Best pair of shoes I bought in a long while. I work in the film industry and we do alot of walking outdoors. These shoes are perfect on all conditions, love the traction on it when I am working on slippery areas.
I'm a mail carrier and I walk 10 miles a day and these shoes are very light and comfortable. In the past the shoes I purchased from Adidas were too narrow in the toe area but on this shoe it seems like Adidas improved and made wider.
I like adidad brand much. Last year i bought a shoe from adidas online which was in clearance and im using it till date. Perfect quality long lasting usable. Adidas offers discount then and there. Still looking forward to buy new products if i get high discounts
This shoe is as solid as it looks....tough in every way. The outer sole is massive and extends a fair bit beyond the heel width of the shoe and will surely provide excellent traction on any type of flat or inclined surface. I've never regretted any ADIDAS purchase and that includes this one!!
Took these to Defqon.1 in the Netherlands, and couldn't be happier with my purchase. Tons of hard music, mud, rain, and dancing like a maniac for 3 days couldn't breach these shoes, and I highly highly recommend these for festival goers. Took a beating and just kept going. Took them home and scrubbed them off, ready to go for daily use or another festival with just a little elbow grease!
Out of the box, these look amazing. Even though mine fitted half a size too small, it still felt comfortable. The boost feels springy and the ankle strap gives extra support that is welcome. Returned them for half a size bigger. The grip is also noteworthy.
I bought these shoes as I had greatly enjoyed Adidas' Ultra Boost for road training and running (a fantastic shoe) but I'm building to a trail based ultra and wanted a grippier and more resistant upper. Its a superb shoe out of the box: comfortable, supportive and with excellent energy return. I'm delighted. My only complaint is the colour scheme which is as dull as can be.
I bought these shoes specifically for work in an Emergency Room. They've held up great and been super comfortable. I'm on my feet 12 hours a day for 3-4 days a week and have had no discomfort. The GoreTex has been good enough to keep blood, urine and vomit out of my socks. Other water resistant options like clogs, crocs, or work boots aren't are comfortable. The laces are the weak design of the shoes. They are made of 2 layers of different nylon, the inner hard core lasts forever but is too slippery to remain tied after the soft outer layer is worn off.
These should have been excellent. There is one design feature that made them impossible for me to use: the lacing area is off center, toward the inside of the foot. In the case of my one weird foot this put laces directly on a nerve on my ankle bone, in 2 places. Excruciatingly painful. If the lacing area was moved toward the outside, or padding added, it might fix it. On the normal foot the size was perfect: the boots run narrow, but so's my foot. If the one problem wasn't there they would have been a dream pair of boots.
Unbelievably narrow shoe. Wearer could order 1/2 to full size larger and still find this shoe unbearable. I'm finding it hard to believe this shoe even made it to production. There must be enough guys out there with abnormally narrow feet that it didn't matter. Very disappointing.
Great boot. I normally wear a 10.5 and these felt a tad bit too small, so definitely try them on first! I ordered mine online.... But still they feel great. Comfortable and great traction. I did cut the "excess" lace on the speed laces, which I regret now. I don't know where to get a replacement speed lace set! But amazing boots!
Had a credit I needed to use with Adidas, saw these and thought, those are different...so, I bought them. When I received them, I wasn't impressed. But, after wearing them for about 10 minutes, I fell in love! They are comfortable, stylish, and not many people have them. I wish they came in more than 3 colors....
bought especially for Tough Mudder after competing wearing Kanadia TR4's for the last 4 years. I have found them very comfortable so far, and see no issue with using them again for the event this year
Tried 5km out of the box on trail with blister in left ankle sore toes uselly 10-20km on asphalt with the adistar boost 2 tried 33.2 km 189cm 110kg heavyweight no problem . Feels comfy though maybe for standing shoes do work . 46 and 46size shoe versus not available in 46 2/3 so does not cut for me.Allways liked me adidas.
I've been buying this shoe for the last 3 years .It's been one of the best shoes i've ever owned .Very comfortable to wear all day long in any condition. Now they have changed the insoles and totally ruined this shoe .Without the old style insoles these feel like any other cheap shoes ,absolutely no arch support or lateral support at all. There even painful just trying to stand in all day.I'm very disappointed in there new product.
