I received my boots the other day and I wear a size 12 1/2 so I ordered the boots in that size. They do NOT fit and are so small that I can't even get my foot into it. I returned the boots and they promptly refunded the money. Ordered another pair in a bigger size and when the replacement arrived the box had the larger size on it but the boots inside were a 11 1/2. Not very happy about that and will be sending them back as well. Not going to order another pair online but will try to get them in a store where I can try them on.

I'm a fireman- paramedic but bought these boots for my part time job (light construction). From day 1 these boots very comfortable. Inner soul may be made of memory foam. I thought I would be wearing these around firehouse until I tried to take them off. Very difficult to remove to the point I would be missing calls trying to get these off so I can put on my bunkers. Not sure how the soft leather would hold up to heavy construction but if on feet all day these are great. And like the other reviews, if they had a zipper they would probably sell a million more!

Rated 5 out of 5Â by steven Excellent boot for many purposes
I had first heard of the GSG9 from a motorcycling friend. I was shopping for motorcycle boots, and was mixed between full-blown moto-specific boots, combat boots, and timberlands. Having seen the GSG9 on him, and having seen all the cool features, I decided to give it a shot and shell out the much-higher than usual price. Well, take it from a year and a half of motorcycling, offroading, trail hiking, and outdoor work, these are well worth it. Oh and i've been down in them on the bike (with no ill effects). Still going strong, though I need a replacement sole.
The first thing you will notice, is that they feel much more like sneakers than a work or combat boot. They are LIGHT and soft. Which is a huge bonus when you spend all day walking around or shifting the bike, or whatever else the day throws at you. Traction is phenomenal on slick surfaces (ever put your foot down on a motorcycle and found that it was sliding away from you? not in these you won't). They are comfortable in cold, they're not bad in heat, and they definitely outlast anything i've ever worn (usually I went through 2 pairs of timberlands or combat boots a year).

The look of these boots beats anything out there. Bates, 5.11, Converse, who ever. These boots look good.
As soon as you put them on you'll feel the AdiPRENE technology cushioning the bottom of your feet. At first it will be firm but it eventually settles leaving a formed cushion that gives you a very comfortable boot.
These are light weight waterproof boots that feel like sneakers. they have very good support around the ankles and the TRAXION allow it to function out in rough terrain.
The things I dislike about these boots. The laces they come with are really long sneaker laces. They should come with the stronger boot laces most boots come with. Another thing that has to do with the laces is one of the lace loops that's right in the middle of the boot is really weak and will break if you pull to hard when your tying up. The lack of a side zipper is a turn off, this means your going to have to tie and untie every time.
Overall the Adidas GSG9 is a well designed boot with a couple flaws. If you want a boot that doesn't feel like a boot and more like a comfortable pair of shoes these are for you.

Almost no break in period, incredibly comfortable, and a distinctive look. They are moderately weather proof, at least against Seattle weather, though after an hour in a moderately rainfall and puddles, you might notice some dampness creeping in around your toes. I put a fair amount of wear on them--40-50 miles a week--and they usually last about 9 months, at which point the outersole starts to crack laterally, and then you'll really notice the weather.
There's no cap toe or shank, so if you require puncture or crush resistance, these boots won't do.
Overall a great boot; I've had duty boots both more and less expensive, but I've had three pairs of GSG9.2s and I've no intention of ever buying any other boot (well, maybe a 9.3 for warmer dryer weather).

I have owned both the first and second generation GSG 9 Adidas tactical boots as well pairs of your competitors boots. I have not found a better boot then the GSG 9 or GSG 9 gen 2.
Let's start with the fact that these boots are the lightest boots I have ever worn. Second, your boots are the most comfortable I have worn as well. The traction is unrivaled in this boot.
I have worn these boots in the deserts of South West Asia to New Orleans after Katrina. Running to rappeling to fast ropping, these are the perfect tools in a operators tool box.
The only option I would love to see in future production of these boots is the ability to add a zipper package just for these boots or the addition of maybe a zip up front or a side zipper option.
Keep up the great work.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by Zsling Overall a good boot, but needs a little something!
I have had these boots for about a week and have tried them only around the house. Quality seems good and they fit much like a runner, except they are narrow fitting which I find more unsual for Adidas - good thing I bought an 11 over my usual size 10(thanks to the other reviews). They don't appear as durable as my previous other brand boots, however these are about half the price so if they last 1/2 as long I am still doing quite well with this choice.
I did find much like other reviews that these boots are harder to put on and off and could really use either a "side zipper" or even "lace hooks"... Adidas please listen and change for the next model and at least add hooks!
I would have gone with the lower cut version however it doesn't appear to be waterproof!?!

Rated 4 out of 5Â by Migs Great Duty Boot! Need to be wider though!
I have been wearing this boot now for approx. 1 Year and I alternate them w/another pair of duty boots.
So far, waterproof as described, and breathes pretty well.
The leather gets softer over time and has held up pretty well.
The soles are a bit too stiff and should probably be a little softer.
The knubby soles work well overall on most terrain.
The sizing is definitely off, I normally wear a 12 Wide but had to order a 13 regular but are still kind of tight in the fore-foot!
This boot has a narrow profile, therefore, those w/narrow feet are finding them perfect! However, those of us w/Wide feet need a Wide version of this boot and that would increase comfort and sales in my opinion!
Overall, a great boot! I would be comfortable stating these feel almost like Basketball Shoes!
Hopefully somebody at Adidas will read this and consider making these available in a Wide version!

Rated 3 out of 5Â by kilo Good, but could be so much better if....
No break in needed. Just lace up and go. But for law enforcement, this boot really needs a side zipper!!!! Also needs a higher shaft. Front of boot is 8 inches but dips to 6 inches in back. This causes BDU pant bands to slip off boot and dig into the back of my leg. Very painful. Offer this boot with a 10 inch shaft and side zipper and it would most likely become the number one boot for all law enforcement officers.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by mcraig GREAT BOOTS!!!
Iâm a big guy 6â2â 330 lbs. and these boots give great support for my ankles but they are still light and comfortable. I had to cook at a rodeo here in Texas last weekend and 8 hours on my feet in 103 degree weather and the boots kept my feet feeling fine! I read about these boots in the book Seal Team Six and everything the author said about them is true.
