micoach is all you need to get the results you want.
I had such high expectations about this shoe, after a .5 change in size for being too narrow, I switched to 11, used it once and now I am unfortunately unable to return. I own another 3 pair of Boosts and this is the most uncomfortable by far, the arch pain the inner plastic body of the shoe causes makes this unwearable. 180 dollars down the drain.
The new look was out of this world and had to try them for college baseball. The ultra boost in the heel is beyond comfortable and hugs your foot very nicely. Very light as well, forms to your foot and very good grip.
The shoe is fantastic. I would say durability is an issue, but that is the same as literally any shoe on the market today. Yes the outside will fray, no it didn't affect me at all and I am a crossover, quick guard. Traction was great overall, not perfect but great. Cushion is fantastic, despite what others here have said, this is the softest of the boost set-ups and its phenomenal. The prime knit is also great, and the inner bootie compliments it greatly. The fit is great, best fitting Adidas shoe in a long time. I didn't get any blisters or cuts, but I wear long socks always. Also this shoe will fit an ankle brace better than any other shoe. Overall could the shoe have been more durable? Sure, but no shoe really is anymore. It is a great buy and I will be looking forward to picking up a couple of extra pairs of the Crazy Explosive.
Only one complaint... the back/top of the shoe rubs against my heel. Have to wear these shoes with taller socks or they'll rub your heels raw. Other than that, these shoes are awesome. Super comfortable (as long as I'm wearing the right socks), great to run in, and they look great.
Very comfortable and surprisingly supportive. Defintely the best basketball shoe I've ever worn. The PK upper takes absolutely zero break in time. I thought the 4 point lace system was not going to work, but is executed perfectly and keeps you locked in. Heel counter also keeps you from feeling any heel slippage - something I experienced with the Crazylight Boost Low 2016s. Full-length Boost is definitely felt throughout for maximum comfort. As for the outsole, it's not Continental, but it works. I felt no experience of slipping or sliding during hard cuts. Overall the shoe is very low profile and you can feel every millimeter of your foot on the court. No rocking or rollover sensation. I think adidas hit a home-run with the Crazy Explosive PK. Price point is awesome and, in my opinion, a great valued, best bang for your buck basketball shoe.
These have got to be the most comfortable basketball shoes I have ever worn. The primeknit and inner booty (Geofit) is like a nice form fitting sock for your feet. It actually grooves to the shape of your feet over time. The boost is hands down the best cushion in the market right now and is plush and bouncy. These really are the ultra boost of the basketball shoe line up. Lockdown is great in this shoe.. No heel slippage and my toes did not smash into the toe box like how it does in the D Rose 7. As for fit, the fit is true to size. It works well for people with wide feet. If you actually feel the outer sole, such as when you wipe dust off, you'll notice just how wide these shoes are. Now here is the biggest issue with what could have been the greatest basketball shoe to date. The durability of the outer sole is really REALLY bad. Very poor quality. Ive been playing in these for about two weeks and I only play indoors on wood floor. There are already major signs of wear and tear, some parts of the heel area have already completely ripped off. There are like two other reviews that say this and show pictures, and I believe those two guys play indoors as well. I already feel the traction fading away and im sure in another few weeks it may even be bald. Overall, these are awesome shoes and definitely the most comfortable on the market right now. Everything was perfect except the durability of the outsoles. If Adidas used a different rubber compound and used the traction pattern of the D Rose 7 on these Crazy explosives then we have a clear hall of fame basketball shoe. My advice - don't even think about playing with these outside. Almost perfect, almost.
Had the pure boosts before this, these surpass those in comfort which tells you a lot given how comfortable the pure boosts already are. Love the style of the uncaged version too bad the other colors are sold out.
Good for running on cool mornings or days. I have some older Adidas which is 3 inches shorter in length, and sends ideal in length. To long is just wrong, haha! I love Adidas though, and using their web store is great, no shipping and I'm like you and look for a sale. Adidas is function and style. I'm 5'11", 180 lbs, and prefer large size, great fit but would prefer just a few inches shorter in length... But taller dudes prob like this length so i understand.
5'7" 32/33 waist, ordered SM (heather). Perfect fit (loose but not baggy). Very light, cool, airy synthetic fabric. Able to workout w/o thinking about my shorts. I purchased the gray/heather, and the 'heather' is not too pronounced (which is good, because other colors look a little fake online).
The rise is too long for someone 5'9 and fit. The shorts (size small) come down to my knees. These are supposed to be soccer shorts not baggy shorts. The material is very light and feels great. Shame about the poor cut.
I am a huge fan of the original Adidas Ultra Boost running shoes. Having said that the only reason I'm not giving this shoe 5 stars is because the new elastic band they have added above where the shoe traditionally would stop has a seam running down the middle of it that comes to an end at the top and it destroys the back of my ankles when I run. There is only one pair of socks I own that are high enough sit in that same area and cushion it so for now band aids it is.
Best shoe I own! I own a few pair of nice shoes and these are the go to when I need a comfortable pair. I just wish that adidas would have more in stock. I've been on the website for two weeks straight trying to purchase the Original Ultra Boost.
