I bought these in my true size (6.5 mens) and they were very tight for a while until I broke them in and i think the leather stretched a little. It was very painful for my big toes, I'll be honest. I will probably buy another pair in a 7. These have a classic, minimalist silhouette that goes with virtually everything. Everyone should have a pair of these and they are very on-trend.
Very comfortable and the style is dope, but after a week or two of everyday wear the shell toe became separated from the sides of the shoe, now they look awful and feel weird when I wear them, I was very dissatisfied especially because of how expensive they are
Tubulars are beautiful but it's a bit of an illusion when you put them on. I say this because when you look directly down at your feet they kinda look like snow boots but when other people see them on you they look hot. The front of the shoe is harsh on your toes I can't wear these to work cuz i do like 8K steps at least a day. I love them though they look like toys and everyone always notices them on your feet:)
I love my pair of tubular doom's. These shoes are very fashion forward. This is my first prime knit shoe from adidas and I am very happy with my purchase. I feel like I underpaid for such a high quality shoe.
Front of the shoe where the shell toe and the shoe meet will bust after 6 months of wear. Only worn twice a week. Same thing with 3 other friends who bought this same shoe, would not recommend this at all.
I purchased custom slides. I love the soft suede and puny hair however the band that goes onto of the foot needs to be smaller to fit a woman's foot or more padded to prevent slipping and uncomfortable walking. If I were able to, I would return them since it's not practical to walk in. I would like to order more but will probably be a full size down.
These are some of the best shoes I've ever worn. 3 years ago I purchased a version of these shoes that I customized and only now are they starting to wear out. I was excited to buy a new pair, but disappointed to see that adidas no longer offers a size 15 option for the customizable version of the shoe. That's my only complaint with them. Other than that, you won't find a finer product.
ordered a size 7 for my son but it ended up like a 7.5. I would suggest to order a half size down if you can. The black color looks like like navy blue. Shoe is very stylish and comfortable. Overall good
Everything about the shoes are good, however when I first wear it I had realised the inner sole is different in size, one is my size but the other is definitely smaller than the other. Comfort is good, I love the design but finishing I would say can be improved.
Love these shoes. This color is either super slept on, or adidas finally got the memo and made a ton of dooms to meet demand. It's an intimidating style, but the color keeps it from being too loud and they actually go with a lot of different outfits (I can wear these with anything from chinos to joggers to skinny jeans). The primeknit is very nice and it looks like they added a sort of neoprene reinforcement to the back inside of the sock liner to help against some of the tearing I'd read about for some of the earlier doom models. These don't compare to boost or bounce in terms of comfort, but remember Tubular is primarily a style-focused line. That said, the PK and EVA make this a plenty comfortable shoe in its own right. Favorite shoe I own right now. As with all tubulars, I recommend going 1/2 size down from your true size.
Usually I wear an 11 but i ordered a 10.5 and they fit perfect. I also got mine personalized; the wording could of been a tad bit cleaner but definitely worth the $10 extra. Went with the high tops instead of the lows for fall into winter, but they still look great in winter. And to mix it up from the original Superstars.
This product is comfortable and stylish. Very light weight and an original design. It definitely stands out from other shoes and the prime knit makes it very comfortable. My only discomfort in the shoe is the harder part in the toe box
Stan Smith "Pinwheels" Holy Grail of shoes. Literally everywhere I go wearing this, I get huge positive energy. I visited Sam's Tailor in Hong Kong, and the suitmakers were immediately freaking out. These guys hang out with celebrities every day, for sure they want their customers to be happy, but they were genuinely elated I was planning on wearing a custom white suit with these Stan Smiths. Out here in Asia, the design is so much more future than in the USA - I really hope Adidas continues pushing the envelope and making some seapunk . vaporwave . tumblr cyberpunk style shoes for the kids. Especially back in the US not many companies are really pushing the limits of design in that way (yet). I know based on my Stan Smith pinwheels that Adidas is one brand who is actively stepping it up. Please make some vaporwave cyber-shoes!
I got these shoes because of the style but I wasn't sure how comfortable they were going to be or how well they would fit, but I love these shoes I show them off and they are super comfortable and I can just slip them on. I do recommend getting a size up.
I LOVE this shoe !!! Make more high end /designer suade shoes like this..!!!!!and the strap makes the shoe even better ..make more like this,,and keep this color way!!!..and the red on the bottom of this shoe is killer!!!
Hunted forever for a pair in my size. Sock liner started to tear at the seam after 2 weeks of moderate wear. Can't drive stick wearing these due to Tubular sole. Heel tab could crease if you're not careful. Love the design but these are totally impractical and not durable.
Very comfortable, light weight. But like others have mentioned it picks up dirt like carzy. Brought them on a week long trip to Sanf Francisco and Truckee, Ca; had to clean every time after wearing them. Got to the point that i avoided wearing them on certain occasions.
The Rod Laver has been updated to a gum outsole, which provides better grip and traction than previous versions of the shoe. Way to destroy a classic! These shoes are like bricks and are uncomfortable for everyday wear. My previous pairs were way lighter and were quality shoes. These are garbage and are being returned. Sorry Adidas, you messed up. Bring back the light versions, or just don't bother.
They're beautiful shoes, but the heel is too loose and the toes are too tight. There's no balance. Hence why I had to go with a size down for my heels to actually stay in the shoes while walking at the expense of my toes. However, they seem like they need some breaking in, unlike other sneakers as that front has gotten better, but not by much.
The "customized" version of this shoe is not like the original. It is thin and cheap. I have to buy the custom to get 13.5 size, but the 13.5 size custom is not the same size as the last 3 pairs I ordered.
I have about six pairs of various Stan Smiths. These are my favorites. These are lined. They is so key to the Stan Smith offerings that I cannot underestimate the importance of lining on this model. This shoe is a stone cold classic and extremely comfortable.
I have worn Rod Laver for years. I have a high arch and these were the only shoe that fit my arch and I just had to get a new pair and they changed the arch. Could not wear them. Change back the arch, please.
Some of the most comfortable shoes I own. The inside of the shoe reminds me of a boxing glove, I love it. Great red color to it that just pops when you wear black or white and blends well with all reds. I'm a sneaker lover and take great pride and care of my shoes. When I pulled these out the box it seems like the outside color was almost dirty. Like they've been worn before. I really didn't like that an almost sent them back because of it. I had to clean the red to make it pop even more. I can see glue from where they glued the top of the show to the base of the shoe. I really do not like that as it shows shotty craftsmanship. When I am paying over 100 dollars for a pair of shoes I expect all these imperfections to be perfected. It shows cheapness in the shoe. Addidas, step your game up when it comes to detail. Had the shoes not been so comfortable I would have sent them right back. When people pay this much for shows they expect quality! Bottom line is this: The red on the outside came scuffed and dirty, there is areas where you can see glue from where the connected the top part of the shoe to the sole, they are as comfortable as a pillow, and the shoe box came bent and kind of thrashed.
The shoes are extremely heavy (1# lb ea.) and have a sloppy fit compared to originals. Wearing since 1978 handicapped with one arm serious tennis player! I always ordered 3-4 pairs at a time, because I could tie with hand and foot! Have two new pairs left they suck! Don't waste your money buying, not the same shoe by far!
I ordered the white sole with the black upper and I was not dissapointed with the style. The first time I wore them out my friends were surprised to hear the shoes were adidas and someone came up to me saying they were nice. (Nice job adidas, stepping up your game) One of them copped the pair with the pink soles for just 55 bucks and those were sick. One thing that might be a be helpful in choosing your size is to order 1/2 size down. Absolutely quality materials on the shoes and really well priced.
