I bought the mi coach smart soccer ball for my son. He loves the game and loves to play. He prefers to train with the ball instead of playing video games, so this definitely gets him off the couch and makes him active outside. The ball is amazing! It actually shows real time data tracking speed, spin, trajectory, etc after each kick. My son won't stop training or playing with it. He loves the challenges included with the app. This ball is a definite must have for any soccer player. Adidas does it again, creating innovative and practical equipment and apparel. Thanks Adidas! !
I originally bought this ball for myself and within a very short space of time the technique that the ball had helped my with was transferable to any ball I would kick, it made my game play more competent and confident and meant that my processing speed was much quicker on the ball and the accuracy of what I do with it has increased dramatically. I now use the ball with my students (9-16) and the rate with which they improve with the knowledge of how to strike a ball well and the understanding of different ways of manoeuvring the ball for crossing, fading, curling and knuckling is astounding. All of the students I have worked with when asked "what do you do when you kick the ball?" reply "I run up and kick it" and the improvement in their consistency, accuracy and power comes from having a knowledge of kicking process and technique from the ball and app. They love using the ball both for the novelty of using an electric football and because it takes them from playground football to a detailed and successful kicking method. It was easy to find the app underwhelming and trivial at first but once individual aspects of kicking are changed even in the smallest of ways a very visible difference is apparent and my feelings of mild disappointment were gone. The general consensus from all that have used the ball is that it is a work of brilliance. Yes it is expensive but worth investment for both improvement as a footballer and a productive use of MANY hours working on kicking technique.
I have been using the FIT Smart for several weeks now and it has exceeded my expectations. After playing with the watch for about 15 minutes I was able to get a good handle on the interface, which is very simple. It has three buttons, a multi-purpose "select/home" button and two scrolling buttons. What I really like about the watch is that it doesn't have excess features that you won't want to use. It has several useful modes (assessment, free workout, planned workout) and that's it. Simple. Syncing with your MiCoach app is done via bluetooth. The watch actually looks pretty good too. I have a black watch and wear it most places. The watch is almost entirely covered in rubber and is easy to keep clean. From the coach perspective, I have used these watches with my athletes to prescribe them workouts during their off days or when rehabbing injuries. You have to create a MiCoach profile for them, but after you do that, it is easy to have them do the assessment workout and then assign them conditioning based on their HR zones. Just an FYI it seems to work better to run the assessment test outside as opposed to on a treadmill. Regardless, you may want to run the assessment several times before using the HR zones. This will allow you to get the most out of the test.
I would recommend this ball to anyone that wants to be a better shooter. I had friends and teammates from all levels try this ball out with me and I've heard great feed back from them as well. My teammates loved this ball and professional coaches recommend this ball for any level to get better and succeed in the sport. The ball helps you to become a better player. You can see your shot improve within a week. This ball is worth the price you pay for it. Best ball I've ever played with can't wait for it to come out!
The idea of a ball that coaches you through a free kick is astonishing! When I was training, to become better with free kicks, it was based on feel, trial and error. Trying to analyze precisely where the ball was struck, how much rotation and power that was applied was almost impossible. Now, with the new Adidas Smart Ball and App, players can see where the ball was exactly struck, how much rotation and power was applied and the flight path. This will help players move leaps and bounds a head, at a much faster pace. Simply put, this is phenomenal! The App is where the genius is! Taking an ample amount of data and breaking it down into simple instructions and information that can be easily translated to the general consumer. The App also has designed games for competitive fun!
This knee pad is great I play ball for my high school team and in a game i went up for a lay up and i got laid out landed and on my knees. So I decided to buy these pads. I wish it came in a pair though because i had to buy two. The first day I got them I wore them to my game and bumped knees with someone coming off a screen and i felt little pain due to the pad. I had planned on only wearing them until my knees stop hurting but i got used to playing in them and now i don't play without them. Definitely recommend you purchase these
When I'm not using these kneepads for basketball or volleyball, I can garden in them or use them as shinguards for soccer. If you want to know more about the sizing, measure the circumference of your calf. S=11"-13", M=13"-14, L=14"-16, XL=17"-18", 2XL=18"-20" Thanks adidas!!
I ordered two Large Black adidas Techfit adiPower Padded Leg Sleeves and I'll be ordering more. Since I needed a padded knee sleeve for both my knees, these do more than a good job. I torn the ACL in my right knee 10 years ago and these Padded Leg Sleeves give me the compression support, as well as, the protection from the padding to play basketball everyday. After playing with these padded knee sleeves for hours the pain in both knees has been reduced by at least 80% in the hours after taking them off. On top of these good qualities, the Graphic Knee Pads are an officially licensed product of the NBA and worn by Derrick Rose and many other NBA players around the league. The fit is great, with minimal sliding down your thigh and calf. Just make sure you wash them on delicate cycle in the washer and hang dry after so they last. 5-stars across the board and a must buy for anyone that plays basketball and other sports as well.
