I'm 5'9" tall, 185 lbs, medium build, and I wear size 10.5 for normal shoes, so I decided to buy 10.5 in these Adipowers. Weightlifting shoes are not meant to provide the cushioning and comfort at the level of flip-flops, Nike Roshes, and whatever other shoes are out there today. These are weightlifting shoes. These fit snug around all sides of my feet, which is better than having a weightlifting shoe that is not snug or leaves too much room. I have slightly wide feet, so sometimes I require the wider version of some shoes if they are available. In terms of width, the 10.5 sized Adipowers fit me just right. Had I gone up a size, to 11, it would definitely be more comfortable, but I would have been left with too much room on all sides to spare, which would not be beneficial for stability and safety reasons. However, tightening the straps and laces excessively sometimes causes me some discomfort during lengthy workouts. This may be because I have to wear in the shoe some more since I've only had them for a month. Then again, tightening any shoe too much cuts of circulation to the foot. Anyway, lengthwise, these Adipowers leave me with about an inch of space in the toe box, which is optimal for the splaying of the feet during movement. Quality-wise, I think the quality of these weightlifting shoes are worth the price you pay for them. They will last years if you don't abuse them, but I've known many friends that have the old red ones and the Adistars, and they've held up nicely over the years. Overall, I would highly recommend this product!
Nice Shoes. In the beginning I wasn't sure on the sizing. I tried on a pair of Adidas running shoes and ordered off of that. First putting them on it was tight and I did not think they were the right size. After lacing them up and strapping in they felt great. They were comfortable and fit perfct. Lifting: Awesome. During squats I felt like my feet were in conrete and stable. Helped me squat a little deeper, it felt comfortable and stable. Would highly recomend.
I have had my FitSmart for a couple years. I only recently started wearing it all the time. I decided to start tracking my activity. It will just reset it's time to 12:00, losing all my data. I can just be sitting there, walking, doesn't matter. If it decides, my info is gona and I have to sync again to get it to the correct time. Super frustrating when you're trying to track progress. Would recommend this to everyone if it didn't have this issue. Would like to know why this keeps happening and if it is happening to others. If I can't get it to correct, I'll have to switch brands.
I have incorporated squats into my leg workout every week but my technique has always suffered. After having reviewed a tutorial on Youtube, I took the plunge and bought the proper footwear for doing squats and the proper waist belt. I haven't looked back. The proper equipment helps to attain the proper technique. These shoes are a necessity to all who aspire to get the best out of their squat.
Nice urban camo design, tight without being too constricting, clima cool makes them very breathable. Stitching around the crotch means you get less visible 'bulge', which is great for me as I wear them at the gym, I wouldn't recommend wearing no underwear as they can become slightly see through when stretched. Great for squatting and lunges, no bunching material or sagging waistband! I'm 6'2 with fairly muscular legs, I bought a size L and they fit perfectly but I can see how they would be a bit long if you were a shorter guy.
I bought the same shirt, same model and size in black right after Christmas. Loved it. Thought I would buy a different color so I did. So disappointing. The shirt was way too big for a small, I mean big, like large big. The last one was the same size and it was perfect. I don't got it.
Overall perfect sports essential watch. Tells the time, then with one button shows you your Steps, Distance, Calories burned and more. Calories burned calculates the active calories and passive calories as well, so there's no more guessing. Tracking a Gym workout or Run on the street/treadmill is super easy to do, it's accurate, and super user friendly with the miCoach Train & Run app, and it syncs quickly through bluetooth. The app also offers free training and running programs based on your goals, and has an in-ear coach that you can listen to. The Heart Rate monitor is perfect for training, and there is also a progress bar on the side of the display that shows you how close you are to hitting your goal. NOTE: The picture makes the watch look like a hard plastic type of material, however it is really silicone. Very soft against your skin.
Got these in both camo and black. I find these have greater range of motion than other Adidas compression shorts, even Techfit I've had in the past, but aren't quite as substantial as others. For one they lack the little plasticy bands at the bottom, which sort of mimic kinesiology tape and add a bit of extra compression. They also aren't as thick, which is good in the sense that they offer lighter, cooler, more flexible compression. Also, the gusset in the crotch doesn't extend over the butt, so they ride up more easily. They are basically high-grade underwear, which is great, really, but there are better hardcore sport options as well. I have a 29-30 waist and wear small but that is pushing it. If your waist is any bigger, go Medium or larger.
