I bought these to wear out and they are exactly what I was hoping for. They look super trendy and feel like a million bucks. So impressed Adidas. Who knows, maybe I'll try a run in them when my Pure Cadence wear out.
I have been training/running half-marathons and marathons in Adidas Energy Boost shoes because I like the way the feel, but the soles would wear out quickly. These shoes I love because they are very comfortable and durable lasting a lot longer period of time and miles. Only con is the plastic side piece can tightness in the mid-foot area with runs over about 5 miles.
I have skinny skinny feet and these things are super snug. The laces are pointless because there's a band that goes over the top of your foot that tightens the shoe. Also, get a half size up, I has to send mine back and get a bigger size. It wasnt even close to normal size for me.
The shoe without a doubt looks very nice and the boost technology feels great. However this shoe is not the best for running. The toe box is small and the shoe is narrow. Hopefully with more wear they will break in.
I came to purchase these after I noticed how often I was wearing my ultraboosts for casual occasions. I was looking for something with the same feel but loved that these looked more casual and less sporty. In this shoe, I really like the EVA and boost mix. I love the foamy EVA traction and all-over coloration. I like that the ZG colors are chill and the silhouette is not too sporty. I don't wear these to run. I wear them with jeans and slim fitting chinos. I recommend buying a half size larger. I wear a 10 1/2 in the ultraboost and an 11 1/2 in these. My size is normally 11. I don't think the design is perfect (the rubber cage wrap-around thing looks a little strange squashed under the laces) but I like the attempt to make a wearable running shoe that looks good casual/lifestyle. I have the navy pair I'll probably get the grey one as well. The price of these is great. I hope they improve on this shoe and make the elements a little more harmonious. I hope Adidas keeps an incarnation of this around for a while because I'll keep buying them. I am big fan of retro runners and am always trying to pull them off at work. These have the subtle look of those retro runners but with a more modern and durable sole. Nice shoe. I don't normally write reviews, but wanted to in order to inform people to purchase a half size larger. The primeknit version runs truer to size. Why? I don't know.
I had to return these shoes because they were not what I was expecting from adidas boost shoes. I purchased the pure boost ZG because I thought that they would stay significantly more clean than my current pure boost. My biggest–and only–complaint is the toe area. There is a piece of hard material on the inside that guards the front end of the shoe, which caused pain immediately after I put on the pair. The piece (of plastic I assume) makes any sliding of my feet in the shoe painful as the toenails continually bump into the poorly placed piece. Maybe this problem only applies to me, but just in case, I thought I would write a review. I was very satisfied with the look of the shoe; I just do not understand the construction of the shoe.
Boost is the best for my feet with plantar fascitis in my left foot I like to be able to do stuff still. Boost allows me to. These shoes are good looking style would order a 1/2 size up mine are QUITE snug as I ordered my normal size.
I purchased the pure boost prime knit zg before buying the non prime knit and for some reason the soul comfort level were way different. The prime knit are way cushy and the comfort level can't be beat. The non prime knit are still comfortable just not near the level of the prime knit. And it's the souls not the prime knit that is the difference. I would so recommend the prime knit but not the non prime knit.