It's a great shoe until you make a sharp turn, then your foot slips off the insole and rips the styrofoam looking material away from the knit part of the shoe. The comfortability of the shoe is tremendous but I feel that adidas could have done a little more to ensure this doesn't happen.
Great running shoes. The cushioning is the best that I have ever had in a shoe. Very comfortable and there is a very noticeable difference when running with these. The only slight complaint that I have with these is that I usually run with ankle socks and because of the design of the shoe my ankle ares is rubbing against the lip of the shoe which is slightly irritating but I think will get better as I break them in. These are a bit expensive but for me I think they are definitely worth it because they are far and away the best running shoes I have ever worn.
I'm coming off the heels of getting a pair of NMDs. My first legit shoe purchase in years. So, that was cool. After taking a second look at my current rotation, I thought I needed another lifestyle/athletic shoe for chilling and going out. Enter the uncaged ultra boosts. The primeknit is detailed with multiple patterns, and the fit is ridiculous. I tried on a 9.5, they were perfect. I tried on a 10, they were perfect. Then, I tried on a 10.5 and those were perfect. The only size available in the navy blue (no gray) was a 10.5. That being said, "I had to cop them". Most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. A minimalist's dream. I'm glad my purchasing power has increased.
Currently I play in the Kyrie 2 and Jordan CP3 IX which are both great shoes but I was looking for something that is more comfortable for my wide feet and has a better cushion. At first the Crazy Explosives were great: The lacing system provides good lock down, the upper primeknit is comfortable especially for wide feet. Support and the Boost are fantastic – maybe one of the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. Unfortunately, Adidas ruined this sneaker with a low quality outer sole. Traction was good at first (doesn’t get close to the Kyrie 2 or Jordan CP3 IX), but after 2 hours of playing I started sliding around on the hardwood floor like on ice skates (wiping didn’t help). The outer sole pattern started to fall apart and the whole sole itself is a dirt magnet. If your name is Andrew Wiggins and you get a new pair of Crazy Explosives for every game this show is great otherwise not worth the $150. I really wanted to like this shoe – but the low quality outer sole with declining traction is a deal breaker. I also tested the D Rose 7 which has a far better traction and durable materials (but runs to narrow for wide feet).
The sole has got to be the most comfortable one my feet have been in yet. You can feel the reflex of the "boost" when walking and it feels great. I bought two pairs, one red and one navy. they are amazing!
The jacket and pants didn't match in color or fabric type. I liked the "OLD" Track/Training suits from the 1970-80's. They zipped in the legs so one could get the pants on or off without having to remove your shoes. Also the fabric was like a satinine outside and had a really comfortable and soft inner fabric. They were easy to keep clean and maintain. I was the Athletic Trainer ATC for 7 high schools in the Des Moines Unified High School District in Des Moines, IA; and I also worked at Drake University in Des Moines, IA; Iowa State in Ames, IA; and University of Iowa in Iowa City, IA. A Anyway, I wish you would manufacture the old suits again as they were fantastic. I had a couple of suits for each school in their colors, about 20 in all.
My regular ultra boost is 8.5. So i order the uncaged for the same size. But the uncaged model is way smaller than the regular unltrboost even they are the same size 8.5. the shoes is very narrow. You shall have to tell the customers to get minimum of half size bigger.
This is my second pair of ultraboost and i'm still in love, but I like the caged better because the back stitching of the uncaged was digging into my Achilles heel but i was wearing no show socks. Other than that they are perfect quality, comfort, and perfect aesthetically.
love the feel of boost on the shoe... the torsion system gets torn up pretty quickly and isn't the most stylish shoe... but works great for cross country and has a lot of mileage with minimum signs of being worn!
I ran my first Hood to Coast with these bad boys and I can confidently say that they were a huge reason I managed to complete the race in good time and less pain than expected. Keep up the good product creation!
I wanted to like this shoe. Aesthetically it speaks to me. But first time stepping on the floor I had some major problems. Traction is fine, but having played in a ton of basketball shoes it doesn't touch '11, '13 hyperdunk or Kobe 9. The whole shoe has an inner liner, so I don't know if the primeknit is all necessary. The laces don't stay locked down in the middle unless you work hard for it. The boost doesn't feel like boost, it felt hard. Maybe I got a bad pair? Still the aesthetics are killer, so thats hard to pass up. But from a performance stand point, I'm pretty disappointed.
Great shoe most comfortable shoe I have ever worn. However they are sized a half size small so I wish I would have gone a half size up. They fit to your foot like a sock and you feel like you are walking on pillows.
Possibly the most comfortable shoes I've ever had on my feet, whether for basketball or not. Boost is awesome but unfortunately they come with a tissue paper thin insole. And seeing as how the cushion thins out at the ball of the foot, I recommend putting a thicker one in if you decide to buy. Biggest problem however is the traction. Initially it's incredible, not very squeaky but the pattern makes it incredible nonetheless. But then after about three weeks of strictly indoor play it starts to fray and goes downhill fast. Now I can pretty much expect to slide. Hopefully there'll be a version in the future with a more durable traction but until then it's not worth $150.
