How difficult can it be to find a pair of running shorts that do not cover half or the entire upper thigh? Not easy, I think they must have gone out of fashion. But then I found these 2.5" inch split shorts at our local Adidas Store. They are comfortable to wear: light and with a perfect fit. And they have a nice neutral look with a quality feel.
I love the Adistar Boosts ESM! The addition of the mesh upper makes the shoes more breathable and the superior Boost sole provides cushioning for every kind of step. The flexibility of the Adistar Boosts also makes them more versatile running-wise, but these shoes are the best for walking and easy runs. I gave these shoes 4 stars out of 5 only because these shoes are NOT TRUE TO SIZE. I wear a size 13. And comparing the Adistar Boost ESM to the Supernova Boosts lines, the Supernovas are truer and more breathable in my natural size. The ESM 13's felt like a true size 12. No toe room at all. I returned and exchanged the Adistar ESM for a size 14 and instantly fell in love. They feel as comfortable as the Supernova Boost Glide uppers with better cushioning! Love 'em!
Ok, so I'm in high school cross country, and these are the only shoes i will buy. The cushioning is excellent, the stability is amazing, and the new ESMs have great ventilation. And they look amazing. I would wish they would last a little longer, for the price. But they are still excellent. I cannot recommend them higher/
I didn't plan on spending a lot on jogging trainers. I've only recently started jogging and realised i needed something with more support, light weight and comfort. After trying a range of different shoes from different manufactures i put these on and all i can say is wow! I knew straight away I had to buy them, well worth the price. I even where them to the gym and the comfort, bounce and support are excellent for gym use too.
I really wanted to love these shoes, and did really like the feel of the ESM materials and boost midsole. However, there is a noticeable piece of welded rubber on the inside of the toe area (matching the same-sized piece of rubber on the outside) that would rub my big toe to the point of almost feeling like water torture after a few miles. And longer and I would not doubt have a blister. There also did not seem to be enough padding in the rear heal to keep the plastic heal clutch from rubbing my achilles, also cause for abrasion. Maybe it's just my janky feet, but I was hoping for more in the details for the price of these shoes.
This is my first pair of Adidas running shoes, and I really love it. To be honest, I had my doubts at first as I have always bought running shoes from their biggest competitor. When the Adidas pure boost 1 was launched, I bought it and love the comfortable "pillow-like" feeling of the sole. But I reckon it is more of a fashion sneaker than a running shoe and I could not compare it with my previous pair of running shoes. So based on my initial impression on the pure boost technology, I decided to go ahead and purchase the adistar boost esm. It became clear that I have made the right choice after my first 5km run with the adistar boost esm. But what is surprising is how I felt after my 2nd run the very next day. Usually, with my previous pair, I will be feeling the aches in my feet and ankles. With this Adistar, the soreness did not happen. Leaving everything constant (I run on treadmills only, distance, warm-ups and cool-downs, etc), I feel that this must be attributed to the pure boost technology. To date, I have ran 25kms in this AdistarBoostESM, and I have never felt better running. In fact, I dont recall this same feeling when I first bought my last pair of lunarglides. And because I can now run consecutively without feeling the sore and aches, I have even ramped up my training plans. Apart from the Pure Boost technology, I love how the shoe fit my foot with the techfit upper. It fits like a glove, but yet not constricting when you run. The shoe tongue is plushy, so you will not feel the laces. Some reviewers have complained about the blister forming at the toe area, but I do not have that blister problem. In fact, I find that the rubber piece at the tip of the shoe that caused them blisters helps your feet to stay in place when you run so that you will not "slip" due to the sock-like upper. It might be because they do not have a good fit (ie. they bought a size too small or big), or that they have a badly designed socks with the seams sewn at the toe area. On a side note, I strongly suggest you to invest in a pair of running socks as it does make a difference. Running socks are sewn differently, and the seams are actually further back before the nail-bed. They actually do help to prevent blisters and provide comfort when running. In conclusion, I really love the Adistar Boost ESM, and I will definitely recommend it if you are looking at a pair of Stability running shoes.
hands down best adidas shoe on the market right now... great for stability, cushion, shock absorptions. use for any type of training. mostly running, but everyday use is definitely ok. turn heads when you walk around :P
Comfortable to train in. I bought medium and found it to be a little loose. I should have bought a small. My gamble as sometimes I'm a small and sometimes a medium. Would definitely recommend, great value and a nice top.
For me, the adistar Boost ESM Shoes combined real comfort and support with style. I have no hesitation recommending them to anyone wanting an all purpose trainer, whether they are a fitness veteran or just starting out.
This shirt is light and feels great. I love how ventilated it feels on hot days, very breathable. It is beautiful, I got both the white/orange/purple and the purple/orange. It is very comfortable to wear and the fitting is just about perfect (maybe a touch long, but that is it). The only problem I have had is when I wear an iPhone armband with this shirt. The velcro from the armband clings very easily to the fabric of the shirt, the fabric of the shirt is unfortunately most clingy to velcro around the rib cage area, the same level most people that use an armband place it (bicep). Even the slightest bit of velcro exposed from an armband will cling easily to this shirt and when pulled off from the shirt, it is taking shreds of the shirt with it. I would suggest if you run with this shirt, to do it without the armband or at least, flip the armband around so it doesn't damage your shirt! It could be a design improvement on adidas part. I only seem to have this issue with this shirt, but I still like it a lot. So it is annoying, but my love for the shirt makes it a minor issue for me.
Great fit, so light and comfortable. At the end of a run you dont feel that heavy and wet feeling you do from poor quality running shirts. Putting it on at 5am for a run I feel ready! A pleasure to run in.
Overall 4/5 Stars. I know a lot of shoe manufacturer's don't usually cater to people with larger feet (Me being a 13.5-14) even though they sell out of the 11-13s super quickly and are always left with the smallest sizes on Clearance. I got the 13s since they were the largest size. My feet feel a bit cramped and I have to constantly pull up my socks in order to get my shoes on so my feel aren't cramped. Enough about my personal issues, these shoes are great for the most part, I do feel the extra bounce to my step and they are very good running shoes. Used for about a month now and I love them. I'll be looking for some thinner socks to hopefully make up for the crampyness.
The Supernova range by Adidas is great gear for running, I have purchased previous running tops in this range and like the now inclusion of thumb holes in the sleeves which are perfect. Only wish there was more colours to select as long sleeve top is limited.
Must be my age but I'm keen to wear kit which matches ( top, shorts trainers) - this supernova top looks cool with black adidas shorts and trainers with a hint of purple. Nice and cool during a workout. The fit is quite large, I knew this though so ordered a M - I'm 6ft and 13.5 stone - slim build and the shirt fits great - quite long but ok for training.
This is the second Supernova long sleeve shirt I've purchased and they're simply my favourite training tops. They aren't too fitted and are slightly longer so when you're training doing pull ups or other activities raising your arms above your head, the shirt doesn't ride up revealing your abs, which isn't an issue for me, but is for some. Overall, the Supernova range is by far the pick of the bunch for me and highly recommended.
