oh and since the top is all flexible size down or else your foot really moves around ( this is also because the strips hold it to your foot and) October 16, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by best shoe.... period. I can't remember how I came across these shoes, but I'm glad I did. I am coming off of the Nike free run 1,2, and 4's, and I will not be switching back. These shoes are leaps, and bounds better than the Nike's. The craftsmanship in these shoes is obvious. The color ways are sick. I ordered a pair of the Gazelle's in black, and red. It will be interesting to see what Adidas is developing for make 2 of these shoes. Highly recommended. January 6, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good idea; one flaw I really like the adiprene material and the adipure product range. I have a pair of Adios 2 that are great for long runs (my favorite conventional running shoe). But, in fact, I mostly run barefoot. Sometimes I feel like wearing shoes for running to give my bare feet a break (or when it's really cold and wet). So I tried these. I like how Adidas developed a progressive range to ease people into barefooting (and, presumably, to sell more shoes). It is true that one has to transition to barefoot slowly, and with care. (I sometimes run in other brands of "barefoot" shoe; I like to mix it up, preferring completely bare when possible). I got to try these on a track and they're especially well suited for that. However, the toe box is tight. The mesh-like fabric pushes down on my toes and that is a bit annoying. You may want to go up a half size. They are sharp looking. December 4, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Feel The Adipure Gazelle are great shoes. They are aesthetically nice, very comfortable, and light. • I would recommend a half size up from your normal shoe size. January 7, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best show i've ever had. Everything about this shoe is absolutely terrific. super light weight, comfortable, and looks sick. the only thing that could have made it better is if the color was a little bit darker red. still, its fantastic. kohls has matching red adidas socks that go with them perfectly. i have the black ones with matching adidas socks for those as well. My foot work is on point now. January 12, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best track flats ever When I was little I played soccer and my club team was sponsored by Adidas, and ever since then the only athletic brand I've worn is Adidas. Now I run track and Nike seems to make to best Track and Field gear, but now with this new Adipure line they've totally changed my mind. I don't wear Nike's clothes or shoes neither. January 7, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great minimalist shoes Over the years I've run in just about every minimalist road shoe (NB, Altra, Inov8, etc.) and these are at the top of the list. If you've run in NB zero's, the ground feel will be very familiar--I'd argue there's about 5% more cushioning, but otherwise the same. No nasty and unnecessary heel counter, good forefoot width. The upper fabric is on the thin, airy side (though today's run was 26 degrees and breezy, I didn't really notice the thin-ness with wool socks.) There is one feature that may be divisive for some runners: forefoot height (from sole to upper) is on the "tight" side depending on foot fatness. I have what some people would call flipper feet, so they're pretty close to ideal for me. If you have a bulky foot, though, it could result in claustrophobic toes. February 17, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very comfortable and light I've just run my first 5km in these shoes and found them very comfortable. I have slight tightness in one of my calves, but this is due to them doing extra work as I run up on my balls and toes. They felt very light and compared to other shoes, like you really have nothing on at all. January 13, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best CrossFit shoe Seriously, this is the best shoe I've come across for crossfit. They're so comfortable I even wear them to the movies and while playing tennis and doing basically anything else. I have three pair of them--1 of each color. There is only one minor issue w/ them: the laces come undone easier than any other shoe I have. I just double knot them though so it's not a big deal. Is sort of wierd addidas didn't fix this before production. You'll see what I mean if you buy these. And trust me, you should buy them. January 23, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Gazelle Great shoe. Super light. Feels as if im running on air. However it is not good for agility work. It also was a big too big on my foot. Other than those 2 problems a great shoe. September 4, 2012