Got a pair of these tights in my standard size (small) and they seemed smaller than most techfit bottoms (pants and shorts) that I've had in the past. They are even smaller than team issue and other various Adidas compression, which I think fit even smaller than techfit. Anyway, maybe I got a defective pair as the waistband ripped off within and hour. The irony about these, though, is that the material of the legging bit is actually incredible. It is super-flexible but still offers compression, great for a complete range of movement to a degree I've never encountered in a compression tight, including past techfit styles. The material here is also lighter and thinner. Not sure what went wrong with mine--whether they were defective, or the material too thin and they really should be folding the waistband over the material before sewing so there isn't just one flimsy seem. II'd even blame myself for buying too small a size but all my other techfit gear still fits in the same size and I bought the exact matching shorts to these and they fit fine.) Maybe Adidas decided to tighten the waist on the tights as a loose waist on tights can lead to tights coming down when a person is running in them, somewhat unlike shorts. At any rate, even if you have a slim waist, as I do, go up a size from your usual is my only advice if you want these.
Overall I like the shirt. Only wish it wouldn't ride up when I run. I have the base tights too and the shirt always rides up so I have to constantly pull it back down during a run. A thin strip of clear rubber around the bottom might solve the problem!
I was a fan - these WERE great workout T-shirts - 85% poly 15% cotton - now - as others have noted they are 100% poly - not as comfortable and not as good a fit. Too bad....should have bought more back in the day :(
The socks look great. The feel durable and comfortable. However, they were advertised as training socks on adidas.com, and they turned out to be soccer socks. This isn't a huge issue as the socks are great. It's just for those who are nit-picky. Otherwise, these are fantastic socks, and look great on feet.
I've only had a few work outs in them but so far they are fitting and working great. No issues with manufacture can be found, no loose threads or mis-aligned parts. I wear a US 11D and these fit me very well. As you expect, these are Very Supportive from heal to ball of foot but do allow comfortable flex at the ball of the foot for OLY lifting.
I have tried this product on a couple of runs I am a slightly larger gent with no issues, would recomend these for any activity. Bought three more pairs that good. Tiny critisim is that the labels are awkward to get out without pulling stitching picky really.
I have read it runs narrow, and did notice this a bit in the toe box, but not for long. Once I wore it around and tightened the strap around the back of the foot, it no longer felt tight, but rather secure. I use it primarily for squats and overhead press, and it's fantastic. I can walk around the gym fairly comfortably, it's stable and non-compressible, without being too heavy. I haven't tried the Romaleos, but am very satisfied with this shoe.
highly recommended it to everyone. I purchased a XL but it kinda tight for me then i decided to going up to XXL and then the XXL is perfect fit, comfortable except for the back length of the shrit is slightly short so i dont know it suppose to be like that or what but whatever.
After having worn these for about a year I cannot imagine anything else being better. At the very least the bar has been set pretty high. The stability with these shoes when catching weight is second to none.
My husband really likes these shoes. He was weightlifting with his crossfit sneakers and he says that they make a big, big difference. He definitely recommends them and says that he would buy another pair in a different color
I was searching on the site to find more pairs of the sock I'm currently wearing. I can't find the black pair, but I'm certain these are the exact same sock I came here to find but in white. For anyone who wants white socks, these will NOT disappoint. Sadly I'm a bit disappointed that I can't find the black version on the website to replace this tattered 4 year old pair I'm wearing :(
First pair of lifting shoes. Fit true to size. Very comfortable. Sturdy in heel especially noticeable when squatting, also in military/push press yet enough flex to walk around gym without issue. No real grounds for comparison but very happy overall with shoe.
perfect fit i am 36" waist 6'2" tall was dubious about the length when they came out of the packet (they looked like 3/4 length) but once tried on the stretch in the material was really good without being too tight great product quality
A fantastic compression base layer that does exactly what it says on the tin by keeping you cool and dry throughout. I purchased as I already had the long sleeve version that I have used throughout the winter months and have been incredibly impressed with its performance throughout.
Overall, the heel adds a great benefit. Pro: - good style -big heal - solid sole and nice strap Con: - laces don't pull tight enough - I have wide feet, went a half size up. Still not wide enough -gel layer on tongue tore within first week; not sure what the purpose of that layer even is
Judging the size of these shoes before lifting in them will only make you paranoid you bought a small shoe. At home I thought I should have gotten a .5 to 1 size larger. However, in the gym and lifting they were extremely secure and confident. Very happy with them.
If you're at all serious about your squatting, these shoes are what you need. Feels amazing, allows for a very smooth movement. Only issue I had is that they're slightly more narrow than they appear in the photos. I expect them to expand a little with time, as with most shoes. If you're on the fence with these, you can feel comfortable taking the plunge.
