Rated 4 out of 5Â by showmetheworks Impressive... so far. So, I have yet to actually wear these out in the snow, rain or trail. Which was my purpose in buying them. However, after previously buying a pair of ACG's that obliterrated my feet a few years ago after only 6 miles - I've gotten accustom to wearing my new boots/trail runners around the house to break them in a bit. I've done that with these and here are the details. 1)Extremely comfortable. The inside is very minimal in design and it's very much like a sponged sock. Nothing to snag or scrape your foot inside - perfect. 2)Very warm and insulated. After an hour or so of just walking around my house to break them in, I've gotta take them off because they simply get toasty! A good thing if it's blistery outside or when your camping or hiking in the evening. Bad if it's moderately warm out and also there are no holes in the shoe for ventilation. 3)They look terrific! Remember this when your out on the trail. You might want to dress down the rest of your gear. These are semi flashy (depending on the color you get) and you wouldn't want to look like a raver out there in the sticks instead of an experienced trekker. UNless your going for that sort of thing which is cool too. ~PLUR 4)Boot clip in the back. Life saver. If I only had these 12 pairs of shoes and 8 pair of pants ago, sigh. Big win for this pair. Let's hope the rest of the world catches on. 5)Did I mention this is a very warm shoe? 6)The exterior is an easily wipe-able material similar to leather (not leather) which is good for mud and such after a trek. It's also practically seamless on the outside. 7)It's a boot. Might look like a cool tennis shoe, could act like a cool tennis shoe, but this is a boot. 8)The traction below is impressive. Can't wait to experience snow with these. Like i said, I've yet to put these to the test but aside from that little venture, I am happy with the purchase. I trek, hike, camp and climb tons and my previous pair of Nike ACG Talaria (Love these!!) have close to 500 miles on them and there still intact for more - even with a slight rubber mishap from a fire pit. I plan to keep these for the trail and the SlopeCrusier's for more serious, colder, wetter ventures. I'm a fan so far, lot's a great technology, comfortable and good looking. I'll keep you abreast of my first hike... Good luck! October 25, 2013
