Rated 4 out of 5 by Hanae Gives me all workout data I need without a chest strap
As a woman I had ditched heart rate monitors years ago because I found the chest strap very uncomfortable when worn with a bra. I love that Smart Run can measure heart rate from the wrist without needing a strap. I can see all necessary info when running (HR, speed, distance, time) and it fits my small wrist very comfortably. It's handy that Smart Run syncs the data after each workout automatically and the touch screen makes it easy to use without having to memorize what a bunch of buttons do. If only it would come in PINK! :)

Fits well for me
Data is great
Only one charger & no chance to buy another one
GPS takes too long to fix. My partner has a garmin & when we run together my gps takes between 2-5 minutes to fix while hers is instantaneous.
Battery life initially was very poor, but did improve
Bought the watch in December 2013 to run and train for the NY Marathon on 2 November 2014. In late October 2014 the watch stopped working, perhaps the battery was done. I ended up using my partner's garmin for the marathon
The back of my watch is similarly corroded as others who have already posted photos
The watch is currently dead, & by the time I got back from NY, the one year warranty had expired.

Rated 3 out of 5 by hackedoff brilliant concept, flawed delivery
I've only had my micoach a week now, but straight away I noticed some glaring flaws despite applying the latest update.
Getting Bluetooth headphones connected and a quality connection is difficult.
1. Pairing my Denon exercise freak headphones for the 1st and subsequent connections to the watch is a recurring nightmare.
after turning the headphones on and then turning on the watch Bluetooth function I get the spinning wheel of do-nothing from the watch.
I have to leave the watch's Bluetooth on, open the Bluetooth pairing channel on the headphones, restart the watch and hopefully the watch finds and pairs with the headphones - every time I go for a run!!
2. When I connect the, even both fully charged headphones & watch, if I hold my watch arm straight for a sustained period the music stream gets stuttery. I've tried swapping wrists to possibly eliminate cross-body interference with the right ear side Bluetooth receiver. But there's no difference.
I've also noticed wearing the watch and a suit makes the problem worse.
3. Maximum volume with this combination is poor.
4. I know it's not the headphones fault because they pair & play easy &smoothly & are loud with at least three other streaming devices I own.

Great watch but how do you reset the timer when you lap something so that you can see your current counting time rather than the total time? I know it gives you your lap time after but I want to see it counting during sessions.

Rated 2 out of 5 by RunnerinOz Not happy Jan!
Well at $500 you would expect something pretty top notch. I have had mine for about 3 months now. Issues:
1. Very very poor battery life compared to my old Garmin or Nokia Lumia 1020.
2. Very very poor GPS lock compared to my old Garmin or Nokia Lumia 1020.
3. Very very poor GPS tracking (some of the routes it tracked on my circuit!) compared to my Nokia Lumia 1020 using Micoach or Runtastic.
This is all hardware related.
Some good attributes:
2. Bluetooth connectivity etc
These are software related and not particularly special to Smart Run.
Mine will not turn on now (and yes it has been charged up).
I would wait until the technology improved.

Rated 3 out of 5 by sydeowt Works great, but band too small.
I have used this watch for about 3 months. Most of the features work great, and the productivity during the runs has improved quite a bit, which was why I waited a while to purchase. The downside: because I'm a bigger guy (6'4" / 240lbs), the "one size fits all watch strap" is way too small for me. I have it on the absolute largest setting, and couldn't wear the watch for more than 20 minutes without it creating issues with the skin on my wrist and circulation in my hand. Over time, I've had to put the watch down because I can't wear it at all without getting a reaction pretty quickly. I'd love to see some fix to extend the circumference of the existing strap so I can wear this again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by pheed No more chest straps..yay
Build quality of unit is top notch, just make sure to wipe the HeartRate sensor area (or the whole underneath of watch) with a damp cloth so the residual salts from body is removed from watch surface...do this after every run. This should minimize chances of rust that i have heard few folks complain about. Apart from that unit performs fine, you get access to MIXRADIO, GPS lock is quick. Internal memory is wee bit limited compared to my 16GB MotoActv , in run telemetry updates are synced whilst online - via Wifi and the miCoach website is very nicely laid out, allowing for progress/history etc... overall am very happy with purchase.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Roastman Poor GPS tracking but great features
I really want to love this watch. If it were not for the very inaccurate GPS tracking, I WOULD love it. Features and operation are fantastic. I could add a couple of features, but it is one of the best concepts I have seen (takes the old Motoactv to a new level). The major issue is very poor GPS tracking. I am finding distances to be inconsistent at best, which also upsets the pace calculations. If they fix this, the Smart Run will be a great device. If they can then improve the battery life or add a Fitbit style activity tracker, it will be nearly perfect. If they fix the GPS with later firmware upgrades, I will wholeheartedly change my recommendation on this product. If they don't, I will be returning it, as it is useless if the GPS is not consistent.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Renando Smart Run - work in progress
I had this on my wrist within days of its Australian release. A user of micoach for the last two years with the Pacer first then the Speed_Cell and HRM to my phone, it helped me lose 15 kg and get fit for the first time in 20 years, safely. Having just graduated to outside running from treadmill, I was finding my iPhone was unreadable outside. The Smart Run was just what I wanted, having the benefit of the training programs and Micoach feedback easily usable outside. Good things: comfort; weight; bluetooth headphones work well; screen easy to read; wireless syncing; ease of use and setup. Problems: takes 1 min to find GPS; when GPS loses signal, puts your speed to zero; GPS glitches add km's extra distance, messing up your stats. It needs some code making sure speed/distance makes sense, and better interpolation. The inability to edit the GPS data once the workout is complete frustrates me - I would love to correct the path to ensure my overall and instantaneous stats are correct. Using the device, you know that it will end up as an awesome tool, and I hope for regular updates to keep improving it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by AndyDre Good watch but poor battery
Everything is good apart from battery life. It last only one day max. I've been used it for almost a year now and it look like battery isn't that good anymore. I use it quite a lot . Need to repair but cannot find place to do. Real bad for it.