This was purchased as a birthday present for my 14 year old son. It wasn't on his birthday list so was a gamble.....however, it was fantastic, his face was a picture as this is one of the latest in gadgets (unbeknown to me). In his words it was "the best present EVER". It was extremely easy to set up and link to his I-phone. The delivery was very speedy and was packaged well, so no signs that this was a football. I now have a garden full of teenagers or should I say budding world champion footballers!!
I love this product. I had the "Zone" when it came out and loved the simplicity of that for training and now they have came out with a better version that easily syncs to my iphone to download all my stats for review later. The changing colors relative to your HR zones is great, as well as the overall ease of use and simplicity. I even got one for my wife and she is so not tech savy at all, and she also likes how simple and easy it is. That says a lot..... If there was one critic is that the large band is really large and I should have got the small as there is no medium I believe. Other than that love the product. Keep up the good work.
I had such a great experience with the smart ball. The touch on it was amazing. I learned a lot of new ways to strike the ball and where to hit it which will help me in my professional career as a soccer player. I also learned new things about how hard I kick it, how fast the ball travels, and the rotation on the ball which I didn't think it was possible. I definitely will recommend this product to players young and experienced, and coaches.
This is a good product but I don't like how there is only one sleeve per pack. I need a pad for both of my knees so having to spend $40 just to be protected is bad. I wish these were like the McDavid pads that come with two per pack for only $30. I think this is a great product but I think they should come with two pads per pack.
product is great, the sizing is inaccurate on the product page. I docked a star since the sizing is so incorrect, I had to pay $20 just in return shipping since i had to reorder twice. I'm 6'6", 195lb. I ordered a Large initially given that my calf is 15.75-16", I couldn't get the Large on. Returned for XL and is still pretty tight. I would probably go with XXL if your calf is 16" or larger, I would prefer XXL myself. The sizing on the box is better, describing sizing up to XXL but still isn't accurate, saying that a large fits a 15.5" calf. I disagree. Either way, it's the thigh part that was way too tight, if you had large thighs, order size up. I feel the sizing info is misleading since I wear a Large of the same product for the GFX Padded shorts. I shouldn't have to order Large for one and XXL for the other. Product review: not much to say here, it's what you would expect though I'd prefer a bit more padding length. One more thing: no clue what the XLT vs XL means. The product packaging is all in French and doesn't mention what the T means in XLT so not sure. I wish adidas cared more about this stuff, really annoying to spend money to return a product due to them neglecting to provide proper info. My advice; order larger than you would expect.
I found the FitSmart to be a great tool to keep me constantly updated throughout my training sessions. Not having to deal with a chest strap to monitor my heart rate was a great appeal, and for runs, the FitSmart stayed locked in on my heart rate without any problems. I also compared it to my Garmin GPS watch, and the distance reading was identical, so I'm not at all concerned about the lack of GPS function here - no calibration needed either! I also noticed that the FitSmart pretty well nailed my Stride Rate during a run, which was something I wasn't expecting, but was happy to see when I completed my first run. The colored zone indicators are great, even during weight training sessions to keep me working at the right intensities just using the Free workout option. I'm 68" tall, 190lbs, and a medium build, and the Small FitSmart fits me great. The silicone band was slick and comfortable, and the display is pretty cool. I have the White FitSmart, and it draws positive attention at the gym. It pairs well with my Samsung Galaxy S4 - (so happy to have a wearable that syncs w/ Android's OS). The bluetooth Sync is simple, and it's nice that the FitSmart can store a handful of sessions before pairing so I don't have to worry about it until I want to check out the performance graphs. The battery life is pretty great too, I probably charge it once every week or two with moderate training use, and full time use as my go-to watch. The buttons are simple - having only 3 buttons to push reduces my chances of getting too far removed from whatever I'm trying to accomplish w/ the device. All in all - I'd say this is a great addition to my training tools, I love the immediate feedback of HR, but even more, I love the Zone Indicator Color, and the fact I don't have to have my phone on me when I train - I can just sync it all later. Great Product, looking forward to updates to the app's graphs after Free workouts, and the HR sensor accuracy while I'm lifting.
This is a great product. I thoroughly enjoyed using it, and kicking it around with my friends. I think one of its best parts is that you aren't forced to use it as an advanced computer chip ball if you don't want to. It's perfectly functional as a normal ball without the gadgets. However with that being said the phone app is great, and with all the self-improvement features that it has it can be very helpful. It is well designed and is simple to use, not to mention great fun.
