micoach is all you need to get the results you want.
First things first - go 1/2 size down. Yea, standard awkward Adidas fit. But once you get that resolved, the fit is absolutely amazing. I questioned the "update" from the Crazy Light Boost 2015 to the 2.5 but as soon as you put it on, you'll realize why. The ankle portion of the shoe is like a sock and it just hugs everything around it. The shoe literally feels as if engineers designed a shoe just for my feet!
These shoes caught my eye from the moment I saw them on another site. I quickly bought them, anticipating my very first pair of lowtops that I actually would hoop in. The Primeknit upper and Boost Cushioning are the standout technical/ cosmetic features of this shoe. The asymmetrical lacing and "burrito wrap" design aid in stability. Forefoot cushioning is probably the reason I rate the shoe just shy of 5 stars. Even though I'm 33 and far removed from youthful condition, my knees hadn't ached after playing until wearing these. Once I threw in some PU insoles, however, this changed and I fell in love again. If you want a shoe that looks uniquely beautiful, this shoe is for you. If you want a shoe with function that matches the form, (buy an insole and then) this shoe is for you.
I bought this product right before my start of the year basketball tournament and arrived the day before. This is a great product for players like me who dive for the ball and play tough at the post. It wasn't heavy or restricting, but I do recommend going a size up so you don't have trouble pulling them up. Only thing that could've been better was the durability. When I dove once the padded part wasn't entirely on my knee so the floor caught the side of it and tore a small hole by the pad. Overall would recommend this to any physical player!
I have to say the craft of my pair of shoes is not good. It's obvious that there are some differences between my right one and left one which focus on the forefoot part. If I have to pay in this price I prefer the teamshoes like Crazyquick 3.
I've owned this shoe going on 4 months right now. Not my daily driver for a shoe. So I currently own boost, bounce, and adiprene. This being my first bounce I have to say I think bounce is actually not quite as good comfort wise adiprene[miles away from boost]. That's not to say its uncomfortable it's just not better in this particular application. Main gripe with this shoe is it doesn't breathe that well[very warm inside]. That said I like them and if you watch the NBA you'll see alot of players wearing this shoe so I assume if the pros like them they're pretty good.
Last year, I copped a pair of D Rose 5 Chicago Ice, first woven version, and it was great. The design is simple and clean. Comfort, amazing. I went 10.5 though my feet are 10. Then last week, checked a pair of Lillard 1 on one of adidas' outlet stores here, outlet or factory stores are fine by the way, tried and compared Lillard's Made in March and Weber State sizes 10 and 10.5, then came into conclusion that I'll go with size 10 on Lillard's. Now that the Ballin Deads are here, I'll skip Drose 6 for the time being because Im waiting, if ever, for the Chicago Ice version of Drose 6, I'll surely buy Lillard's Halloween shoes next week because they are super dope! Great concept, you all at adidas. Keep it up.
Comfortable sneaker, however after owning them for appropriately 2 months now, I have noticed that my right foot has become a little more sore than usual. However, when I rock a different basketball pair the minor pain isn't present afterwards. Keep in mind I am an active athlete when it comes to local basketball leagues. I also play basketball at open gyms 3-5 days a week for 2+ hours. I think this shoe is better as a lifestyle shoe, however if you purchase a pair primarily for basketball, select the crazy light boost 2015. Adidas is STILL my #1 brand though!
These are the best pair of shoes I have ever hooped in and I have over 65 pairs of basketball shoes. They are cheaper than any other shoe and I now have 7 pairs of them. I would recommend this shoe for anyone looking to buy a new pair of basketball shoes
These shoes are my favorite basketball and casual shoes I own! I own the frozen blue/scarlet pair and the brown orche pair and I ball in both pairs. These shoes are so comfortable that I could wear them to the court, on the court, and leaving the court, without ever taking them off!
This is my first adidas basketball shoe since the Rose 3 and its pretty good. The traction on the Lillard 1 was better than I expected. Similar traction found on the D Rose 5, the grooves stuck well on the floor. Playing on a dusty floor, I barely had to wipe and it was doing its job. It gripped to the floor every time I had made a stop. The cushioning in this shoe is adiprene+, which turned out to be pretty good as well. I have yet to play in a shoe which features boost technology but this type of set up in the Lillard 1s helped on impact protection as well as overall comfort. The techfit helped wicked the sweat when playing and it didn't feel like my feet were burning through on my time on court. It allowed my foot to slip in easily, with and without wearing the adizero speedwraps. The internal techfit sleeve helped out even when i tied my laces real tight, they were able to keep the laces from digging into my feet, which was a positive. Aesthetically, the shoe is one of the best for a low top shoe from Adidas, although I would've preferred having both of Lillards logo featured on both sides instead of appearing only on one. The materials used on the shoe are really nice synthetics for a shoe that's only $140. It took zero break in time. I hope the use of materials continue on into the next shoe. The only con to this shoe was the fit/support. I could've gone 1/2 size down and still be fine with the overall fit length wise. Personally, I don't mind the space length wise cause it feels better for myself and has room for my toes. But the shoe fit true to size width wise. The heel slippage in the rear is noticeable, but this can be fixed. I was wearing the adizero speedwraps the second time around when wearing these and it fixed that issue.
