Finally a three stripe short at just the right length (at the knee) that aren't clamdiggers. Perfect fit and with the Trefoil and Adidas logo (not just the Trefoil). Size M for 33-34" waist at 5'10" 190lbs. Well done and Old school.
Just got these last week. My favorite pair of casual shorts by far! Look great with t-shirt and untucked button downs and awesome with my new striped Stan Smiths. Very stylish and contemporary slim line cut. Fabric has a nice feel and a quite a bit of stretch to it. For sizing, I followed the recommendations and went up a size from 34 to 36, since I have bigger thighs and butt than a typical 34". Even with that, I feel like I'm right on the edge of being able to wear the 34" or the 36". I suggest if you are average build or smaller go with your typical size. If have a bigger build, go up a size. You will love these shorts. If Adidas comes out with more colors, I will get one of each!
These shorts are made of a lightweight but tough chambray and are really quite smart. Fit is spot on for me (36"); although I normally find adidas' shorts, unlike their tops, to be a bit patchy in terms of consistent sizing. As for the style, these aren't baggy shorts, but nor are they a slim fit - so perfect for me. The item is garment washed, so I don't expect any shrinkage; it also means it's nice and soft and doesn't need to be broken-in. Stitching is straight and true and quality is top notch - as I'd expect for the price. There are a myriad of pockets and the slash pockets have a nice depth. Pocket bags feel durable. Having said all that, the true star of the show is the awesome splinter camoflage print, which is based on Swedish M90. I've loved M90 ever since the 70's when I saw the box art for Airfix's Swedish Airforce Saab Viggen plastic model kit, so these shorts were a no-brainer for me. Although the palette is different to either of the two variants of M90 currently in use with Swedish armed forces, adidas has chosen tones which make these shorts look a bit tactical and definitely dapper. These shorts will only improve with age and I'm looking forward to putting mine through some hard use.
Pretty nice, would buy more in diff colors (charcoal, classic khaki, navy etc)! The fit is actually slim and I appreciate the crotch gusset and stretch for mobility. The waist measured exactly one inch more than the tagged size but stretched a whole inch after a day of wear so keep that in mind. I'm not sure how durable the fabric is but it is kind of thin and does permanently stretch out quite a bit so I had to size down one. These shorts probably wouldn't be good for someone with larger thighs. Finally, because they're glazed, the fabric is glittery under the sun.
Read the reviews on these and thought I'd be on to a winner. Well made and all that, but the 36 (which is my normal adidas size) seemed really restrictive. adidas is not joking when it says these are a slim fit. Wouldn't have been able to do anything active in them so they went back. I honestly couldn't perceive any stretch in these shorts and I couldn't really see what was ergonomic about the construction. I strongly suspect these would suit someone of slim build and in fairness they do look very smart.
I tacked these shorts onto an order, just to see what they were like. Imagine my surprise when I tried them on and didn't want to take them off. I don't know if it's the fit or the fabric (or both) but they feel like a totally unrestrictive second skin. Fabric is light and airy. Print is great. Fit is low, which isn't what I normally go for, but it works really well with these. The pocket is a nice touch and the key leash is a thoughtful addition. Aside from that there are no other pockets, which I think is worth knowing. I take 36" in jeans and the 36" in these is perfect.
I bought these shorts last week and absolutely love them. I'm normally a 32" and went up to a 33". The pocket size on them is huge which is great because my phone doesn't fall out like in other chino shorts. Wish it came in other colours like burgundy.
Firstly, I was very happy with the level of service from Adidas, right down to the packaging. I was fortunate to get these shorts in the sale with -50% off. I had bought in a size medium but they came below the knee even though I'm 5' 11"...not wanting to wear them that big I ordered the small which are a little tighter around the leg but not tight around the waist. Great product, just be sure what type of fit you're looking for...above or below knee level, loose or more fitted. Shame they didn't have my size in another colour as I would've bought them too.
I bought these shorts for my 14 year old nephew who is very particulaar about his clothes and he considers them to be the best shorts he's ever had! They look good on him and are perfect in every way. They are extremely good quality and the price is right too!
Good. Although I had to buy three sizes in order to get a fit. My only issue was that the 32" were an excellent fit on the legs etc. but way too tight on the waist. I then tried a 33" which was fine on the waist, but seemed a much larger fit on the legs etc. i.e., not relative.
I like these shorts - they are very well made, high quality materials and attention to detail - like the zip up pockets. they are also very comfortable. The only nitpick is they seem a tad too tight. wish the L were a little more L, if you know what I mean... Otherwise an A++!
At first i thought i bought something else, but when the package arrived they where exactly what i wanted. A nice pair of 3/4, good material, excelent for a nice walk or a night spent in a club. Overall i managed to make a good hoice when i choose this pair of pants