As Adidas designers continue on the their path of shrinking the toebox to over-constrain the human foot we now have designs that for D widths are too narrow. One more 1/8 of an inch in width and height across the ball of the foot at the outer edge is apparently too much to ask as we the people have been complaining for the last few years that all of the adidas designs are migrating to dimensions that simply don't work for the majority . its a shame that they don't get it but alas I will have to move on to manufacturers that understand that the toes, especially the pinky toes need some space to live. give us back a toebox, your sock like fit isn't working out. Other than this the quality and construction of the shoe itself is impressive.
I recommend the shoes as I wear them hiking on rugged trails that vary in dey to muddy conditions. They are very comfortable and have kept my feet dry in wet conditions. The only complaint is the lace broke when pulling to tighten the shoes. Where can I find these laces?
Just got them yesterday. Very comfortable. Bought them 1 size up to allow for heavier socks in fall and winter. Comfortable for all day use. Like the bungee laces. I also like the look of the shoe. Got a lot of compliments.
Brings back a lot of energy while running. The shoe is absolutely comfortabe. It is phantastic to run with it compared with my 5 years old Adidas trail run shoes. I will never change it. Adidas - you did a perfect job!
Adidas trainers fit me perfectly but these boots are a narrow fit. My foot felt claustrophobic in them. Shame as they are good quality and if wider they would have been perfect but I had to return them.
the grip on this shoe is nuts. when i first got them you could hear them literally peel off the tarmac when you walk. The upper is soft and flexible as well as the ankle sleeve. the boost foam is as good as it always is. the best thing though is that it seems Adidas have finally gone with a more neutral colour-way. very comfortable and stable shoe.
Dry, fast light, and durable. There's nothing more to say really... Low quarter alternative to their old raid boots that you can't get any longer. Addidas, please make a tactical boot version of this shoe
I am a serving police officer and have been in the job for close to 2 years now and have been out looking for the best boots for the job as I have a sensitive foot and was looking for a boot that would take care of my foot as previously owned boots have left my foot with painful corns. However I Read the Lone survivor novel and watched the movie with Mark Wahlberg where the Adidas GSG9 was used I decided to try it out and the GSG9.7 was my selection because it's not partened as my force policy. I have now been using the boot for since I bought them and they are the best things that ever happened to my foot, they are all I ever wanted in a patrol boots . They are very comfy, light, water resistant and breathable.
I've been choosing between this and response trail boost and decided to go after raven since it offers a bit more protection. i've ran in this shoe quite a bit on terrain that includes gravel, mud, rocks, softer soil downhills in woods full of leafs, roots and stones and also snow in the winter. I can say that outsole is great. The grip it offers is fenomenal, sort of speedcross 3 like but I think a bit better on flat rocks. It ran a bit narrow at the beggining in upper mid foot where laces are , so i started out with thinner socks and after a few runs it got better. It still feels a bit narrow but not in the way that it wouldn't be comfortable. I didn't have any running experience in boost cushioned shoes before since I only tried them on in a shop. Since raven doesn't have rockplate I was a bit worried that the shoe would be to soft and I would feel every tiny rock and root which can sure cause pain sometimes. I can gladly say that this is not the case, yes you can feel when you step on sharper stones or roots especialy under midfoot, but it feels really cushioned, no pain or anything. boost is great and if there happens to be some tarmac between your trail runs, you wont have any problems. I wish shoe would be a tinny bit more lighter and stable, but I have the same complaints with almost every trail shoe so I think this wouldn't be a problem for most of runners. Great shoe, would definitely buy again.
These boots are very light, so you don't feel bogged down by them. They also offer a lot of grip and are very sturdy, so there is no compromise between weight and protection. I have been wearing them for the past weeks and have had no issues. Make sure you buy a half size bigger than you need, and they will be perfect. The only criticism is that they are quite hard to get on, so they could use a loop at the top of the boot to help pull them on.
