These shoes exceeded my expectations. Compared to regular running shoes when lifting weights these shoes provided the extra support. They are quite stiff and not very flexible at first but over time once broken in they are quite comfortable.
These babies are as hard as a rock. Like I could throw them at someone's head and they would most likely knock out. That's exactly what I want in a pair of squat shoes. They also look super clean. However, I did have to exchange for half a size up. I am a 9 in women's but I had to get an 8 in men's in these because in the 7 1/2's my big toe was getting crushed at the front. I understand these are supposed to be very fitted but that was definitely not the right fitting. But it seems like I am the only one with the problem of them being too small so I might just have very long, thin feet. Altogether, these shoes are a must have if you squat very often.
A great shoe. Hard and firm sole. Good support in the ankle and under the arch. High quality materials. The only thing I would change is in the item description saying the thickness/height of the heel.
Cosmetically it's a nice shoe and they look very well built, but every time I use them I get a pain in my right calf. I tried lifting in another shoe for a while and as soon as I switched back to these the pain returned. There goes a lot of money!
Colors, comfort and durability. At first the shoes felt tighter but as I worked out, it stretched to the right extent making it one of the most comfortable shoes. I even use it for my other training as well apart from weights .
Intermediate lifter, I have had issues with my knees and lower back in the past, these shoes are perfect for squatting. Haven't noticed any issues with my knees or lower back since I started using these, would recommend!
For serious weightlifting shoes, your main options are the Adipowers or Romaleos. Personally, I've stuck with the Adipowers, and I haven't been disappointed. I already own one pair, and picked up another for my rotation. For squatting, snatching, and clean & jerking, they're tough to beat
I have been using the shoes since last year, they are very comfortable, rigid enough to support lifted weights. The only one request I have is the possibility to have choice to bay same type shoes with different hills high, it is having choice between 0. 75 inch and 0. 6 inch.
Really solid shoe, fit perfectly didnt have to go a half size down. In owning it for just over 3 weeks now I feel that my squat form is way better also with my snatches and C&J. I have bad ankle disorflexion so this shoe has really helped
The shoes quite attractive. Unfortunately I felt it was just a hair snug for my toes, when 9.5 fit me a bit loose the way i like for other adidas shoes. The pair I had also has a bit of excess glue. Overall, good lifting shoe!
One of the best weightlifting shoes available on the market. Must have for anyone who is serious about weightlifting. Very stable for squats. Toe box feels tight in the beginning so may take a few uses to break in.
Good pair of shoes with decent quality materials. Just lack of extra metatarsal strap and narrow fit and the fact that it's not a calculated heel for smaller feet is the biggest gripe. Bought these on sale which made it more reasonable. Got them only as a spare to my existing Sabo powerlifts.
If you squat as part of your workout routine, you need these shoes! Forcingredients you to drI've through your heels, it will allow you to achieve better form and stringer lifts. I have wide feed, so by the end of my work out the toe was getting a little agitated but theyou need to break in a little more. Most shoes I buy have that effect.
Adipower shoes are my first weightlifting/powerlifting shoes...love it...got much better depth in my squats on my first day use...more ankle stability, locks to the ground, gives a good push, more balanced....must buy
After 6 weeks I finally got comfortable in these lifters and started to see how well they perform. And then the heel cracked. Only 6 weeks in. Because of that, I have to say that the quality of these shoes is really poor and not worth the $200. Unfortunate, because the shoes did perform well and were comfortable to wear.
I love these! I feel much more stability not just for squats but I wear them for pretty much every weight lifting session. They are a bit narrow at the front, although that was not a problem for me. My only concern is that I might have gotten half a size smaller, I couldn't find a size chart on the adidas page. My left foot is slightly longer so if I wear these for a few hours my toe gets sore. Buy I only wear them for max 2 hours and it's not enough of a major problem for me to wait for an exchange, next pair I'll try half a size bigger.
These were my first pair of Olympic lifting shoes and I'm pretty happy with them. The look, quality, and the balance they give me during Olympic lifts or powerlifting movements is great. I wear a 12 in running shoes so I went a 1/2 size down and that seems to be a better fit although I might have even gotten away with a full size down.
I've been using these shoes on a daily basis for about a year and a half and they are still on perfect conditions. The hill is still solid as new and they've helped me getting countless PR on squats and oly lifts.
I love the product itself, very very high end olympic weightlifting shoe. I used to have the powerlift 2.0 until they were stolen, hesitant to get another pair unless they were the best I could invest in and the adipower are definitely my favorite I've tried so far. Good, sleek looking shoe that is comfortable and easy to tie and strap. No issues so far with scuffing or wear. My only dislike is how narrow the toe end is, but I accept the smaller fit just knowing that it should be a strict fit for support; like a sprinter shoe. Also the custom lettering is incredibly well done.
I first purchased the Powerlift 3s. I liked them all right, but they were beyond uncomfortable, especially in extended squat sessions. A month in, the metal ring around which the strap wraps broke. Adidas was great with the return process, even expediting my replacement product. I went with the AdiPowers instead, and I'm glad I did. They are much more comfortable than the PL3s, more aesthetically pleasing, and I prefer the slightly higher drop. I noticed the biggest improvement on Oly movements, especially the jerk. The AdiPowers feel better built than the PL3s, and I would definitely recommend them despite the substantial price increase.
Adidas has been making weightlifting shoes for a very long time now and that's why I chose to get them. I have to say the fit is great, the materials are great, and the added stability is much better than I was expecting. I highly recommend these shoes, the reviews are all stellar because you're really getting a great product.
Work great for both back and front squats, weight moves easy with these shoes. Forces you to sit back more in the squat to keep the bar path in a straight line and over mid-foot. Sizing wise get them the same size as a pair of vans or converse
Let me begin by saying I love these shoes. I've had them for a week and have used them every day for high bar squats. I have poor ankle mobility due to an old fractured tibia that still has a plate and screws in place, yet the heel lift in the AdiPowers help me keep an upright posture which in turn has eliminated my low back pain. I have gone from a wide hip dominant low bar squat to a narrower stance high bar squat that is more quad dominant. I'm not big on style but they look and fit great! The Velcro strap sets very secure and the tongue doesn't slide down the inside. I wear only for squats so I can't say if they help or are comfortable for other lifts.
I had to use men's sizing because I am a large women's size that most don't carry (12). I ordered a 10.5 and an 11. I went with the smaller size, they are a little big but the 10s would have been too small. Quality is excellent. I use these for squats only and they are perfect, my feet don't budge when I squat. Best purchase ever.
This is my second pair of these lifters. Adidas has always fit my foot well and I have never had quality issues. And I love that I was able to get these customized with my name on the heel. Even with the customization they arrived in s week !!
