Rated 2 out of 5 by Not a good fit Bought these as a Christmas gift - but had to send back. Shoes just didn't fit. Always wears a 10 Medium, but he couldn't even get his foot into these - they were that narrow. Finally took the shoe laces out (completely - thinking maybe the shoes were laced too tightly - and, while he could then get his foot into the shoe, the shoe was so narrow at the arch of the foot), that they hurt his foot. So - back to adidas.com they go. As for the look? They look better in the photos. The colors & design look great - but the shiny plastic accents make the shoes look like $39 specials, and not $160+ shoes. Disappointing. December 27, 2012

The only real question is, can it be repeated with each new edition? Well, it has! The D Rose 3 does NOT disappoint. As you will read in other reviews, it's light, comfortable, and stylish. However, there's that something extra that this particular model has. It's a "statement" shoe. The Adidas imprint recognized, respected, and reaching all cultures of people through sports and fashion. The D Rose name standing for family, hard work, humility and determination. They fit tightly at the ankle for support, but open up a bit more and allow the foot to expand a lot like the newer running shoes. I recommend them to anyone that will listen. October 31, 2012

I love the iconic 3 stripes for adidas and drose that extends on to the bottom of the shoe. The herringbone traction is awesome and the rubber seems to hold up outdoors. Rated 5 out of 5 by Nightmare Rose 3 Shoes look so nice in person, the detail put into the Nightmare Rose 3 is amazing. Adidas really nailed it with the concept and execution. Comfort wise they take a few wears to break in and for cushioning to go from stiff to softer feel. $180 isn't the best price point, but its worth it on a detailed shoe like this one. Rated 4 out of 5 by Little too narrow I ordered them on Sunday and got them four days later. I was really excited. I love the shoe but I hate how I have to squeeze it on every time. I am a size 11 and these are just really narrow. I'd go up a half size if you're looking into buying them yourself. Overall great I guess after you break them in. They look great too! Rated 5 out of 5 adidas D Rose 3 Traction: 8.5/10 These new D Rose 3 shoes sport a great look as the 3 stripes go down and onto the soles of your shoes, it definitely looks great while you run. However, the D Rose 3 did not surprise me that much with the job of sticking onto the court in terms of changing direction fast, not a major deal. Cushioning: 6/10 Maybe it's just my opinion but cushioning was maybe the worst aspect of the D Rose 3's. Maybe the shoe came with a lighter sole, and also a more soft sole like the Crazy Light 2's and 1's. However with the soles that came with my shoe, the D Rose 3's hurt my foot quite some bit while breaking into, a just a little bit now. I think adidas could of done a better job with this. Ankle Support: 9/10 The D Rose 3's ankle support is far more superior to the D Rose 2.5's, the nice collar and lining wrapped around my ankle, creating a comforting, soft feeling while on the court. Breathability: 8.5/10 The breathability on the D Rose 3's was a surprise, as the appearance shows small holes on the sides. I didn't expect much breathability, though when playing in these shoes, it was one of the best components of this shoe. Responsiveness: 9/10 The lower amount of cushioning in the D Rose 3's almost allowed for a more responsive feeling while changing directions, and performing jukes. The lightweight nature of the shoe also accounted for the responsiveness, this shoe was great in this aspect. Longevity: 9/10 So far, the D Rose 3's have a great appearance, feel, and resilience. It won't bend and tear under constant competitive games. It would be a good idea to rub down the soles once in a while to get rid of excess dust that accumulated over time. Rated 5 out of 5 by Stylish & Super Light Even though I haven't played in the D Rose 3 yet, I can tell you that these are they greatest guard shoe. I like how the sprint web inside the leather give better lateral support and give an excellent hug to my adizero speedwrap for my right foot. The sprint frame really stiffens my heel plus the cushioning was very responsive as it were memory foam inside the shoe. I'm only wearing these on the job and on the hardwood. Thank you D Rose for personalize a great shoe. And as a staff member, I really hope you come back on the court as soon as you're 100% cleared to go. April 27, 2013

Rated 4 out of 5 by Comparable to Jordans Style is fresh, they look original and sleek. Normally I would not buy adidas for basketball shoes. They are too heavy and they are just not normally the route I would go. The New D Rose 3's are slim and light weight, not to mention they look sick. They are a bit too narrow for my foot and I dont have a wide foot at all. So i would not recommend to a person with a wide foot, but otherwise they are a good buy. December 9, 2012

Rated 5 out of 5 by Nightmare D Rose 3- A Well Executed Concept Just got my pair today from the restock and they're gorgeous and even better in person. For me, once they were re-laced, the shoe opens up to a true to size and snug fit without any tight spots. Unlike the recent Crazy Light 2s, these have an accommodating width. I actually liked the comfort without having to break it in- I didn't really find it stiff. In fact, I like the responsiveness of the EVA. The Geofit collar does a good job of wrapping without being restrictive and the shoe flexes and transitions nicely. Love the purple and black coloblocking on the "Nightmare Before Christmas" edition. The upper is a lot more vivid than the stock pic depicts and it was hard to stop staring down at my feet. Haven't tried the glow in the dark yet, but the striped laces and speckled midsole are nice touches. With the inclusion of a hang tag, bag, and new box to make up the special packaging, this really has a premium feel to the whole concept. And to top it off, the D Rose logo is one of the sickest logos in a long time- an aspect of a true signature. January 11, 2013