Rated 5 out of 5 by Light as a gazelle I may be as big as an elephant but I move like a gazelle in these shoes it gives you a whole new running experience this is from a good old fashioned Texas football lineman December 7, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great jogging gear This is my first pair of official running shoes, I use them on my treadmill and they feel great. My feet are not sore after several miles and the natural form even makes things easier on my joints which I didn't expect. I know I was using the wrong type of shoe before and these really make the difference. I'm sure the performance will be just as great in the park when the weather warms here and they seem to be a good value for the money, two thumbs up! January 18, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by My feet have never been this happy let me start by saying I'm not a runner. I'm 6'3" 250 lbs, I'm a big guy. I don't like traditional running shoes because they hurt my lower back- I thought I'd give these a shot and they feel amazing. I haven't worn socks or any of my other shoes since I got them. The dayglo orangey red color is super fun.The sole has contoured to my foot and I have to say, I can still feel that my heel is very slightly higher than the ball of my foot, noticeable but not a bad thing. Also- I'm flat footed- I tend to wear vans and converse everywhere since they have no arches. The gazelles are my new favorite. If I could swing it, I'd get a 12 instead of 12.5. They will pack out and expand, so I'd go a half size smaller than what you regularly wear. the upper is an underarmour type material, lots of give. (The wind also cuts right through it, so don't wear these for cold days around town) Anyways, I love them. Ill keep an eye out for version 2 in the next few years, I'll definitely try out a pair. January 24, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great for going to the gym I'm not some hard core runner, but I will end up on the treadmill while I'm at the gym more often then not. I read a lot about how to go to "zero drop" sneakers and most individuals recommend you go from traditional shoes to a "zero drop" trainer. The reason for this is if you go from 15+mm of difference between your heal and toes, and that much padding under your heal, to a shoe that has 0mm difference (zero drop) your going to mess your legs up in the short term which could tunr you off from the whole experience. I've talked to people who have done this and they admit it was a painful time for them. That's what the Adipure Gazelle is for. It still has some padding, but it is extremely minimal, and honestly it's the lightest shoe I've ever worn. I actually thought Adidas shipped me an empty box by accident. They are great for running and lifting, the minimal padding has switched me away from being a heal striker when I run (without me changing my stride, the shoe just allows your foot to do what it should do), and they give a great stable base for when I'm using machines or free weights. My calves are a bit more sore now when I run, but honestly I run 3 miles without dying, and if I tried that before I would have been drenched in sweat wondering why I picked the treadmill. I'd highly recommend then for anyone looking to start training in "zero drop" shoes as the in-between pair, but I like them so much I might just keep wearing them till Adidas stops making them. February 12, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Not for me, but not a bad shoe I bought this shoe with no idea of what to expect. It is definitely a minimalist shoe and not enough lateral support for me. I intended to use the shoe for all purpose training (weights, cardio) and in my opinion its not suitable for that use. However, if you're a runner and you prefer running nearly bare foot, this shoe is for you. It is a comfortable shoe, fits almost like a sock with a thin sole. February 13, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by If you want to step into minimal running This is the shoe, great cost and fit!!! Plus you still get the spring and support that everyone looks for in a running shoe. Right out of the box I put down 5 miles with no aches or pains. I pebble did get stuck in the tread (but that could have happened with any shoe) Side note, buy the bumpy laces at any store so you don't feel them loosen up while running April 17, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by INVEST IN THESE SHOES! These shoes are so awesome, and are worth the price I paid for. Super light really comfortable and really stylish. I am a high school athlete I do track and XC so I really put on the miles. These shoes do the trick, the only problem that I have is the material is like a mesh almost fabric, but really durable and add to the comfort. January 17, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 Runs a bit big Love these shoes, they are lightweight and a big help when running except the only problem would be the size. I felt that it may have run just alittle big, that maybe a big difference to some people because of the fact that some people's feet may slide all over the place when they run. Other than that its a cool shoe. January 23, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by One of the best shoes I've ever owned These are one of the most comfortable shoes I've ever bought. Running feels much more natural in these shoes than any other I've had and I also where them on a regular basis at work. I recently purchased a second pair I liked them so much...I've never bought 2 of the same shoe. January 18, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Not perfect, but ok. I looked for a long time for a "less is more" running shoe that had a straighter last. Even