How difficult can it be to find a pair of running shorts that do not cover half or the entire upper thigh? Not easy, I think they must have gone out of fashion. But then I found these 2.5" inch split shorts at our local Adidas Store. They are comfortable to wear: light and with a perfect fit. And they have a nice neutral look with a quality feel.
First let me say this, I purchased these shorts based on the design, nothing else. I simply wanted a cool pair of shorts that i can wear on the plane after the race that says Boston Marathon 2015. I am 5'8" and weigh 140 pounds. I got a size medium and the waist is spot on for me. These are 11" shorts and on my frame the shorts come to my knees. Sort of like basketball shorts...that you can run in :) If you are looking for running shorts though, my opinoin, these are not them. I knew what I was getting when i bought them and expected them to be longer so I'm happy with my purchase. These are cool, hanging around the house/conversation shorts about the race, not really training shorts. Keep training!!
Comfortable to train in. I bought medium and found it to be a little loose. I should have bought a small. My gamble as sometimes I'm a small and sometimes a medium. Would definitely recommend, great value and a nice top.
This shirt is light and feels great. I love how ventilated it feels on hot days, very breathable. It is beautiful, I got both the white/orange/purple and the purple/orange. It is very comfortable to wear and the fitting is just about perfect (maybe a touch long, but that is it). The only problem I have had is when I wear an iPhone armband with this shirt. The velcro from the armband clings very easily to the fabric of the shirt, the fabric of the shirt is unfortunately most clingy to velcro around the rib cage area, the same level most people that use an armband place it (bicep). Even the slightest bit of velcro exposed from an armband will cling easily to this shirt and when pulled off from the shirt, it is taking shreds of the shirt with it. I would suggest if you run with this shirt, to do it without the armband or at least, flip the armband around so it doesn't damage your shirt! It could be a design improvement on adidas part. I only seem to have this issue with this shirt, but I still like it a lot. So it is annoying, but my love for the shirt makes it a minor issue for me.
Great fit, so light and comfortable. At the end of a run you dont feel that heavy and wet feeling you do from poor quality running shirts. Putting it on at 5am for a run I feel ready! A pleasure to run in.
I ran a marathon in this yesterday and I must say, I can't believe how great this shirt actually worked. The aluminum dots kept hitting on my back every time the shirt went up and landed back down as I ran and I kept me much cooler than I expected. It got pretty warm towards the end of the run and I didn't notice it as much, but this is still the best shirt I have run long distances in.
i really like this shirt which is amazingly light, smooth and yet immediately after putting it on, i feel warm and comfortable. even on cold winter days, this shirt is the only base layer over the down jacket. i highly recommend it.
The Supernova range by Adidas is great gear for running, I have purchased previous running tops in this range and like the now inclusion of thumb holes in the sleeves which are perfect. Only wish there was more colours to select as long sleeve top is limited.
Must be my age but I'm keen to wear kit which matches ( top, shorts trainers) - this supernova top looks cool with black adidas shorts and trainers with a hint of purple. Nice and cool during a workout. The fit is quite large, I knew this though so ordered a M - I'm 6ft and 13.5 stone - slim build and the shirt fits great - quite long but ok for training.
This is the second Supernova long sleeve shirt I've purchased and they're simply my favourite training tops. They aren't too fitted and are slightly longer so when you're training doing pull ups or other activities raising your arms above your head, the shirt doesn't ride up revealing your abs, which isn't an issue for me, but is for some. Overall, the Supernova range is by far the pick of the bunch for me and highly recommended.
Good fit t-shirt with regular sizing (I'm 38-40 chest and wear a small) . great t-shirt for warm weather runs. Have used it for training runs from 5-10km and a half-marathon race, very happy with it so far.
This tee feels really comfortable and breathable when running. No restriction whilst using the thumb hole and a nice fit all round. Definitely worth a buy for your long running during the winter months.
I've been looking for a nice long sleeve running top for the cold season. Mainly to wear to the gym and running. It's so lightweight, the fabric is breathable, it feels nice against the skin and overall something which has become one of my favourite t-shirts to wear. The fit is very relaxed, it's a bit slimmer with the sleeves but that's normal. Very good so it's not hugging your body all the time.
Very nice, light stretchy material. Forget their size charts. Runs small so size up. I'm a 44" chest and an XL is just barely OK, almost too tight. Recommended. BTW, I bought the Climachill Supernove Singlet at the same time. It was huge and ran large. An XL in that style would have fit an elephant, So if you buy that, size down. Weird.
So it was cloudy, rainy off and on and cool in the low to mid forties for the race. I picked this top to run in and that it worked out perfectly. The extended sleeve and thumbholes were great to start with. Throughout the run I stayed in a zone where I never felt cold or too warm. So for this particular run, this was ideal. Great piece and glad I purchased this at the expo.