These knee pads stay in place even after playing 3 straight games in a hot gym no tugging and repositioning after every trip down the court. Worn other brands that do not match up with these, only wish they came in Navy!
Best hoop shoe. Came from Kobe's to these. Don't plan on going back. Fits true to size and once broken in, you won't want to take them off. Got the all red Rose City's and they are wet!! Will be wearing these for school ball next season!!
I love my shoes I customized them completely for a one of a kind look. But be very careful when you customize the TONGUE portion of the shoe with a custom text. Only 1 shoe gets the custom text. The right shoe will always have DAME on it. I did not know this but still love the shoes. READ BULLET POINTS CAREFULLY!! I did not. Oh well love them anyway!!
I like the shoe...Great Looking Shoe except the heel part is to loose and it looks bulky ..I was size 8 US then went down to 7 1/2 just to make the adjustment. So far great shoe for outdoors basketball and casual. Materials use for the shoe are worth it and very comfortable shoe. Hoping that the D Lilliard 2 would stay true to its roots ..low price shoe and low cut shoe !! Great Adidas Shoe i've bought for my first Adidas Shoe
I gave these 4 stars for Good. They are a step away from being great. First off, they run slightly large in my opinion. I'm a 9.5-10 in shoes, and I went with 9.5 in these. The 10 was too roomy at the toebox after tightening the laces. What makes this shoe good is the traction, transition and court feel, which are all excellent. I like the tech sleeve bootee, but it's also very thin and the lace pressure becomes noticeable after long sessions. That's also a problem because the heel design is not the best. It's too spacious and plenty of people on forums are complaining about heel slip issues. I think going down half a size helps, but I have to lace these on the tight side and that pressure starts to become uncomfortable. So other than that heel design and thin tech fit bootee, they are very good. I don't personally have any heel slip issues, so I enjoy playing in them. Overall, it's a lot of shoe for $105 retail and so far they are holding up very well.
Based on online videos etc I was worried about heel slip but after wearing the shoe for a week the cushion seemed to adapt to your foot/heel and the fit seemed to get better. The heel support is better than I expected and the cushioning is a amazing. Will be buying another pair in a few months.
Love this shoe! The design is so clean and slick. It feels great as well. Doesn't run too narrow so my feet are nice and happy. The only negative I found was that the shoe runs slightly bigger than other Adidas shoes I've owned. None the less, I still think its great and recommend this to others.
I buy shoes very oftn and these have easily become one of my favorites. The boot in the shoe fits your foot perfectly and they are the softest shoe to walk around in that I own. I currently have 4 pair (different colors). I would high recommend this shoe to anyone, also looks great on foot.
The texture and fit are nice just to bully, I will say o was looking to use them for socccer, ha. But they would be nice if I played volleyball, but as for basketball would ask for a little shape, and sleeker design
I'm a huge blazer fan and love Damian Lillard and what he's done for this organization so regardless of feel or comfort I was gonna get these shoes. But now having them they are everything I have hoped for. Really comfortable I get great support for my feet! Thanks for the awesome product can't wait for the next one
I'm not going to lie, I bought these bc I love Dame. The shoes looks great, and have a fresh look. Performance wise, I wish they had Boost but can't beat $105. Played in these and they fit fine in my normal 11 but I recommend going down 1/2 size if you want a more secure fit. I had some heel slip but I usually do in almost all lows and wasn't a deal breaker. Cushioning is good overall and traction is MONEY. Love all the colorways coming out.
This is what you call quality! Not only is Lillard slowly taking over the league his shoe is being slept on.. This is straight fire! For basketball Adidas sticks with performance instead of style for the best experience but, with this DLillard1 they killed it with the proformance & STYLE! This shoe looks great, feel great & worth every penny.. Not to mention it's the shoe of the best player in the NBA. #Lillard4MVP
If you plan on buying these then I advise you to order a size up then what you initially think, and also order another one two sizes up (return shipping is free). The sizes are all over the place. I am about a 15" (5'11, 176lb) calf but the large was very tight. Then I ordered a XL and it's still pretty tight. Would've loved to try out the XXL but I need these for a game pretty soon and don't think I'll receive the other pair in time. Other than the grip on the sizing it seems to offer a good amount of protection and the pads flex to your movements.
My 14yo player has wanted these for awhile. They are hard to find - happy to find the Adidas direct store. He likes them a lot, the size small fits a 100lb kid well. Did not realize only 1 came in the package when ordered from our reg online sports store. Then they out of stock there again. Adidas store had the other one we needed at the same price. Happy with them so far.
I have torn my meniscus in both knees and after wearing these pads they feel great. I wear these over other knee pads and they give me great support. I'm not recommending wearing these pads alone if you have knee problems but they do feel comfortable. They run small. I'm usually an xl but these I had to get 2xl.