though I could not find these in any local stores I ordered them on the hunch that they would have a similar fit to the adipure soccer shoes which I have worn for a couple years now. I would recommend these for people with straighter feet. I like the weight and feel of them. My only perfomance complaint is that my foot slides around in the toebox when making a tight turn. I think if the laces went down another set of eyes it would probably prevent that. Cosmetically, I wish they were available in white. I don't know why it is so hard to find white shoes anymore. I prefer to wear running shoes even for casual/work use and neon colors are a little too flashy for those purposes. The black is ok, but I would still prefer a white. Quality wise the second pair that I ordered came with the wrong insole in the right foot. It was probably meant for a size or 2 higher. I pulled out both insoles and trimmed it up to match the other one. April 18, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by great minimalist shoe really comfortable. Built well, feel like you are wearing nearly nothing, yet have a surprising amount of cushioning. Only been able to get out on a couple 2 mile runs, but the weight and comfort, while still having enough traction made both runs a real joy. February 26, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome Shoe I bought a pair of running shoes to get back in shape for hockey and that's just what I've been doing. These shoes are super lightweight and make running more enjoyable. I feel good, my feet feel good, and I am definitely training as I intended! January 24, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by runs small I wear a 10.5. Got the shoe and returned them because my toes rub at the toe of the shoe. I figured my toenail would rub right through the shoe in no time. It seamed comfortable when on in the house. If you buy them, get them a half size larger. March 24, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Cool shoes Wow this shoe are great, the best part is how the shoe was made. It was just brilliant, extra light and really comfortable. And help with people who heel Strike, which can really stop you from being fast or a better runner, AMAZING SHOE April 15, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by great shoe, highly recommend i just got them, so this is a review based on the first few weeks, but it's gone great. i love the shoes - they fit well, are super comfy, and help me run w/ less back pain. and they look really, really cool (the black ones) December 26, 2012

Rated 5 out of 5 by One word There is only one word to describe this product it is .... EXCELLENT June 13, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Wrong Size The shoes are great but they run a 1/2 size small so be sure to order a 1/2 size up from your "normal" shoe size... if such a thing exists anymore. Zero drop and light weight they're perfect for lifting weights. March 25, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome shoes Whether I am running 5-10 miles, or combining a shorter run with cross fit these shoes are extremely light, and fit very well. In fact, I honestly don't even tie the shoes, they form to your feet so well. March 2, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Do not suit my feet - painful I found these shoes put pressure on my arch. The shoe is also quite narrow and has an unfortunate hump under the arch on the inside of the shoe. I have managed to use them only by modifying the innersoles April 10, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome! So far these have been one of the best pair of shoes that I have purchased. Only downside is that there are not a lot of different colors available; maybe in the future you'll be able to design your own. March 6, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 Excellent bare-foot-like running shoes This is the first shoe I've worn that actually feel like running barefoot. I was very well used to running on Nike Free 3.0 v2 (about 1yr), but running on these was a completely different experience. They actually feel like running barefoot, which I do a few times a month to keep my caves in shape. I usually do it for no more than a mile, but these shoes are protective enough that I was able to run on them for 5K the first time I used them. I tried them on a 200m track (smaller and tighter turns), and I can say that they had enough grip to keep me at full speed in the turns (~ 7:00 min/mile pace), and they fit tightly enough to not slip from the foot during lateral motion (in normal running conditions). Just as advice for buyers: the thing that makes them great is the same thing that might make them dangerous for some people. What I mean is, heel strikers and runners with abnormal pronation will suffer in these shoes. Those starting the transition into natural running form might want to start with a slightly more cushioned shoe, or start with these at low speeds and short distances. March 6, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great recovery shoe Lightweight, upper comfortably wraps around my foot. A very responsive shoe. I bought them to wear after my workout. Not so great to walk around in when the ground is wet though. Fits true to size. March 14, 2013
